Walkthrough[edit]
Mechanics[edit]
- If Zojja dies, the instance will fail and all players will be returned to The Wizard's Tower.
- When Kryptis are defeated, they drop Kryptis Essence on the ground. This essence then can be collected by running over it. The more essence you pick up, the more damage you do, but the less total health you have. You can carry up to 25 stacks at a time without the Essence Attunement Mastery, or up to 50 stacks with the Mastery. Going into a Downed state will cause you to drop all stacks of essence that can be picked up by others or by yourself, once you're up again.
- Turning in essence to Zojja heals her, and powers her Resurrection Spell, that resurrects your allies who died and were turned into wisps.
- Once the final phase begins and the Legendary Kryptis spawns, Zojja becomes immune to all forms of standard healing, and can be healed with essence.
- Kryptis siege engines will occasionally spawn in the four corners of the map. Destroy these to prevent them damaging Zojja.
- If a player joins a Convergence instance that has already started, they will spawn as a wisp awaiting the completion of the current resurrection spell bar.
- If a player dies, they will enter Wisp Form with the special skills below. Some abilities are only available with certain masteries unlocked. These players are invulnerable and may heal, buff, or revive downed players. With the Wisp Pockets Mastery, they will be able to collect Kryptis Essence and bring it to Zojja, speeding up their own resurrection. They can hit their jump keybind to move around more easily.

Phase 1: Start[edit]
It is recommended to have Superior Sigil of the Night and Superior Sigil of Demon Slaying.
The group initially spawns in a central starting island where Zojja will ask to confirm if they are ready. Once the event starts, small groups of typical Kryptis enemies will spawn. Concurrently, 2-minute timer will begin for Kryptis reinforcements to arrive.
After a brief introduction on Kryptis Essence, groups of Avatar of Spite will begin to spawn on the central island in an anti-clockwise direction from northwest, southeast and northeast of the central island. These Avatar of Spite chase Zojja to apply their explosion mechanic (they turn invulnerable as they begin exploding). Breaking their defiance bar will stop them in their tracks temporarily for you to burst them down. In addition, siege engines will also spawn in a clockwise direction on the other 4 corner islands of the map starting from the southwest island and should be destroyed to protect Zojja. Their seige attacks can be seen as darker orange circles within Zojja's hitbox. The Kryptis enemies that spawn around the seige engines despawn together with them being taken down. Both anti-clockwise and clockwise spawns continue throughout phase 1 and 2.
Once the 2-minute timer ends, the reinforcements are 3 Kryptis Champion Avatars to be slain in order to progress to phase 2.
Zojja is also able to be healed by most spells and abilities affecting friendly targets. In addition to the healing she receives from turning-in essences, it is good to have dedicated healers remain nearby Zojja to keep her alive during phases 1 and 2.
Phase 2: Clear Islands[edit]
The objectives to defend Zojja from Avatars of Spite and siege engines from phase 1 continues. The Avatars of Spite on the central island will now begin spawning in an anti-clockwise direction while Seige Engines continue their occasional clockwise spawns. Like in the previous phase, Zojja can still be healed normally during this phase, so having healers prioritize her defense remains important.
All four corner islands of the map will now need to be cleared. 5 Champion Kryptis Lieutenants will spawn on each of the islands followed by a Champion Kryptis General. Defeating each Champion Kryptis General will clear each island individually. Both lieutenants and generals have random Unstable Magic Abilities abilities. When a specific island is cleared of its Champion Kryptis General, the seige engine on that island will also stop its spawn. After all four islands are cleared, phases 1 and 2 are fully completed.
Phase 3 then begins with a legendary creature spawning on one of the 4 corner islands. The party/players who were responsible for the central island defense/healing of Zojja should also remember to completely destroy the last batch of Avatars of Spite or they will continue chasing to where Zojja teleported (Legendary Creature spawn) to and explode on her.
