| Lonnk, a rising star of the College of Synergetics, considered himself an equal, at minimum, of his College of Dynamics contemporary, Nokkx. When he was injured as a result of one of Nokkx's experiments going awry, therefore, he took it personally, believing that Nokkx may have caused the accident out of jealousy. His resentment only grew as Nokkx began to make a name for himself with the Durmand Priory and the Pact, while Lonnk was forced to remain in Rata Sum while he recovered. However, he feels that his time is finally approaching, and is determined to prove himself both compared to his rival and in his own right.
