Critical Chance
Critical Chance is a derived attribute that determines the probability that a strike damage attack will be a critical hit. It is displayed in percent, from the minimum 5% to the maximum 100%, at which point every hit becomes critical. Critical Chance is derived from the attribute Precision and can be increased both directly, for example, by the boon Fury, certain skills, traits, and upgrade components, or by increasing Precision – primarily through equipment's attribute combinations as well as food and utility effects. Fury grants a flat 25% increase to Critical Chance in PvE game mode and 20% in WvW and SPvP modes.
Critical Chance is calculated separately for each single hit, including individual strikes in multi-hit skills. Without any bonus attributes from equipment, traits, skills, food or utility effects, a character's base Critical Chance is 5% independent of level. Critical chance displayed in the Hero panel can exceed 100%, but it won't grant any higher chance of critical hits above that number.

- Radiant Power (Radiance) — Attacks against burning foes have an increased chance to critically hit. Your ferocity is increased.

- Burst Precision (Arms) — Burst skills have an increased critical chance. Gain bonus critical-hit chance and ferocity for a duration when you hit with a burst skill. Duration is based on adrenaline spent.
- Smash Brawler (Berserker) — When you hit with a Primal Burst skill, extend the duration of your berserk. Critical-hit chance is increased while berserk.
- High Caliber (Firearms) — You have an increased critical hit chance against foes within the range threshold.
- Hematic Focus (Firearms) — You have increased chance to critically strike against bleeding foes.
- Mech Arms: Jade Cannons (Mechanist) — Melee attacks become ranged, have an increased chance to critically hit, and apply vulnerability. Unlocks the Mech Command skill Spark Revolver.
- Precise Strike (Marksmanship) — Opening Strike has an increased chance to critically strike.

- Keen Observer (Critical Strikes) — Critical-hit chance is increased while your health is above the threshold.
- Twin Fangs (Critical Strikes) — Deal increased critical damage, which is further increased when your health is above the threshold. Gain bonus critical-hit chance when hitting a foe from behind or the side or when they are defiant.
- Hidden Killer (Critical Strikes) — Gain bonus critical-hit chance while stealthed. This bonus lingers for a short duration after you've been revealed.
- Zephyr's Speed (Air) — Your chance to critically strike is increased. While attuned to air, your movement speed is also increased.
- Superior Elements (Weaver) — Dual Attack skills weaken enemies. Attacks against weakened foes have increased critical chance.
- Danger Time (Chronomancer) — Gain additional critical-hit chance against slowed enemies. This bonus also applies to your illusions.
- Quiet Intensity (Virtuoso) — Fury gives an increased critical chance. Gain ferocity based on your vitality.
- Target the Weak (Curses) — Increases critical-hit chance for each condition on the foe. Gain condition damage based on your precision.
- Death Perception (Soul Reaping) — Gain increased critical-strike chance. Gain increased critical-strike damage while in shroud.
- Decimate Defenses (Reaper) — Striking a foe with vulnerability increases your critical hit chance.
