Walkthrough[edit]
Talk to Agent Ihan in Black Haven. After a cutscene, you will be tasked with clearing the Risen from the fort. Fight the Risen Thrall and Risen Brutes along the curtain wall. There are many Lionguard allies you can revive to assist in the fight. Two Risen Abominations will arrive at the gate. They are immune to snares and have knockdown, so dodge, blocking, and otherwise avoid their attacks. Afterwards, talk with the outpost commander. After a cutscene, travel to Salma District and talk with the Order representatives. You will then have a choice between infiltrating the pirates or summoning Alastia's spirit.

Dialogue[edit]
Open world[edit]
Talking with Lionguard Keene:
- Lionguard Keene: Ihan told me you'd be coming. He said to tell you that the bird flew from here to Black Haven. Does that mean anything to you?
- The bird has flown...? Oh! Spy talk! I get it. Thanks. I'll give your regards to Ihan at Kessex Haven.
- We served together in Lion's Arch a few years ago. He...moved on. I stayed to serve the Commodore.
- Nah. I just help them out from time to time. They're in it for all of us, right?
- Makes sense to me. I have another question.
- I must be going.
So you aren't a member of the...?
- I see. Good-bye.
How do you know Ihan?
- Each of them works to defeat the Elder Dragons, but in different ways. I just hope one of 'em finds a way to get it done.
- Sounds like a good summary. I'd like to ask something else.
- Me, too.
Can you tell me anything about the Orders of Tyria?
- No. Thanks anyway.
At Delanian Foothills[edit]
Entering the instance:
- Agent Ihan: Hello, Advocate. You got here just in time. My contacts have spotted Kellach - and a host of Zhaitan's minions are following him.
- <Character name>: You know a lot, Ihan. It's like you have eyes and ears everywhere.
- Agent Ihan: The Order of Whispers knows a lot more than most people realize. We pay attention to everything. The more information we have, the more we can help.
- Agent Ihan: The dragons don't care if you're charr, human, or hylek, so we can't afford to draw imaginary lines between nations.
- Agent Ihan: The Order keeps watch, so that no matter where Zhaitan's minions show up - we know about it.
- Agent Ihan: This one was easy. Kellach is leaving a trail like a forest fire, but that doesn't mean it will be easy to find the spark.
- <Character name>: True. So do you think he's still here?
- Agent Ihan: I can't say. And for the record, that's "I don't know," as opposed to "I can't tell you." I'm hoping the people at the haven can tell us something.
- <Character name>: All right. We'll clean up Kellach's mess and see if we can find evidence that he's still in the area.
Talking to Ihan during fight:
- Agent Ihan: Kellach's leading those Risen across the countryside. The sooner we shut him down, the better.
- Agreed. Whatever he's doing, we have to find a way to stop it.
After defeating Risen Thralls and Risen Brutes:
- Lionguard Williams: We've got abominations! Take 'em down!
Cinematic after fighting the Abominations:
- Lionguard Williams: I owe you one! I've been in the Lionguard for ten years and I've never seen anything like that.
- <Character name>: I'm glad we came along in time. That was a close call.
- <Character name>: Was there a Seraph soldier among the undead?
- Lionguard Williams: Not among the Risen, no, but there was a Seraph that came along just before that. Wild-eyed fellow, kind of twitchy.
- Lionguard Williams: He was talking to himself the whole time, that's why I remember. Muttering about Orr and dragons, and somebody named Alastia Crow.
- Agent Ihan: Crow? She's a seer. The pirates in this area go to her to find out what the weather'll be like. She's crew on a ship docked near Nebo Terrace.
- Agent Ihan: The Order of Whispers contracts her from time to time to predict the future. Maybe she saw something that drove Kellach mad.
- <Character name>: When we find Kellach, I swear, I'm going to stick a bag over his head, beat him with a shovel, and bury him in a hill of fire-ants.
- Agent Ihan: Ha! I like the way you think, Advocate. I suppose we should get back and share this information with Hiroki and Josir.
