Walkthrough[edit]
- First instance at Junker's Scrapyard
Upon reaching the top platform, you are confronted by a few shady charr that turn out to be poorly disguised Flame Legion soldiers. Killing them triggers a cinematic with Rytlock, where he explains that your ash legion tribune, Torga, has been kidnapped by the flame legion.
- Second instance at the Ruins of Rin
Sicaea briefs you that the flame legion hideout requires a magical key to enter, and that Flame Centurion Kagaar possesses a key and is in the vicinity. Travel with Sicaea and your sparring partner into the misty ruins to find and relieve Kagaar of his key, being aware of the small patrolling groups of flame legion soldiers on the way. Once you have the key, make your way to the hideout in the southwest corner of the map. A second cinematic plays here where Trybulus Griefblade sends his numerous soldiers to attack you. Defeat all of the soldiers to free Torga - annoyingly Trybulus escapes.

Dialogue[edit]
Junker's Scrapyard[edit]
Talking to your sparring partner:
- Clawspur: This gives me a bad feeling.
- Agreed. Proceed carefully.
- Dinky: The hair on my back's standing up. Something's wrong.
- We'll be careful. Come on.
- Euryale: Hold on to your ears, I think we're in some trouble.
- Agreed. We'll proceed with caution.
- Maverick: Hang on. I just got the creeps. Something's wrong here, I can smell it.
- Let's proceed carefully.
- Reeva: Tribune Desertgrave is going to be so pleased. I can't wait to hear how happy she is with us!
- Keep an eye out, Reeva. Something here feels wrong.
Approaching suspicious charr (cinematic):
- Flame Legion Assassin: Here's our prey, just like Trybulus said! He knows every tail-wag you mutts make before you do! Ha!
- <Character name>: Where's Tribune Desertgrave? How did you fanatics get this far into the Citadel?
- Rytlock Brimstone: Bah. How they got in doesn't matter. What matters is how they're leaving: in pieces.
- Flame Legion Assassin: Brimstone? What's a Blood tribune doing here? Trybulus said this was strictly an Ash Legion op!
- <Character name>: Trybulus was wrong. To arms!
After defeating the assassins (cinematic):
- Sicaea the Shrouded: The mission has developed a hiccup.
- Rytlock Brimstone: A hiccup? More like tuberculosis. Tribune Desertgrave's been taken hostage. Griefblade captured Fengar and tortured him to get information on the tribune.
- Sicaea the Shrouded: Now he'll torture the tribune to get what he can from her. I know Flame troops are mustering near the ruins of Rin. That's where they took her, where we must go.
- <Character name>: We'd better wait until dark. That'll give you time to gather a strike force to back us up, Tribune. Then, under cover of darkness, we sneak and you storm.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Reckless. Audacious. Risky, too. I like it! I'll be on your tail when I have the troops to back your play. Good luck, Legionnaire.
Talking to Sicaea the Shrouded:
- Sicaea the Shrouded: We need to get the tribune out of there. Our chances are better if we move under cover of darkness. Meet me at the ruins, and we'll strike after sunset.
- I need to ask you a question.
- Fine, but make it a quick one.
- Why did you bring Rytlock here?
- My contacts told me that Fengar's operation had been compromised. I had to act fast, and I knew he was already aware of our mission to stop the Flame Legion. Tribune Brimstone was my only choice.
- Certainly seemed to do the trick. How'd you get here so fast?
- My contacts are very good. Even with that, though, I barely had enough time to stealth myself and the tribune before Flame got here.
- Why did you bring Tribune Brimstone?
- Good thing you did, too. Let's move out.
- Good point. Let's move out.
- How were you invisible? I didn't see either of you when I arrived.
- My contacts are very good. Even with that, though, I barely had enough time to stealth myself and the tribune before Flame got here.
- Good thing you did, too. Let's move out.
- Understood. We'll plot by day, strike by night.
Talking to sparring partner:
- Clawspur: Flame's getting more dangerous. Tribune Desertgrave needs our help.
- Go with Sicaea. I'll meet you two at the Ruins of Rin.
- Dinky: This is awful. We have to stop this. Or at least stop the next thing they're up to.
- Go with Sicaea and keep her safe. I'll meet you two at the Ruins of Rin.
- Euryale: I can't believe they got to the tribune! When we find Torga, I'll hunt down every last one and set their snouts on fire!
- Calm down. We need to handle this quick and quiet - the Ash Legion way. Follow Sicaea, and I'll meet you at the Ruins of Rin.
- Maverick: Tribune Desertgrave's been kidnapped! Looks like it's time to be big, damn heroes. Am I right, or am I right?
- Right. Go with Sicaea, and I'll meet you at the Ruins of Rin.
- Reeva: Another attack by the Flame Legion in the heart of the citadel? What's the world coming to? We've got to rescue the tribune!
- We will. Follow Sicaea. I'll meet you at the Ruins of Rin.
Ruins of Rin[edit]
Approaching Sicaea at the Ruins of Rin (cinematic):
- Sicaea the Shrouded: Psst! Over here, and keep your ears down! This place is crawling with Flame Legion and the entrance is sealed with magic. We can't get in!