Phase 3: Legendary Creature[edit]
A Legendary creature (Demon Knight, Sorrow, Dreadwing, Hell Sister, or Umbriel, Halberd of House Aurkus) will now spawn. The creature chosen is random per instance, though the available options alternate each week at Tuesday 00:00[verification requested]; only Sorrow and Demon Knight are available one week, and only Dreadwing and Hell Sister are available the following week. However, Umbriel remains a constant, non-rotating third possible boss each week[verification requested].
[edit]
The Legendary creature scatters Kryptis Essence around itself every time it loses 10% health and just before it teleports to the next random island at every 25% health interval. In addition, Zojja now becomes immune to all forms of healing except turned-in Kryptis Essence so it is especially important to continue doing so in order to heal her and charge up her resurrection spell. She also begins taking more damage.
At its final 25% health, the Legendary Creature always teleports to the central island (starting area).
Demon Knight[edit]
Demon Knight is the easier legendary to deal with. Its most dangerous attack has a charge up animation; at this point it needs to be stunned to stop this attack. While it charges the attack, it also deals a massive amount of damage to the surrounding area. His second dangerous attack is a meteor shower. Players will be marked with numerical icons and have a yellowish aura around their computer screens. These players should move away from the group. After a short period, a cluster of meteors will crash down on the area in numerical order, with another cluster shortly after. It is preferable to NOT move towards Zojja when marked.
Sorrow[edit]
Sorrow is the harder enemy as it moves around more often. Break its defiance bar to stop it from flying around and to deal increased damage. It will fly up to summon its Sorrow's Brood. The smaller summoned wyverns often focus Zojja. When it lands, it deals a large amount of damage to those standing below. Barrier can mitigate this, but players with lower health should avoid this attack. When Sorrow is grounded, it's generally safe to stand just at the back of Sorrow, but still on top. If you are knocked into the sky, you can glide to avoid fall damage or access glide-only skills.
Dreadwing[edit]
Hell Sister[edit]
Hell Sister is of medium difficulty. Her defiance bar does not unlock at any point in the encounter. Watch for a large eye above her and look away until it resolves and disappears. She will summon large aoe lines of pulsing rocks that push you back and deal damage. If you need to cross those areas, dodge or use stability. Every time the Hell Sister screams, she is casting an ability, so paying attention to your audio can be helpful. She often selects a random player to teleport to, unleashing a cone attack towards the group. Because of her area attacks and frequent movement, Zojja may take more damage against this boss than in other encounters. While it isn't incredibly dangerous for her to stand on Zojja, groups should endeavor to have the boss between themselves and Zojja so she is less likely to use her cone attacks on Zojja.
Umbriel, Halberd of House Aurkus[edit]
Umbriel, Halberd of House Aurkus is one of the harder bosses. His fight shares multiple mechanics with Kanaxai in the Fractals of the Mists. This fight is considered to be very condition heavy, and all of his attacks apply conditions. Autoattacks apply multiple stacks of bleeding, and during the fight Umbriel will regularly throw out axes that leave damaging area of effect fields immobilizing players as well as applying Exposed for 10 seconds. At 75%, 50%, 25% and 1% health, Umbriel will become invulnerable and spawns multiple aspects. These aspects all need to be defeated to make Umbriel's defiance bar open up, which needs to be broken in order to strip his invulnerability and continue the encounter. After the 75% Aspect split Umbriel will start using Frightening Speed roughly every 45 seconds. Five numbered AOE circles will be placed on players' locations, indicating the order in which Umbriel will attack. Shortly after these markers appear, Umbriel will jump from location to location, downing any players caught within the AOE. After the 50% Aspect split Umbriel will also periodically start casting Dreadful Gaze, dealing damage and applying Fear and 25 stacks of Vulnerability to all players who are looking at him. This mechanic is marked by a large eye appearing above him and the edge of the screen turning yellow, requiring players to turn around and look away from Umbriel until the attack resolves. Finally, Umbriel will start combining Frightening Speed and Dreadful Gaze together after 25%.
