| Seifus was a Blood Legion soldier who disappeared during a battle against the Flame Legion. Years later, he was discovered by an Ash Legion spy in the Citadel of Flame, captured and tortured. The spy managed to smuggle him out of the Flame Legion headquarters, and he was brought, half-mad, back to the Black Citadel. Unable to treat him, the Blood Legion Medics stowed him away out of sight, worried that his madness would frighten new recruits being trained to fight against Flame Legion magic.
It wasn't until after the death of Gaheron Baelfire that something seemed to awaken within Seifus. A dark, fiery magic appeared behind his eyes, turning them red. He abruptly lashed out against his medics, escaping from their care and leaving the Black Citadel forever. A few years later, Charr began mysteriosly vanishing from Pact encampments in the Southern Shiverpeaks, and the Black Citadel sent a team to investigate. There, near the heart of the fiery Mount Maelstrom, they found Seifus, now corrupted by Bloodstone magic as well as Flame Legion magic. Only one member of the Citadel team escaped to report back.
