Dialogue[edit]
Cinematic upon entering:
- Rytlock Brimstone: ...Talk about that later. I've got a mission for you. You're aware of the refugee situation.
- Rox: Yes, Tribune. I heard the Flame Legion have been mobilizing in northern Diessa Plateau.
- Rytlock Brimstone: You heard right. They're mucking with our assets up there, and it's singeing my fur.
- Rytlock Brimstone: I need you to secure that hatchery we discussed. You think you can handle that?
- Rox: Yes, Tribune. I'll leave right away.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Good. Take any support you can find. You're likely to need it.
- Rox: Yes, Tribune!
Talking to NPCs:
- Rox: I'm sickened by the terrible things the Flame Legion are doing. Attacking a hatchery of poor defenseless baby devourers! That's evil at its worst.
- I heard your orders. You want an assist?
- You bet. The hatchery is north of the town of Nolan, in Diessa Plateau. I'll meet you there. Bring any friends who want to come too. My name's Rox. What's yours?
- (If already spoke to Rytlock)
- <Character name>. I'll see you there.
- (Otherwise)
- <Character name>. How do I get there?
- Head out the northern gate of the Black Citadel into Diessa Plateau. That's Nolan. Just go northwest of the town, you'll find the hatchery. You can't miss it.
- Okay. I'll see you there.
- No kidding.
- Rox: I have to prepare. I'll meet you at the hatchery, okay?
- Where's the hatchery again?
- Head out the northern gate of the Black Citadel into Diessa Plateau. That's Nolan. Just go northwest of the town, you'll find the hatchery. You can't miss it.
- Why is this hatchery such an important asset?
- It's one of the largest Blood Legion hatcheries and training facilities. We've got a lot of resources invested in it. If it were compromised, it would be a terrible loss. Besides, all those poor baby devourers wouldn't stand a chance.
- So, why didn't Rytlock send others with you?
- Blood Legion personnel are stretched thin protecting the citadel and preparing for war. Besides, I know a test when I see one! Tribune Brimstone wants to see if I'm resourceful. I'm trying out for his warband, you know?
- You're trying out for his warband?
- Yeah. I lost my warband in a mining explosion. I'm gladium. Does that bother you?
- What's a giadium?
- It's somebody who survived when the rest of her warband didn't. A leftover, you might say. We end up alone in the world, unless we can convince another warband to take us in. I'd do anything to get into the Stone warband.
- Okay. Meet you at the hatchery.
- Not yet. I'll meet you at the hatchery.
- I see.
- Where's the hatchery again? (Same as above)
- Got it.
- So, why didn't Rytlock send others with you? (Same as above)
- Okay.
- Why is this hatchery such an important asset? (Same as above)
- Sure.
- Rytlock Brimstone:
- (If Forging the Pact completed)
- Commander, welcome. Unfortunately, this is a private defense quorum. Of course, if you have time, I would ask a favor of you.
- (If Braham - Retake Cragstead completed)
- I have a report from Wayfarer Foothills.
- Where? Oh, yeah. That norn kid. You went with him? How'd that turn out?
- Better than expected. Things are rough over there.
- Things are rough everywhere. You want a taste of it? I've got a soldier who could use some back—up. Name's Rox. I just gave her a mission to protect some Blood Legion assets. What do you say?
- Sure, I'm game.
- The North Nolan hatchery is in Diessa Plateau. Just outside the citadel's northern gate. The hatchery is northwest of the town. Go quickly. She'll be there soon.
- Okay, good. I will, too
- Not right now.
- Not so great. I thought you should know.
- I have time.
- In that case, I can use you. One of my soldiers, Rox, needs backup for a mission I gave her. She's protecting important Blood Legion assets. You up for a fight?
- Always. (Same as "Sure, I'm game.")
- Maybe later.
- No time now. Maybe later.
- (If charr)
- Centurion, I'd have brought you in on this emergency quorum, but the Imperator wants to keep the circle tight. If you're willing, you could do me a favor.
- Willing and able, Tribune. (Same as "I have time.")
- In that case, I can use you. One of my soldiers, Rox, needs backup for a mission I gave her. She's protecting important Blood Legion assets. You up for a fight?
- Always. (Same as "Sure, I'm game.")
- Maybe later.
- No time now.
- (Otherwise)
- Guards! Come get this...<Character race>...out of my face!
- Tribune, <Destiny's Edge mentor> sent me.
- I see. Did you bring a message, or something else?
- Only that I'm at your disposal. (Same as "I have time.")
- 'Bye
- (If Braham - Retake Cragstead completed)
- I have a report from Wayfarer Foothills. (Same as above)
- I'm going.
- Quorum Guard: Defense quorum in progress. No visitors! No exceptions.
- So, what's going on in there?
- They're planning an assault on the Flame Legion-and the dredge too, since they seem to have formed an alliance. The Imperator's in there, along with any tribune who could get here in time.
- Sounds serious.
- This is about as serious as it gets around here. War is no laughing matter. Now, move along before I call for someone to walk you out.
- I'm going.
- I see that.
- (If Forging the Pact completed)
- Not even for Pact Commander <Character name>?
- Sorry, Commander. I do have standing order to let you through. Go on in.
- That's more like it.
- All right.
- Smodur the Unflinching:
- (If Forging the Pact completed)
- What's a commander of the Pact doing here? I thought you had dragons to fight.
- A little bird told me there was a battle brewing.
- Well, it's true. We're planning a war. Your support would be welcomed.
- Thank you, Imperator.
- The dragons will wait, for now.
Mail from Rytlock upon leaving instance:
Rytlock Hatchery Trouble You did say you'd go along with my soldier, Rox, to defend our hatchery, right? I read it in your eyes. In any case, I wanted to make sure you knew how appreciative I'd be if you did, and also where to go. Exit the city via northeastern gate that leads to Diessa Plateau. Pass through Nolan and head into the foothills. The hatchery is there. —Rytlock Brimstone, Blood Legion Tribune
If North Nolan Hatchery falls to the Molten Alliance, it will disrupt the charr's war efforts. Interactive map |
