Walkthrough[edit]
Travel south of Lion's Arch to Stormbluff Isle in Bloodtide Coast and enter the story instance (be careful, the instance is in a 45-50 zone, so to get there, you might have to run through level 45 drakes).
Speak with Tybalt and Demmi to learn about the plan. Eventually, Commander Landon will arrive with allies and attack after a brief conversation. Kill him and his allies to complete this part of the quest. They are not very difficult foes in the first place, but Tybalt's "apple barrels" explode after a certain amount of time, dealing enough damage to kill all of the ordinary foes on their own.
Leave the instance and travel to the back of the nearby cave where the next quest instance is. This takes you to the Chantry of Secrets where you must speak with the Preceptors. After a dialog, speak with Riel Darkwater to choose a tribal race to assist. The available choices depend on your character's race, detailed under racial sympathy. The choice you make will determine the Level 50 story.

Dialogue[edit]
At Stormbluff Isle[edit]
Upon arrival at Stormbluff Isle:
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: Landon's still following us. Are you sure you want to do this, Demmi?
- Demmi Beetlestone: Absolutely. Never been more sure of anything in my life.
Cinematic with Demmi and Tybalt:
- Demmi Beetlestone: Commander Landon won't give up, will he? He'll keep searching for me until I'm dead.
- Demmi Beetlestone: The Order of Whispers can protect me, but only if they lock me up like a prisoner.
- Demmi Beetlestone: I'm tired of being someone else's pawn. I can't live like that. It's time to stop running.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: The Order is willing to relocate you, Demmi. We can give you a new life.
- Demmi Beetlestone: Do you really think there's anywhere in Tyria that my father can't reach? He even has spies in the Black Citadel.
- Demmi Beetlestone: Anyway, what good would a new life be while the dragons destroy Tyria? I can't just sit idle while the world burns.
- <Character name>: So what are you going to do, Demmi?
- Demmi Beetlestone: I know I could go into the Chantry and vanish anyway. Or, the order could bring a hundred agents out here to kill Landon and his men.
- Demmi Beetlestone: Neither of those things will set me free. I have to stand up to Landon myself. I have to show my father that he can't manipulate me.
- <Character name>: I think you're right, Demmi. It's time for you to make a stand. Tybalt and I will help you.
Talking to your allies:
- Demmi Beetlestone: I've made my choice. I'm going to join the Order of Whispers. I can't just sit idly by anymore.
- (Non-sylvari only)
- You've seen a lot of bad things, Demmi. I'm glad you're taking a stand.
- (Sylvari only)
- I don't know what having a father would be like, but...I empathize.
- My father taught me more than he knew, and I'm going to turn all of those lessons to benefit the Order.
- Do you think we can defeat him? Save Queen Jennah and Kryta?
- I hope so. The queen is a good woman, and we humans are a strong folk. We just have to take it one challenge at a time.
- Speaking of challenges: are you ready to confront Landon?
- I am. I'll start with him—and when I'm done, Kryta will be free of my father's influence. You'll see.
- Then the Order will stand beside you.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: Thanks for being so understanding. I know that our partership is new, but...this has really been great.
- I agree. We work well together, Tybalt.
- I hope...I mean, if you wanted to... Oh, nevermind.
- To work with you again? I'd love to.
- Oh yeah? Really? That's great! Hey, wow. That's great of you. So, was there anything you needed to know?
- (if coming back from any question below)
- Just a few more preparations before we're ready to go. What do ya need?
- Sure. What's our plan? (or) What's the plan again?
- An ambush that Landon and his crew won't forget. You'll see.
- Okay. I have another question.
- I look forward to it.
- Why all the apple barrels? Are they part of the plan?
- They look real, right? Totally scrumptious? Good, good.
- Okay. I have another question.
- I'll just wait and see, then.
- I'm ready when you are. (or) Let's get this show on the road, Tybs!
Preparing for the ambush:
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: Hey, Demmi? Got a moment?
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: If you're fighting, you'll need a weapon. Take my rifle. Ever fire one?
- Demmi Beetlestone: Benn tried to show me once, and I nearly shot his ear off.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: (laugh) You're going to be just fine, kiddo.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: Here they come. Commander Landon and his bully boys.
- Demmi Beetlestone: I...I'm ready.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: Don't be frightened. When you stand with the Order of Whispers, you never stand alone.
When Commander Landon arrives:
- Ministry Commander Landon: There's nowhere left to run, Lady Beetlestone. Surrender or die.
- Ministry Commander Landon: Did you think you could hide from me on some remote island? You're under arrest, Lady Beetlestone.
- Demmi Beetlestone: Tell my father I'm not his little girl anymore. I'm free, Landon. Free of him—and free of you.
- Ministry Commander Landon: Lady Beetlestone, if you think a few apple barrels will stop me, you're going to be disappointed.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: Landon, you've got two disappointments coming. First, Demmi's not going back with you. Second...
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: These aren't apple barrels!
During the fight:
- Ministry Commander Landon: These spies have had a terrible influence on you. Especially ones like this filthy, crippled charr and his flunky.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: My name is Tybalt Leftpaw, Lightbringer of the Order of Whispers, and that's Agent to you!
- Demmi Beetlestone: Landon, you dog, tell my father that you failed. I'll never let you capture me alive.
- Ministry Commander Landon: I die... for Kryta.
Cinematic after the fight:
- Demmi Beetlestone: I can't thank you two enough. You saved my life—and you've given me purpose. I'll never be a pawn again.
- Demmi Beetlestone: I'm going to join the Order of Whispers, and become a real operative. In time, I'll do what you do—help to save the world.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: You'll be a great agent someday, Demmi. For now, the information you can give the Order will save a lotta lives.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: Head into the cave. There's a lightbringer inside waiting for you. Maybe we'll meet again someday.
- <Character name>: Tybalt, I think I still owe you an apple cider.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: That you do, buddy. But we've got one last thing on our agenda. The Preceptors have asked to see you.
- <Character name>: The Preceptors? Who are they?
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: The three preceptors lead the Order. They work for the Master of Whispers. His identity is kept secret, to protect us all.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: If they want to see you, it must be big. But don't worry. I'll be by your side.

