| Lail was raised within the Ash Legion, but found the legion's sneaky and stealthy methods unfulfilling, despite his profession. Lusting for greater combat, he abandoned the legion and became a gladium, making a name for himself as a lone soldier in the northern reaches of Ascalon. Eventually, the Blood Legion tracked him down, promising him a rank of Legionnaire if he agreed to join a warband that had become newly leaderless. Agreeing after some persuasion, Lail returned to the Black Citadel as a Blood Legion soldier, and has proven to be a great asset for his adopted legion.