- <Character name>: You're right. Let's get going. We've got a lot of work to do if we're going to catch Kellach.
Talking to NPCs:
- Agent Ihan: We need to find Kellach and stop him before this carnage gets even more out of hand.
- She was a pirate and a troublemaker. Used to squeeze money from people by promising to read their futures.
- I didn't think so but considering how Kellach is acting I'll bet he believes her. Wonder what she saw...
- Probably something bad. Can I ask another question?
- Sounds like trouble. Come on, let's get back and tell the others.
Read the future? Could she really do that?
- I didn't think so but considering how Kellach is acting I'll bet he believes her. Wonder what she saw...
The Lionguard mentioned someone called Alastia Crow. Any idea who that is?
- It depends what Kellach does next, but regardless we'll use all our cunning to stop him.
- I'm glad to hear that, then.
It'd be nice to solve this problem without risking more lives. Can the Order of Whispers do that?
- We have fewer agents than Vigil's soldiers, and our information is current and political—not based on musty old lore. Efficiency keeps us competitive.
- That makes a great deal of sense. Thank you.
Working with you has been enlightening, Ihan. The Order of Whispers seems very efficient.
- We're close, Ihan. We'll have him soon.
- Lionguard Williams: Without your help our haven would've been overwhelmed. We owe you one!
- He looked alive to me. Wasn't rotting or anything. Just kept mumbling to himself like a madman.
- Can I ask another question?
- Thanks for the information, Lionguard.
That Seraph you saw with the Risen - was he alive or undead?
- She sailed with the crew of the Ravenous. Never met her myself but I heard she was some kind of mystic.
- That and more. Some of the Lionguard used to pay her to read their futures. A child's game, nothing more.
- Very interesting, may I ask you another question?
- Goodbye.
Mystic? You mean a spellcaster?
- Thanks for the information. Good-bye.
Can you tell me more about Alastia Crow?
- We occasionally see one or two roaming the countryside, but this was far more than we could handle.
- Interesting. Can I ask you another question?
- Thanks. Take care.
You should be safe now. Do you often see Risen here?
- Good luck out here.
At Salma District[edit]
Approaching the representatives:
- Scholar Josir: Alastia Crow had a rare talent for precognition. I wonder what Kellach wanted to know?
- Agent Ihan: Whatever it was, I think the information drove him mad. I'm surprised that doesn't happen to more Priory scholars, too.
- Scholar Josir: Clearly, the Order of Whispers has no respect for pure research.
Talking to Logan:
- Logan Thackeray: It's your decision, my friend. I know you'll make the right choice.
- I'll do my best, Logan.
Cinematic with representatives:
- Logan Thackeray: Advocate, good to see you. How'd your mission go?
- <Character name>: We didn't find Kellach, but we discovered that he's connected to a pirate named Alastia Crow. I want to talk to her and see what she knows.
- Scholar Josir: Talk with her? I'm afraid that's impossible. She's dead. Her pirate ship, the Ravenous, was destroyed by an undead attack two days ago.
- <Character name>: You're sure she's dead? Did any of her crew survive?
- Agent Ihan: Even if she's dead, Alastia was a seer. She might have seen this coming, and left something behind that we could use.
- Scholar Josir: A few of her crew are still alive, camped near the wreckage of their ship. She might have told them more about what's going on.
- Agent Ihan: We need to find out what Kellach wanted from Alastia. Pirates don't tend to be trusting folk. I think a little nautical infiltration and investigation is in order.
- Scholar Josir: The Order of Whispers are a disreputable, shady bunch. You and the pirates would get a long just fine.
- Scholar Josir: I have a better suggestion. Even if Alastia Crow is dead, she can still be helpful. I know an accomplished Priestess of Grenth who could summon the pirate's spirit.
- Agent Ihan: The Durmand Priory's "better suggestion" is to disturb the dead? You scholars really will turn over every rock to get your answers—even tombstones.
