Corilen remains ever the romantic. While Alexei led the team against Mordremoth's forces in the jungle, Corilen quietly fought against the dragon's will, anxious to free the souls of his people from its grip. He was swayed from the campaign against Zhaitan, and determined that it would not happen again, even against the creator of his race.
In order to vent the anger and sadness that the dragon's machinations provoked within him, he learned to channel his emotions into short spans of berserk rage that enhanced his combat abilities. This newfound control over his emotions reinforced his will, and was his key to resisting the force of the dragon's call, while simultaneously doing greater damage to its Mordrem puppets.
Though he shared Caithe's concerns about what would happen to the race if the dragon fell, he also shared her determination to fight even if victory meant death. He would see the Sylvari have freedom, no matter what it might cost him.