Challenge Mode[edit]
Mechanics[edit]
A summary of mechanics may also be found in-game by speaking with the Convergences Portal
- Enemies are stronger
- Zojja requires more essence to revive allies [verification requested]
- Players gain the Unstable Attunement effect when they start a convergence with challenge mode activated.
- When a player is revived from a wisp, they lose Unstable Attunement and can no longer be revived from wisp form.
- Once the legendary Kryptis has been drawn out, all wisps will be revived regardless of their Unstable Attunement status [verification requested] and everyone will be granted the effect once more.
- The Noblesse Oblige mastery is disabled. (Noblesse Oblige removes downed penalties to revive targets and increases resurrection speed towards lower level targets.)
- The Convergence must be completed within the time limit (30:00:00) to log the time and obtain bonus rewards.

Dialogue[edit]
- Pre-Event start
- Zojja: Portaled in as soon as we lost track of your astral fluctuation. I'll need to focus on maintaining our tether to Tyria.
- Zojja: The nearest waypoint is a little out of range, so reviving will be a challenge... Luckily, Mabon taught me a few tricks.
- Zojja: Resurrection spells take a lot of magic. The best source of that here is going to be the essence that Eparch's grunts drop.
- Zojja: Bring that essence to me, and I'll do the rest.
- Zojja: If it looks like I'm about to go down, I'll try to pull us back to Tyria. Hopefully we'll make it back in time for tea...
- Upon catapults spawning
- Zojja: Little hard to concentrate with catapults lobbing stones at my face! Deal with them!
- Zojja: Argh! I keep losing my concentration! Break those catapults to pieces!
- When enough essence has been collected to revive allies
- Zojja: Let me raise you up! Feel the healing energies flow through your veins–rise!
- Zojja: Reviving our fallen!
- High Kyptis event
- Zojja: I can feel the demonic essence in those High Kyptis. Take them down, and I can throw that power back in their face.
- Zojja: Collect enough, and I might even be able to cast some additional protections...
- Zojja: Be careful though. Demonic essence will drain your life force. Plus, there is the whole "possession" thing to worry about...
- Event to slay Generals
- Zojja: Even more of Eparch's personal cortege. Take them out. Let's see if we can entice their leader to make an entrance.
- Zojja: More High Kryptis! Damn it, Eparch. Spread out to defeat them! Maybe we can lure out whoever's pulling their strings.
- Upon Zojja reaching 50% health [verification requested]
- Zojja: More...essence! Bring it...to me!
- Upon Zojja reaching 25% health [verification requested]
- Zojja: If I...get too weak...we're getting yanked straight back to Tyria... More...essence...
- Event to slay final boss
- Zojja: One of Eparch's generals, I... Focus. We need to focus. I'll keep it vulnerable. You take it down.
- Zojja: The raw power...emanating from that Kryptis... It's going to take all my focus to keep it vulnerable to your attacks.
- Upon boss losing 25% health
- Zojja: We've wounded it! Keep up with it, and I'll use that essence to give us a little extra juice.
- Upon boss losing 50% health
- Zojja: Move! Move! MOVE!
- Zojja: Follow it! If we let it escape, we're going to be yanked straight back to Tyria!
- Zojja: Keep it up, keep it up! I know you're tired, but we can't let it escape!
- Upon boss losing 75% health
- Zojja: It's making its way to the center island. We can end this here and now!
- Upon successful completion of the Convergence
- Zojja: Finally... Whew. Nayos is not my scene. Let's head back; breathe in some fresh air?
- Zojja: My toes might be tingling, but at least that's a few less of Eparch's grunts clawing at our feet... Let's head back home.
The Convergence has been calmed, and Zojja will teleport the group back to the Wizard's Tower soon.
- Upon failing to complete the Convergence
- Zojja: I... can't hold on. No choice—I'm pulling us back to Tyria!
