This article is about the equipment. For the object in the personal story, see Relic (object).
Relics are a category of equipment, available at level 60.[1] They provide special passive abilities and effects to the character, some of which used to be provided by sixth-tier rune bonuses.
Acquisition[edit]
- PvE and WvW
- Core relics are available through crafting and the trading post.
- Recipes are available for purchase from Master Armorsmiths, Master Leatherworkers and Master Tailors.
- Expansion relics are available through collections, instanced content like Fractals of the Mists and Strike Missions, reward tracks, achievements, story progression and more.
- Expansion relics are unlocked account-wide and can be purchased from Junior Archivist and Archivist Ikur as well as the Heroics Notary in World versus World.
- PvP
- All relics are automatically unlocked and are available for use through the PvP Build panel, part of Equipment within the Hero panel.
- Relic of Mercy and Relic of the Cavalier are unavailable.

- Additional expansion relics will be added over time.
- Legendary
- Legendary Relic was introduced in Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure as part of the second quarterly release, The Realm of Dreams.[3]
- This prestigious relic offers the convenience of freely swapping between different relic effects.[2]
- New relic effects for future expansions will need to be unlocked in order to be made used in the legendary relic.[4]

Relic of Akeem | When you disable an enemy that is afflicted by 5 or more stacks of confusion or torment, inflict confusion and torment on enemies around the target. |
Relic of Antitoxin | Outgoing condition cleanses remove an additional condition. This can only affect an ally once every interval. |
Relic of Cerus | Upon using an elite skill, summon an Eye of Cerus that emits a rotating line attack, dealing damage and converting boons into conditions. |
Relic of Dagda | After using an elite skill, fire a projectile at the target or nearest enemy that damages and inflicts conditions. Damage scales with the recharge of the elite skill. |
Relic of Durability | Gain protection, regeneration and resolution after using a healing skill. |
Relic of Dwayna | Regeneration you apply is more effective. |
Relic of Evasion | Gain vigor after evading an attack. |
Relic of Febe | When you use a healing skill, grant nearby allies swiftness and remove movement-impairing conditions from them. |
Relic of Fireworks | Upon dealing strike damage using a weapon skill with a recharge time of 20 seconds or more, deal increased strike damage for a duration. Refreshes duration on stack. |
Relic of Isgarren | After evading an enemy's attack, place the Eye of Isgarren on them for a duration. You deal increased strike and condition duration against enemies with the Eye of Isgarren. |
Relic of Karakosa | Heal other nearby allies when you successfully combo a field with a blast finisher. |
Relic of Leadership | Convert conditions into boons on nearby allies after using an elite skill. |
Relic of Lyhr | Upon healing an ally, shield up to four allies, redirecting a percentage of any strike damage they take to yourself. Allies may only be protected by one shield at a time. |
Relic of Mabon | Upon applying might while in combat, gain Mabon's Strength. At 10 stacks, your might stacks become more effective for a duration, after which you lose all might and Mabon's Strength. |
Relic of Mercy | Revive allies faster and with more health. |
Relic of Nayos | Removing a condition from yourself heals you. |
Relic of Nourys | Gain stacks of Nourys's Hunger every interval and when you remove boons from enemies. Consume 10 stacks to grow larger, dealing increased damage, taking reduced damage, and converting a percentage of outgoing damage into healing. |
Relic of Peitha | After shadowstepping or using a deception skill, fire a blade at a nearby enemy after a short delay, applying torment and increasing your strike damage against that target. |
Relic of Resistance | Gain resistance after using a healing skill. |
Relic of Speed | Increase movement speed when under the effect of swiftness. |
Relic of the Adventurer | Gain endurance after using a healing skill. |
Relic of the Afflicted | Create a Death Nova at a foe's location upon their defeat that inflicts poison and bleeding. |
Relic of the Aristocracy | Gain increased condition duration when inflicting weakness or vulnerability on a foe. |
Relic of the Astral Ward | Gain a Signet of the Astral Ward after using a signet skill. Using a signet skill while this signet is active consumes it to remove conditions from nearby allies and grant them resistance. |
Relic of the Brawler | Deal increased strike damage for a duration when granting protection or resolution to yourself. |
Relic of the Cavalier | Grant yourself aegis, quickness, swiftness, resistance, and might when striking an enemy with your mount's engage skill. |
Relic of the Centaur | Gain stability when you use a healing skill. |
Relic of the Chronomancer | Gain quickness when you use a well skill. |
Relic of the Citadel | After using an elite skill, call down an artillery strike on the skill target or nearest enemy that inflicts stun. |
Relic of the Daredevil | After dodge rolling in combat or evading an attack, your next attack is guaranteed to be a critical hit. (Cooldown: 1 Second) |
Relic of the Deadeye | Gain increased strike damage for a duration when you use a cantrip skill. |