Approaching the Whispers Agent:
- Whispers Agent: Greetings, Initiate. The Preceptors are expecting you.
- Whispers Agent: You're free to enter the antechamber. Your friend Tybalt is waiting for you there.
- Whispers Agent bows to <Character name>.
- Whispers Agent bows to <Character name>.
Cinematic upon approaching the Preceptors:
- Halvora Snapdagger: Welcome to the Chantry of Secrets, Initiate.
- Halvora Snapdagger: My name is Halvora. Doern, Valenze, and I are the Preceptors. We guide the Order of Whispers.
- Halvora Snapdagger: Riel is our attache, and of course, you know Lightbringer Tybalt. He speaks very highly of you.
- <Character name>: Our operation succeeded, Preceptor. Demmi is safe, and soon we'll have enough information on Caudecus to keep him under wraps for good.
- Halvora Snapdagger: You've both done exceptionally well. Tybalt, we've decided to keep you on field duty.
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: Really? You mean it? I'm going to keep working in the field? I'm going to keep working in the field! Yeah!
- Halvora Snapdagger: As for you, Initiate, we're promoting you to full agent, and permanently assigning you and Tybalt as partners. Congratulations.
- Halvora Snapdagger: And with that in mind, it's time for your next assignment. Riel, give the agent a quick briefing.
- Riel Darkwater: Some of the lesser races have asked for assistance. I'll show you the dossiers, and you can choose where you'd like to investigate.
Talking to allies before making a decision:
- Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw: That was great. Our first mission, completed successfully. Wahoo!
- Something to be proud of, Tybalt.
- Demmi Beetlestone: Hello, <Character name>! Look! We're finally here. Finally safe...and all because of you.
- So this is the heart of the Order of Whispers? Amazing.
- It's a little overwhelming, but between telling them about my father's plans and my own training, I feel like I'm part of a team.
- What are your plans? What do you want to focus on in the Order of Whispers?
- Right now, I'm sharing my knowledge of Krytan politics. I love political intrigue. I think I'd make a good analyst.
- That sounds like a great plan. Good luck, Demmi.
- That's great to hear. Take care, Demmi.
- Now that Commander Landon's dead, what will your father do?
- What can he do? Not much. The chantry's location is a well-guarded secret, and Landon only found us because he followed us the whole way.
- So, if you stay here, Minister Caudecus can't find you?
- Exactly. I'm perfectly safe—and I think sending Landon's body back to Divinity's Reach is exactly the kind of message my father needs.
- You are your father's daughter, Demmi.
- I'm glad I could help you. Good luck, Demmi.
- Halvora Snapdagger: Best in luck in your endeavors, young <Character name>. Our order will be watching you closely.
- I look forward to proving myself, Preceptor.
- Doern Velazquez: What can I do for our newest agent?
- Excuse me, but who are you?
- My name is Doern Velazquez. I'm one of the preceptors of the Order of Whispers.
- Are you from Kryta?
- Kryta? No, no...I mean, yes! Of course. The human nation, right? Kryta. Yes.
- That sounds mighty suspicious. Cantha? You don't look Elonian...
- That information is classified. Maybe we'll talk more about it one day.
- Fine, I suppose. Can I ask something else?
- All right, then. Thank you.
- I see. May I ask you something else?
- What's a "preceptor"?
- We three lead by passing on the Master of Whisper's orders on to agents who take those tasks into the field.
- The Master of Whispers?
- The Master of Whispers is the shadowy individual who leads our order. You're not cleared to know more.
- Understood. May I ask you something else?
- Very well. Thank you, Doern.
- Understood. May I ask you something else?
- Were you ever a field agent?
- Yes. Yes I was. Until my wi...er, partner...was killed in the line of duty. I've worked here at the chantry since then, training others.
- Were you about to say "wife?"
- That's none of your business, Agent. I'd drop this line of questions, if I were you.
- Ah, I see. May I ask you something else?
- Yessir, Preceptor. I'm sorry.
- May I ask you another question?
- Nice to meet you, as well.
- Valenze: Greetings, <Character name>. I'm the order's primary research analyst. Is there anything you need to know?
- What can you tell me about the other members of the order?
- Well, that depends. Some information is classified. Whom do you wish to know about?
- Tell me about yourself, Valenze?
- I'm a Preceptor, focusing on research and information. I also study illusions and other mesmer magic.
- Very interesting. Can you tell me about another member of the order?
- What can you tell me about the tribal cultures I'm to investigate?
- Thank you for the information.