- <Character name>: Hiroki, any suggestions from the Vigil?
- Crusader Hiroki: None, Advocate. While these two are squirreling for answers, Vigil soldiers will watch for another undead attack.
- Logan Thackeray: It's your call, Advocate. Infiltrate the pirates, or summon Alastia's spirit?
Talking to NPCs before deciding:
- Crusader Hiroki: Faugh! Bah on these library crawlers and sneak thieves. The other orders are wasting time, and people are dying.
- I know, I know. But I don't have to like it. Call on me when you have something. The Vigil will be ready to pitch in again as soon as there's some real action.
- Glad to hear it, Hiroki. I'll see you then.
I understand your frustration, but we have to know where to attack.
- Agent Ihan: Very well, <Character name>. Time to choose.
- The Priory wants to hold a ritual of Grenth to speak with the dead seer's spirit. The Order of Whispers plans to infiltrate the pirates and gain information.
- All right. I understand, thank you.
- I need to think it about before I decide.
Can you tell me both plans one more time?
- Alastia told her crew everything. The hard part will be gaining their trust... but I already have a plan.
- Interesting. Can I ask you another question?
- I'll have to think about it. Thank you for explaining.
Ihan, tell me more about your plan. How do you intend to infiltrate?
- Very well. Do you want to infiltrate the pirates?
- Excellent! I need to prepare. Meet me near the Lionbridge Expanse and we'll take it from there.
- All right, Ihan. See you there.
Whatever Alastia was doing, it's the province of mortals, not gods. I'll go with you and infiltrate the pirates.
- Actually, I need more time to think.
Very well, I'm ready to decide.
- I haven't decided yet, but I will let you know as soon as I do.
- Scholar Josir: So what's it going to be, <Character name>? You should choose quickly, before the situation gets worse.
- The Priory wants to hold a ritual of Grenth to speak with the dead seer's spirit. The Order of Whispers plans to infiltrate the pirates and gain information.
- All right. I understand, thank you.
- I need to think it about before I decide.
Can you tell me both plans one more time?
- Priestess Rhie is greatly favored by Grenth. She can pierce the veil and call Alastia back. It may be dangerous, but we'll learn a great deal.
- Interesting. Can I ask you another question?
- I'll have to think about it. Thank you for explaining.
Josir, tell me more about what this ritual involves.
- Very well. Do you want to summon Alastia's spirit?
- Reaching out to the dead will get us the most information. Meet me by Hezran Outcrop, and we'll get started.
- Thanks, Josir. I'll see you there.
Direct information is best. I'm going to work with you to summon Alastia's spirit.
- Actually, I need more time to think it over.
Very well, I'm ready to choose.
- I haven't decided yet, but I will let you know as soon as I do.
Speaking with NPCs after choosing the Order of Whispers:
- Agent Ihan: We put you in a tough spot, but I trust you're comfortable with your choice?
- I like your confidence, Advocate. Keep that attitude; it'll make you a better pirate.
- Good point. See you at the Lionbridge Expanse.
Those pirates will have information—and it'll be current.
- Scholar Josir: Must've been a difficult decision. I hope you're still certain?
- I'll continue to worry until you return... without a knife in your back. Good luck, Advocate.
- Fair enough. See you soon.
Don't worry, Josir. Ihan and I will get the information from the pirates.
Speaking with NPCs after choosing the Priory:
- Agent Ihan: We put you in a tough spot, but I trust you're comfortable with your choice?
- Well, that's your decision, but I'll admit-the idea gives me the creeps. I'll be here, praying for you.
- It'll be fine, Ihan. Just wait and see.
I'm sure. I want to help the Priory summon Alastia's sprit.
- Scholar Josir: Must've been a difficult decision. I hope you're still certain?
- I agree! The Mists is one of the greatest unexplored frontiers. Think of all the things we could learn!
- Thanks, Josir. I'll see you at Hezran Outcrop.
I look forward to the ritual. Should be very interesting.
