Walkthrough[edit]
Relatively straightforward: kill the enemy. Discuss distraction options with Rytlock. You need only to discuss one option. However, implementing those distractions are optional actions. Whatever choice you make to proceed, you must terminate approximately seven or eight groups of five charr soldiers on your way to your ultimate target, Trybulus Griefblade. Kill Trybulus to end the mission.

Dialogue[edit]
Upon approaching Rytlock Brimstone (cinematic):
- Rytlock Brimstone: Trybulus is definitely in there, with a full complement of Flame Legion troops.
- Rytlock Brimstone: It'll be tricky to get close without alerting the guard. Looks like your kind of battlefield, Ash. What's the plan?
- <Character name>: We can't risk face-to-face combat. We need a diversion that'll draw some troops away before we sneak in.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Divide and conquer? I love the classics! Once we separate them, we can destroy them...quick and quiet-like.
- <Character name>: Now you're thinking like an Ash Legion soldier, sir. Follow my lead, and Trybulus will never see us coming.
Talking to your allies:
- Clawspur: Brief the tribune. Then we'll go.
- Good idea. I'll do it.
- Dinky: Talk to the tribune. He's been staring at me. I think he's going to eat me.
- Right. I'll do that.
- Euryale: Brief the tribune. We need to work as a team.
- Good idea. I'll do that.
- Maverick: You should talk to Tribune Brimstone. Tell him it's my plan, okay?
- No promises on that one, Mav, but I'll get him up to speed.
- Reeva: Did you know that Tribune Brimstone likes Asura cuisine? I had no idea! Oh, and you should probably tell him the plan. I didn't want to presume.
- Good call. I'll do that right now.
- <Other warband member>: We should brief the tribune before we proceed.
- Good call. I'll do it.
Formulating a plan with Rytlock Brimstone:
- Rytlock Brimstone: You said something about distractions. What'd you have in mind, <Character name>?
- Know much about the local wildlife?
- Hm. There's some trolls near here, and they hate everything that's not them. We could get them out in the open and watch them cause trouble. What else?
- I've got some other ideas.
- We need distractions, <Character name>, and I'm all ears. Tell me your ideas.
- I can take it from here. Just follow my lead.
- That's a good start. Move out, and follow me.
- These woods are dry. Maybe we could torch something.
- Good idea. I've got some firestarters. There's a bush near the entrance of their hideout that looks downright flammable. Anything else?
- I've got some other ideas.
- We need distractions, <Character name>, and I'm all ears. Tell me your ideas.
- I can take it from here. Just follow my lead.
- Solid. Let's move.
- I think I can short-circuit one of those turrets and make it explode.
- Taking a page from the Iron Legion, eh? Tinkering to turn Flame's own weapons against them - which makes it doubly ironic. I like it!
- I've got some other ideas.
- We need distractions, <Character name>, and I'm all ears. Tell me your ideas.
- I can take it from here. Just follow my lead.
- Solid. Move out.
- I've got some smoke powder. Maybe we could use that?
- Whew! That stuff smells like the hind end of a marmox! Throw that in a bonfire, and you'll get their undivided attention! Any other ideas?
- That's a good start. Move out, and follow my lead.
- Give me a minute to think something up.
Talking to your allies after formulating a plan:
- Rytlock Brimstone: Right behind you, <character name>. With any luck, Trybulus won't know what hit him 'til it break him in half.
- Just half, sir? Wouldn't eighths be more satisfying?
- Yahuk Fellstrike: I hate the Flame Legion. First a cage, then a lava cave. Now this.
- Keepan eye out. Make sure they don't get the jump on us.
- Samona Ironclaw: Heh. These Flame guys are total chumps.
- Dangerous chumps. Make sure they don't get the drop on us.
- Wroda the Quick: We can slip through, no problem. As long as we're quiet.
- Keep an eye out. Make sure they don't get the jump on us.
- Clawspur: Keep your ears down and your tail low.
- Will do. These Flame Legion guys won't get the jump on us.
- Dinky: I thought the Flame Legion were supposed to be dangerous. You make this look easy!
- Thanks, Dinky. Stay alert.
- Euryale: We'll melt these Flame guys into slag.
- You better believe it.
- Maverick: These Flame Legion soldiers can't hold a candle to ya. Ha! Get it?
- Haha. Stay sharp. These guys are everywhere.
- Reeva: These Flame guys are about as smart as my meatloaf.
- Nah. I'd bet on your meatloaf, any day.
In the Quarry:
- Rytlock Brimstone: Come on. Let's invite a few trolls to this party!
At the Quarry Entrance:
- Quarry Entrance: These slavering trolls would attack immediately if provoked.
- Rile up the trolls.
- Let the trolls be.
- Rytlock Brimstone: That did it! Stand clear for the troll stampede!
- Flame Legion Sentry: I hate waiting around. I want to head north to the Flame Legion lands.
- Flame Legion Sentry: It'll be soon. Trybulus ran into trouble, and now the Ash Legion is sniffing around.
- Flame Legion Sentry: So? With the intel Trybulus got from that cub, the citadel's done for. We win.
At the Dying Bush:
- Dying Bush: These dry leaves would easily burn.
- Detonate a charge to light the bush on fire.
- Do nothing to the bush.
- Flame Legion Sentry: What in the_[verification requested] Did you hear that? Stay here, we'll take a look.
