Walkthrough[edit]
Enter the mission area and talk to Havroun Svena. She will open a portal to the mists for you and your allies to travel through. In fact the scene will change only slightly: you're still in Knut Whitebear's Loft with Eir and your chosen Havroun, but the air becomes misty, the side doors are opened and a norn called Armund the White appears. He is hammering something to the floor. Talking to him reveals that he's been here for a long time and doesn't know where he is, nor where Valda is, but he warns you to be careful.
Go down the left or right stairs. At the intermediate level below are several Sons of Svanir and Icebrood Elementals which you will have to defeat.
Going down another flight of stairs will lead you to Apprentice Valda's spirit and Styrr Frostblade standing beside her. Do not attack him from afar, just approach him for a cutscene to start. He will then summon 5 Sons of Svanir to fight you, open a portal and leave. (If you attack him, he'll stay and fight, making the fight much more difficult).
Valda will then open a portal back out of the Mists. You can talk to her to learn more before you exit via the portal (or have some fun fighting the remaining enemies).

Dialogue[edit]
Upon entering:
- Eir Stegalkin: Svena will open the portal and stay here to maintain it so we can rescue Valda. You take the lead, I'll be right behind you.
Talking to Havroun Svena before she opens the portal:
- Havroun Svena: Let me know when you're ready and I'll open a portal to the Spirit World. After that, you're on your own.
- May the Spirits of the Wild bless our journey. Let's go.
- I'm not ready yet.
Talking to Havroun Svena after she opens the portal:
- Havroun Svena: I'll do what I can with the portal, but the rest is up to you. Please, find and rescue Valda and destroy any Sons of Svanir you find.
- Don't worry. We'll bring Valda back and put the Sons down.
- It's been an honor to fight beside you, Svena. Thanks for all your help.
- We will. Leave it to us, Svena.
Cinematic upon talking to Armund the White:
- <Character name>: You there! Who are you, and what are you doing here?
- Armund the White: My name is Armund the White. I... I don't know where I am. But I think I've been here for a very long time.
- <Character name>: Can you help us find someone? We're looking for the Wolf Havroun Solvi and his apprentice, Valda.
- Armund the White: I don't think so. There have been strange things happening... things that should not be. If you go on, tread lightly. One false step could mean your end.
- <Character name>: Thank you. May the Spirits guide you to rest.
Cinematic upon finding Valda:
- Eir Stegalkin : Look! There's Valda's spirit.
- <Character name>: I see her. She's fighting someone!
- Havroun Grechen: That's Styrr Frostblade. A frostbitten Son of Svanir. He calls himself a dragon shaman. What a joke.
- Havroun Weibe: I recognize that scoundrel. Styrr Frostblade. He calls himself a shaman, but he's a blathering fool. Dragon has no shamans, only slaves.
- <Character name>: You! Leave that innocent girl alone.
- Styrr Frostblade: Faugh! I'll fight all of you at once! Jormag's will is mighty! In Dragon's name, we claim the Mists and destroy the spirits themselves!
- Styrr Frostblade: Come, my brothers! Show these fools the unrivaled power of Dragon!
When Styrr Frostblade opens a portal and leaves:
- Styrr Frostblade: With Solvi's power at my command, I can open as many portals as I need!
Talking to Apprentice Valda during the fight
- I can get us out of here, but I need time. I've been fighting the Sons for so long...can you keep them at bay?
- Consider it done.
Cinematic after defeating the Sons of Svanir
- Apprentice Valda: Praise Wolf that you've come! How long have I been... no, never mind. We have to find Master Solvi!
- Apprentice Valda: He was teaching me to spirit walk when we were attacked. He screamed, then vanished... and in his place, a ragged portal appeared.
- Apprentice Valda: The Sons of Svanir came through it, and I've been fighting them off ever since. They boasted about subduing my master with a magical spike made of corrupted Mist.
- Havroun Weibe/Grechen: Hmm. That, combined with Solvi's power, could create such a portal. They must have attacked Solvi's body in the waking world while his spirit was here.
- <Character name>: Then we'll rescue Solvi's body just as we did Valda's spirit. We'll heal the wound in the veil between worlds, and kill those who inflicted it.