Relic of the Defender | Heal a percentage of your maximum health after blocking an attack. If you block again within 5 seconds, you heal less each time down to minimum of 1%. |
Relic of the Demon Queen | Poison that you apply reduces healing by an additional amount. Disabling a foe applies poison. Disables include stun, taunt, daze, knockback, pull, knockdown, sink, float, fear, and launch. |
Relic of the Dragonhunter | Enemies hit by your trap skills become hunted by you, increasing your strike damage and condition duration against them. |
Relic of the Firebrand | Upon using the final charge of a mantra skill, gain increased boon duration. |
Relic of the Flock | Heal yourself and nearby allies after you use a healing skill. Excess healing is converted to barrier. |
Relic of the Fractal | When you inflict bleeding on an enemy with 6 or more stacks of bleeding, also inflict burning and torment. |
Relic of the Herald | Gain concentration after granting a boon to an ally |
Relic of the Ice | After using an elite skill, launch icicles that inflict chilled at nearby enemies. |
Relic of the Krait | After using an elite skill, emit a wave of corruption that inflicts damaging conditions. |
Relic of the Midnight King | Grant might and fury to nearby allies when you disable an enemy. Disables include stun, taunt, daze, knockback, pull, knockdown, sink, float, fear, and launch. |
Relic of the Mirage | Inflict torment upon successfully evading an attack. |
Relic of the Monk | Increase healing effectiveness to allies after granting a boon to an ally. |
Relic of the Necromancer | Fear you inflict causes foes to move slower. |
Relic of the Nightmare | After using an elite skill, send forth a nightmare pulse that inflicts fear and poison on nearby enemies. |
Relic of the Pack | Grant superspeed, might, and fury to nearby allies after using an elite skill. |
Relic of the Reaper | Chill nearby enemies after executing a shout skill. |
Relic of the Scourge | Upon applying barrier to an ally, gain increased condition duration. When this triggers, refresh the duration of all stacks. |
Relic of the Sunless | Using an elite skill summons a pool on the target enemy that inflicts poison and cripple. Pool duration scales with the recharge of the elite skill. |
Relic of the Thief | Upon striking an enemy with a weapon skill that has a recharge or resource cost, gain increased strike damage. When this triggers, refresh the duration of all stacks. |
Relic of the Trooper | Remove a condition from affected allies after using a shout skill. |
Relic of the Unseen Invasion | Grant yourself and nearby allies superspeed when you enter or exit stealth. |
Relic of the Warrior | Weapon swap recharge time is reduced. |
Relic of the Water | Cleanse conditions from yourself and nearby allies after using a healing skill. |
Relic of the Weaver | Upon using a stance skill, deal increased strike damage for a duration. |
Relic of the Wizard's Tower | After using an elite skill, shield yourself with a projectile-reflecting barrier while summoning a wave that pulls enemies toward you. |
Relic of the Zephyrite | Summon crystals that apply protection and resolution to allies after using an elite skill. Crystal duration scales with the recharge of the used skill. |
Relic of Vass | After using a healing or elixir skill, your next few attacks inflict poison. Healing skills can only trigger this effect once every interval. |
Relic of the Founding | Gain barrier when you successfully combo a field with a leap finisher. |
Relic of Mosyn | Remove a nondamaging condition whenever you evade an attack. |
Relic of the Sorcerer | When you inflict crippled, chilled, or immobile, you also inflict vulnerability. |
Relic of the Twin Generals | Gain might and weaken nearby enemies when you use a healing skill. Gain additional might for each enemy struck. |
Relic of the Wayfinder | Gain increased movement speed, which is further increased while out of combat. When you enter combat, gain a burst of speed. |
Relic of Zakiros | While you are under the effects of fury, convert a percentage of your outgoing critical-strike damage into healing. |
Relic of Atrocity | Your lifesteal damage and healing is increased. |
Relic of the Beehive | After using an elite skill, release a wave of pheromones that causes bees to swarm enemies struck. |
Relic of the Blightbringer | Gain stacks of Greer's Virulence when you inflict poison on a foe. After reaching the maximum number of stacks, the next time you inflict poison also inflicts additional conditions on nearby enemies. |
Relic of the Claw | Deal increased strike damage for a duration after you disable a foe. |
Relic of Geysers | Restore endurance to allies when you grant them vigor. |
Relic of Mount Balrior | After using an elite skill, create an area underneath yourself. Standing in this area increases your outgoing strike damage. |
Relic of Reunification | Gain frost aura and light aura after using a healing skill. |
Relic of Rivers | Gain alacrity and regeneration at the end of your dodge roll. |
Relic of the Mists Tide | Cleanse a condition from yourself when you successfully combo a field with a leap or blast finisher. |
Relic of the Steamshrieker | Burn nearby enemies when you successfully combo a water field with a blast or leap finisher. |
Relic of the Stormsinger | After using a movement skill, your next attack creates an arc of chain lightning that strikes nearby enemies. |
Relic of Sorrow | After using an elite skill, create an area that protects allies and destroys enemy projectiles. |