- <Character name>: How do the Flame Legion get inside?
- Sicaea the Shrouded: They use a magical trinket. Griefblade's second-in-command carries it. He's still out here somewhere.
- <Character name>: Then we have a plan. Find the officer, kill him, and use his trinket.
- Sicaea the Shrouded: Quick and quiet, Legionnaire. Let's go.
Talking to Sicaea the Shrouded:
- Sicaea the Shrouded: Take out Flame Centurion Kagaar. Once I've got his key, we can get into the Flame Legion hideout.
- Right.
Talking to your sparring partner:
- Clawspur: Kill Griefblade's lackey, get the magic thing. Heavy on the murder. Got it.
- Right.
- Dinky: Hang on. The second-in-command has the magic thingy, or the second-in-command IS the magic thingy?
- The first. He's got it, and he's about to be dead.
- Euryale: Magic key to open the door, eh? That's heavy-duty warding magic. I'm surprised these idiots are that competent.
- They're just competent enough to be annoying. Come on, let's move out.
- Maverick: Let me know if you need a distraction. I'm glad to rush right out there while you murder them in the back.
- Very brave of you, Mav. Thanks...I think.
- Reeva: This place is creepy. It sends chills up and down my tail. Let's get the tribune and get out of here.
- We'll find her. Just stay close.
After the cutscene:
- Sicaea the Shrouded: The Flame Legion must have gotten wise—my stealth magic isn't working. We'll have to do this the hard way.
While advancing:
- Flame Legion Soldier: For once, I don't hate patrol duty.
- Flame Legion Soldier: Yeah. Sometimes it's easier to think without hearing all the interrogation screams.
- Flame Legion Soldier: Are we safe out here? Ghosts make my fur stand up.
- Flame Legion Soldier: Safe enough. Trust in the legion's magic. In a few days, the Black Citadel will be ours, and we'll have better quarters!
- Flame Legion Soldier: They have the easiest jobs in the legion—cooking, cleaning, washing up. They should flock to us.
- Flame Legion Soldier: They're just stubborn. They all come around eventually.
- Flame Legion Soldier: I hate this place.
- Flame Legion Soldier: We won't be here long. Trybulus has information on Black Citadel's defenses. Soon we move in and claim Ascalon.
- Flame Legion Soldier: The sooner, the better. For Baelfire!
Fighting the Flame Centurion Kagaar:
- Flame Centurion Kagaar: Prepare to bleed.
Talking to Sicaea the Shrouded after obtaining the key:
- Sicaea the Shrouded: I've got Centurion Kaagar's key. Now, to get inside the stronghold.
- We'll get there. Keep moving.
Talking to sparring partner after obtaining the key:
- Clawspur: Got the key. We ready to get the tribune out?
- Ready and able, soldier.
- Dinky: We got the key!
- Now, to get our tribune out alive.
- Euryale: That's the key, all right. It should be safe to open the door. No promises about safety on what happens after that.
- Heh, got it. Thanks for the advice.
- Maverick: That's it? That's the key? I was expecting something...magic-ier.
- This is all we need. Let's get in there and rescue Torga.
- Reeva: We got the key! Now to get inside the stronghold.
- We can do it. Let's move out.
During the quest to open the entrance:
- Sicaea the Shrouded: The Flame Legion centurion is close. Let's drop him before anyone notices us.
- Sicaea the Shrouded: Got it! Now I can open the door to the hideout.
- Sicaea the Shrouded: We're almost there. Keep an eye out for more guards.
- Sicaea the Shrouded: Stand back. I know how to use this thing, but I'm not entirely sure what'll happen when I do.
- Sicaea the Shrouded: Now we just have to find Torga...and hope she's still alive.
After entering through the entrance (cinematic):
- Trybulus Griefblade: Ah, Ash lackeys! Looking for your precious tribune? We locked her up with only that cub's head for company-Fengar, I think his name was. Poor Fengar.
- Trybulus Griefblade: Wait. I know you, Legionnaire. Why aren't you dead? Seems I should've sent more assassins. Ah, well.
- <Character name>: You could've sent ten times as many. Still wouldn't have helped.
- Trybulus Griefblade: I see that. Never rely on a dull knife, as they say. I would have done you personally, but I was busy torturing that chatty cub you sent me.
- Trybulus Griefblade: Of coarse, I don't need him now that I have Torga. She hasn't been as cooperative-yet. But I'm sure Imperator Baelfire will change that.
- <Character name>: Your imperator will never see Torga. Not if I have anything to say about it.
- Trybulus Griefblade: No? Then we'll have to cut out your tongue and keep you from saying anything at all. Guards! Wipe out this annoyance while I get back to work.
During the battle:
- Sicaea the Shrouded: Burn me, it's the Flame Legion!
- Rytlock Brimstone: Eyes front, Flame Legion scum! Death is bearing down on you!
- Sicaea the Shrouded: Good! I was just starting to get warmed up anyway!
After the cutscene:
- Sicaea the Shrouded: The Flame Legion must have gotten wise—my stealth magic isn't working. We'll have to do this the hard way.