- They sound very capable.

- That's all very good to know, thank you.

- Which race do you want to know more about, Agent?
- I'd like to hear more about the grawl. (if asura, charr, or norn)
- Grawl are violent and primitive. They live in caves, and utilize only simple tools and weapons. Their magic is very shamanic.
- Will you tell me about another of the tribal cultures?
- Very interesting. Can you tell me about the members of the Order of Whispers?
- Thank you. We'll talk more later.
- I'd like to hear more about the hylek. (if asura, human, norn, or sylvari)

- Will you tell me about another of the tribal cultures?
- Very interesting. Can you tell me about the members of the Order of Whispers?
- How interesting. Thank you.
- I'd like to hear more about the quaggan. (if asura, human, or sylvari)
- Quaggans are a race of intelligent creatures that live in the sea. They're amphibious, and...whoo, they have serious tempers.
- Will you tell me about another of the tribal cultures?
- Very interesting. Can you tell me more about the members of the Order?
- Thank you for the information, Valenze.
- I'd like to hear more about the skritt. (if charr, human, or sylvari)
- Skritt are small, ratlike creatures who live underground. The skritt gain intelligence when more of them gather together.
- Will you tell me about another of the tribal cultures?
- Very interesting. Can you tell me more about the members of the Order?
- Interesting. Thanks for the tip!
- Very interesting. Can you tell me about the members of the order?
- Perhaps we'll talk more later. Thanks.
- Not right now, I think.
- Riel Darkwater: Which of the tribal cultures of Tyria would you like to investigate, Agent?
- I've always been curious about the skritt. (if charr, human, or sylvari)
- The skritt are a race of rodent scavengers. Good-hearted but light-fingered, if you know what I mean.
- I choose to investigate the skritt.
- I'll need to think about this a little longer. What were my choices again?
- I've always wanted to swim with the quaggans. (if asura, human, or sylvari)
- The quaggans are an amphibious race. It's said they once lived in the deep ocean, but something drove them toward land.
- I choose to investigate quaggans.
- I'll need to think about this a little longer. What were my choices again?
- The hylek are an enigma. Do we know much about them? (if asura, human, norn, or sylvari)
- They worship the sun, they make potions, and... that's about it. We could definitely benefit from knowing more.
- I choose to investigate the hylek.
- I'll need to think about this a little longer. What were my choices again?
- I could learn a lot by studying the psychology of the grawl. (if asura, charr, or norn)
- The grawl are extremely primitive, and exceptionally ferocious. You're very brave to consider dealing with them!
- I choose to investigate the grawl.
- I'll need to think about this a little longer. What were my choices again?
- It's said the ogres are an ancient race. I want to know more. (if charr or norn)
- The ogres are one of the most ancient races, and yet we know so little about them--other than their dedication to their pets.
- I choose to investigate the ogres.
- I'll need to think about this a little longer. What were my choices again?
- I'll need to think about this a bit longer. Give me a minute to decide.
If you speak to Riel Darkwater after making your decision:
- Riel Darkwater: Best in luck in your endeavors, young <Character name>. Our order will be watching you closely.
- I look forward to proving myself.
