“The charr once ruled Blazeridge Steppes, but the rising of the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik left a corrupted swath across the land. Now the legions contend not only against the creatures of the Dragonbrand, but against the ogres who have come down from the mountains.

Blazeridge Steppes is the eastern expanses of Ascalon, bordering the Blazeridge Mountains. Half of the land was twisted into the Dragonbrand when the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik awoke in 1320 AE. It is also the one of the fronts where ogres are invading Ascalon.
Getting there[edit]
- From the Fields of Ruin: The portal is northeast of Rosko's Campsite Waypoint
- From the Iron Marches: The portal is just east of Hellion Waypoint
- From the Plains of Ashford: The portal is east of Duskrend Overlook Waypoint.

- This zone was first revealed during the 2010 Demo at Gamescom.
- Despite its name, the terrain of the Blazeridge Steppes is not a steppe.
- Across the entire Dragonbrand, one can watch The Shatterer periodically fly across the sky.