Talking to Sicaea the Shrouded during battle:
- Sicaea the Shrouded: Die, Flame!
- That's the attitude!
Talking to sparring partner during battle:
- Clawspur: Blood Flame Legion! I'll kill you!
- On it!
- Dinky: Smush them!
- On it!
- Euryale: Kill them!
- On it!
- Maverick: Hit 'em! Hit 'em!
- I am!
- Reeva: I'll defend you!
- Kill them all!
After saving Tribune Torga Desertgrave (cinematic):
- Tribune Torga Desertgrave: Fengar begged for a mission. He said he was ready, and I trusted him. I caused his death.
- <Character name>: It wasn't your fault, Tribune. Fengar knew what he was getting into. He died a soldier's death, and we can be proud of him.
- <Character name>: Griefblade disappeared as we were closing in, but we'll get him for this, Tribune. I swear it.
- Tribune Torga Desertgrave: I can offer you some help with that. While Trybulus was holding me prisoner, I gathered information from his soldiers. Trybulus has another safehouse at Igni Castrum. That's where he's gone.
- Rytlock Brimstone: I'm not sitting this one out, Torga. Trybulus dies for what he's done. I'll beat him to death with his own horns!
- <Character name>: Respectfully sir. If we storm in, Trybulus will just elude us again. We have to do this Ash Legion style: quick and quiet.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Fine. We do it your way. Sicaea, take Torga back to the Citadel. The legionnaire and I will handle Trybulus.
Talking to your allies after the cinematic:
- Tribune Torga Desertgrave: Well done, <Character name>. I owe you one. There's still...work to do. Trybulus must die...by Ash Legion claw. Don't let Brimstone's soldiers steal our revenge.
- Count on me, Tribune.
- Sicaea the Shrouded: Good job, soldier! I'll take care of Tribune Desertgrave. You bury the mongrel that did this to her. Trybulus can't be allowed to escape again!
- Can I ask you another question?
- Sure, but ask it quickly.
- She'll be fine. Sad, like me, but fine. Fengar will be missed.
- Understood. Can I ask you something else?
- Take care, Sicaea.
Will Tribune Desertgrave be all right?
- You won't be with us on the next mission?
- I'll take Tribune Desertgrave back to the citadel. I'll handle things here, but you have to kill Trybulus. By any means necessary. Clear?
- Understood. Can I ask you something else?
- Quick and quiet, Sicaea. For the Tribune!
- What can you tell me about Trybulus Griefblade?
- He was once Ash Legion. One of our best assassins. So good that he killed his warband and made it look like an accident to cover his tracks. He's sociopathic. Vicious. Be careful out there.
- Understood. Can I ask you something else?
- He's not long for this world. I promise you that.
- Never mind. I'll move out.
- I will. I promise.
- Rytlock Brimstone: My troops and I will tie up the loose ends here. Then we'll deal with Trybulus.
- Can I ask you something, Tribune?
- Sure. Just make it quick. We can't let this trail go cold.
- Don't apologize for what you couldn't help, Legionnaire. You did your duty, and you obeyed orders.
- Can I ask you another question, Tribune?
- Understood. Moving out.
I'm sorry Ash didn't contact you about the Flame Legion's plans. Tribune Desertgrave made the call, and I had to abide by it.
- How'd the Flame Legion manage to get this far inside our territory?
- Their spies are keeping us distracted, that's how! Tribunes at each other's throats, warbands defecting, sabotage. We'll stop them, Legionnaire. But first we have to clean our own house.
- Can I ask you another question, Tribune?
- Yes, sir! Thank you, sir. That's good to hear.
- We'll have to use Ash tactics when we go after Trybulus. Can you keep up, sir?
- Keep up? Ha! You never knew my old friend Ca.. Never mind. Right now, I don't care if I have to fight Trybulus in an evening gown as long as he ends up dead.
- Can I ask you another question, Tribune?
- Ha! I'll try to burn that particular image out of my head, sir.
- Never mind, sir. I'll head out.
- Understood, Tribune.
Talking to your sparring partner:
- Clawspur: Only a coward sacrifices loyal troops to save his own neck. Filthy rotter.
- We'll teach this Griefblade a lesson, Clawspur. A very permanent lesson.
- Dinky: Griefblade let his own soldiers die, just so he could get away! Why does anybody work for this guy?
- He won't have to worry about finding new recruits when he's dead. Come on, Dinky.
- Euryale: I look forward to finding this Trybulus Griefblade and setting him on fire.
- You'll get your chance. Count on it.
- Maverick: That guy just sacrificed loyal troops to save his own neck. You wouldn't do a thing like that, right?
- No way, buddy. I need you to carry my gear!
- Reeva: That Trybulus Griefblade is horrible. Ugly, mean and psychopathic. I'm usually forgiving, but I think we should stab him in the face.
- He won't get away with this. Count on it.

Notes[edit]
- There are various creatures (bats and devourers) around the area that are usually labelled 'green' hostility, but in this instance they are 'yellow' and take minimal damage, while also counting towards the appropriate slayer achievement.
- Your warband partner and Sicaea must be alive and with the player in order to advance past stage 3 (Head for the Flame Legion hideout.)