- Eir Stegalkin: First we get Valda out of here. She can lead us to Solvi, and help us prepare for whatever the Sons have in store. Remember, an unprepared hunter quickly becomes the prey.
- Havroun Grechen: So, you're a teacher now, on top of everything else? It suits you, but your lessons will have to wait until we return to the physical world.
- Havroun Weibe: I see you've added "teacher" to your list of occupations, Eir. Your lessons will have to wait, however. Now we must return to the physical world.
Talking to your havroun ally:
- Havroun Grechen: Bear calls me, and I must answer. But she will be watching you in the Mists. She will bless you with strength and reward you with victory. Good luck <Character name>.
- Tell Bear she's in for a show. We'll make the Sons sorry they ever entered the Mists.
- I welcome her blessing and look forward to her reward.
- Havroun Weibe: I must return to my duties as Raven's havroun. But he will be watching you. May he bless you with foresight and reward you with victory. Good luck, <Character name>.
- Raven has already blessed us with your help. Thanks again, havroun.
- I welcome his blessing and look forward to his reward.
Talking to Apprentice Valda after she opens the portal back:
- The portal's ready. Thanks—until you arrived, it was all I could do to stay alive.
- It was my pleasure. Battering the Sons of Svanir is a hobby of mine.
- Not at all. You may be an apprentice, but you handle yourself like a master.
- When the Mists and the havrouns are in danger, all norns must answer.
- It's what we came here to do. Now let's get you home.
After returning to the physical world:
- Apprentice Valda: I have to find Master Solvi. He was meditating near Hunter's Lake when we were attacked.
- Eir Stegalkin: We'll get you there. Are you coming with us, Weibe/Grechen?
- Havroun Grechen: I can't. I have to check in at the Bear shrine. My people need to know about this.
- Havroun Weibe: I can't. I have to check in at the Raven shrine. My people need to know about this.
- Eir Stegalkin: I understand. Thanks for all of your help. Good luck, and may the Spirits watch over us.
Talking to your allies at the end:
- Havroun Grechen: I have to get to the Great Lodge and inform the Speaker of Bear about this. I hope you find Solvi.
- The "Speaker of Bear?"
- The high shaman, Alarrin of the Frost. He's the most powerful shaman in Hoelbrak.
- What does a Speaker do?
- The Speakers oversee the shrines in Hoelbrak where the Spirits appeared when they led us south, away from danger. A Speaker also settles disputes and represents the lodge to locals.
- What's Alarrin like?
- Tough as nails. He may be aging, but he's still stronger than any three people I know. He likes his turf civil and he'll crack skulls to keep it that way.
- Thanks for the info Grechen. I hope to see you again soon.
- Do what you have to do, Grechen. We can take it from here. Thanks again for your help.
- Havroun Weibe: Are we all done? I should take the news to the Speaker of Raven. Good luck finding Solvi.
- The "Speaker of Raven?"
- Moda the Quick. She's the high shaman of Raven in Hoelbrak, and the wisest norn I know.
- What does a Speaker do?
- They're the final authority in this realm for their Spirit of the Wild. They oversee their Spirit's shrines and shamans, settle disputes, and in Moda's case, keep secrets of the Spirits.
- What's Moda like?
- She's smart. Very, very smart. She doesn't say much unless she has to, and she takes everything in, no matter how trivial. She smiles like she knows something you don't, because she usually does.
- Thanks for the information, Weibe. I hope to see you again soon.
- Secrets? What secrets could the Spirits possess?
- I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you and peck out your eyes. Or at least raise you as a minion. Your choice.
- Right, let's avoid that. Tell me more about Moda?
- Right, forget I asked. I'll see you again, soon. With eyes I'll still have.
- Good to know. Thanks again for all your help. I hope to see you again soon.
- Good to know. Thanks again for all your help. I hope to see you again soon.
- We can take it from here, Weibe. Thanks for all your help.

Notes[edit]
- While in the Mists, the Icebrood Seer on either side respawns after a short while.
- Attempting to go down to the bottom floor will threaten to get you out of the instance.
- The Mists version of the Great Lodge opens up two normally separate instances, Hunter's Hearth and Knut Whitebear's Loft, thanks to the side doors opening.
