PvP Builds are a mechanic used for PvP, replacing the PvE equipment of the character while participating in any structured PvP mode. The PvP build window can be accessed at any time by clicking on the helmet icon in the equipment section of the hero panel, or by using the "PvP Build" keybind.
Mechanics[edit]
ArenaNet Staff New PvP Build Interface Upon entering the PvP lobby, you'll notice a new PvP specific quick-launch bar at the top of your screen. A few of the options may seen familiar to you, but we've added something new - you can now change your runes, sigils, traits, and stat combinations entirely within your PvP Build Interface. We've also added a few additional runes, sigils, traits, and stat combinations to PvP, so be sure to check those out! —ArenaNet Staff |
ArenaNet Staff Transferring Your Equipment to Your Wardrobe Upon entering the PvP lobby, all your PvP armor and weapon skins from your PvP locker were transferred to your new wardrobe. For every PvP Rank that you have gained, you also received a transmutation charge. If you have other characters, enter the PvP lobby with each one to have that character's skins automatically transferred over as well. With this charge, the PvP locker has been removed. Thank you again for playing PvP and using the PvP locker. —ArenaNet Staff |
Level and attributes[edit]
- Characters are adjusted to a level 80 character:
- Primary attributes set to 1000
- All specializations unlocked
- elite specializations unlocked for the respective expansions you own
Skills and traits[edit]
Characters are limited to their profession skills and traits, and cannot use racial skills or common skills (such as Mistfire Wolf). All skills and traits are unlocked automatically.
Equipment[edit]
- Characters in PvP use the same armor and weapons from PvE and WvW.
- PvP amulets and upgrade components are not items but instead are selected from a set list of options (not all PvE upgrades are available in PvP).
- There are currently only two types of upgrades, sigils and rune, which are selected in the slots of the build window instead of being applied to equipment.
Amulets[edit]
- Amulets are the replacement for specific armor bonuses. A player can select a single amulet to specify which attribute bonuses to receive.
- Accounts have access to most amulets automatically and additional items can be unlocked.