- Flame Legion Sentry: Low profile, you idiots! How are we supposed to stay out of sight if we burn down the whole forest?
At the Malfunctioning Flame Turret:
- Malfunctioning Flame Turret: The right tweaks would make this malfunctioning turret explode.
- Sabotage the turret and make it explode.
- Leave the turret alone.
- Flame Legion Sentry: Are we okay out here? Trybulus said the Ash Legion might be onto us.
- Flame Legion Sentry: Ha! Those dimwits couldn't find their own tails with both hands. You'll be fine.
At the Small Bonfire:
- Small Bonfire: Some Flash powder would pep up this fire.
- Throw flash powder on the flames.
- Leave the fire alone.
- Flame Legion Sentry: What in Gaheron's name was that? Check it out!
- Flame Legion Sentry: Burn me alive...there's nothing here? Hmpf. Everyone, back to your positions, and quit playing around!
- Flame Legion Sentry: I don't like this. It's too quiet.
- Flame Legion Sentry: Shut up, and don't question orders. Trybulus might hear you.
Talking with your allies before approaching Trybulus Griefblade:
- Rytlock Brimstone: Die, Flame!
- On it!
- Yahuk Fellstrike: Get him! Get him!
- On it!
- Samona Ironclaw: This traitor's goin' down!
- Totally!
- Wroda the Quick: Break 'em down!
- Will do!
- Clawspur: Die, Trybulus!
- Keep fighting!
- Dinky: Booyah!
- Wipe 'em out!
- Euryale: Kill them all! For Tribune Desertgrave!
- On it!
- Maverick: Thump him! Harder!
- I will!
- Reeva: That's for what you did to our tribune!
- You tell 'em, Reeva!
Approaching Trybulus Griefblade (cinematic):
- Trybulus Griefblade: The irritating legionnaire lives to vex me. Again. I must be cursed.
- Rytlock Brimstone: It's over, Trybulus. Blood and Ash are united against you. You won't get away this time.
- Trybulus Griefblade: Rytlock Brimstone? I take it back, Legionnaire. You bless me with this splendid gift.
- Trybulus Griefblade: Torturing Desertgrave was fun, but the information I'll glean from Brimstone will raise me to the Flame Imperator's right claw!
- <Character name>: I have some "information" for you, Trybulus. I know how you die. And it's time you found out.
Comments made by Trybulus Griefblade during his fight:
- Trybulus Griefblade: Shall we play with you some before killing you? I do hate to be bored.
- Trybulus Griefblade: Not bad, little mice! You just earned my full attention, and it's going to hurt!
- Trybulus Griefblade: I cease to be amused. Bow down, or be destroyed!
- Trybulus Griefblade: No! By Gaheron, I will not die this way!
After killing Trybulus Griefblade (cinematic):
- Rytlock Brimstone: Ha! Nice work, soldier. That was so much fun, I don't want to stop. Here, I'll hold up Trybulus' body, and you kill him again.
- <Character name>: Thanks, but no thanks, Tribune. We've wasted enough time on this Flame Legion scum.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Too true. You've done good work here. You did the Ash Legion proud.
- <Character name>: Thank you, Tribune. It was an honor to have you fight by my side. Not many from Blood Legion would try it our way.
- Rytlock Brimstone: I like knowing how my allies fight. It's the best way to keep them from becoming my enemies. Now, get some downtime. You've earned it.
- <Character name>: Looking forward to it, sir.
Talking with your allies after killing Trybulus Griefblade:
- Rytlock Brimstone: Excellent work, Legionnaire. Even the Flame Legion's spymasters are no match for you.
- Modest, as well. That's rare in a charr. Although, perhaps not in the Ash Legion; where you keep your talents hidden from all. Well...all but me.
- I serve my legion, sir, as well as the citadel. That's an oath I honor proudly.
We were lucky to catch him before he'd gone too far, sir.
- Ha! I like you, Legionnaire. I'll be keeping an eye on your advancement.
- Thank you, sir. You haven't seen anything yet.
There's a time for stealth, and there's a time for outright murder. The trick is being able to distinguish between the two.
- Ha! I admire a soldier who knows proper protocol. Keep it up, Legionnaire, and maybe someday I'll be saluting you.
- I couldn't imagine it, sir. For now, let's return to the citadel.
I prefer kudos accompanied by a proper military salute-21 shots of citadel whiskey!
- I do my best, sir.
- Yahuk Fellstrike: Oh, wow. That was...that was amazing.
- Best warband in the legion.
- Samona Ironclaw: That was awesome. Can't wait to share the good news.
- See you back at the citadel.
- Wroda the Quick: We did it so well! This is the best warband in the Ash Legion.
- Yeah. We absolutely are.
- Clawspur: Good. He's dead.
- We did well, and our warband's stronger.
- Dinky: Tribune Torga's safe, Brimstone's happy, and we're the best warband in the world. We did good.
- Totally, Dinky. Totally.
- Euryale: I'm glad Tribulus is dead, but I can't help thinking he deserved something more painful.
- Next time, I'll see what I can do
- Maverick: So awesome! And I don't just mean me. You were pretty good, too.
- Thanks, Mav. I think we make a pretty good team.
- Reeva: Oh, well done! Trybulus totally deserved everything he got.
- I absolutely agree. Well done. I'm glad you were here with me.
Upon completing this quest:
