The Silverwastes, once known as the Silverwood,[1] is an explorable zone in the Maguuma Wastes. This area marks the first advance of the Pact toward the Elder Dragon Mordremoth and its army of Mordrem. One of its lieutenants, the Mordrem Vinewrath, is trying to take control of the Silverwastes for its master.
The Silverwastes also boasts a large network of underground caverns, which are mostly inhabited by skritt, who are lending their tunnels to the Pact forces to allow them to travel faster around the area. From time to time, they will close due to the presence of bandits who fled Fort Vandal looking for a new place to set up camp.
There was a tribe of Maguuma centaurs located in the Far Silverwastes nearly twenty years prior to Mordremoth's awakening. However, they were wiped out by Caithe, Faolain and individuals who would form the Nightmare Court while they were looking for Wynne. |

Mail[edit]
A mail will arrive when the player enters the Silverwastes for the first time
Cryptobotanical Society Advanced Gardening <Character name>, Since our rediscovery of the Silverwastes, the Society has been interested in studying the unique physiology of its hardiest...flora. I've sent you an extraction tool that makes the removal of floral organs easier. We're willing to trade you bandit crests in exchange for these Mordrem—er, plant—parts. The fragile nature of floral organs means only the toughest specimens yield viable samples, so the plants must be of considerable strength and stature. I hear there's an underground chamber filled with such creatures in the Silverwastes. Use the extraction device I sent you when you're ready to fight one, and bring me the parts you extract. Happy harvesting!—The Silverwastes Cryptobotanical Society |
