“Skills and actions are faster.
— In-game description
Quickness is a boon that speeds up the activation time of skills and actions by 50%.
Mechanics[edit]
- Skills already in mid-cast are affected when quickness is initially applied.
- Skills that are not finished casting when quickness wears off will slow to their normal speed.
- Quickness won't affect your resurrect or finish speed.
- Many skills with a movement component, such as Savage Leap, or skills that block, evade, or make a character invulnerable for a duration, like Crystal Hibernation or Renewed Focus, are not affected by quickness.
- Most skills that block or evade that have an attack component, such as Blurred Frenzy or Shock Shield, are affected by quickness, though there are exceptions, such as Unrelenting Assault.
- Quickness will increase the speed of channeled skills, including non-combat actions such as gathering from resource nodes, opening chests, building siege weapons, or communing with places of power.
- Quickness will only increase the attack speed of regular attacks from devourer, feline, spider, smokescale, bristleback or wyvern pets. On any other pet, quickness does not increase regular attack speed.
- Increasing the casting speed by 50% means an actual reduction of casting times of just 33%.

- Prior to the 26th March 2013 update, quickness would boost attack and action speed by 100% instead of the current 50%. To compensate for the reduction in effectiveness, some skills had their duration increased slightly.
