• Expert Examination — Your function gyro grants protection to allies when cast. Using a healing skill's associated toolbelt grants protection to nearby allies.

Notes

• The increased protection effectiveness is multiplicative, so the damage is reduced by 39.6%.
• Protection effectiveness does not affect allies.
• Shield skills casts Ally Ward.
  • This only applies to main shield skills and not flip skills.

July 07, 2020	This trait has been reworked. It now causes the player to activate a skill that grants protection to nearby allies when using a shield skill.
October 02, 2018	This trait now increases the effectiveness of protection on engineers by 20%, causing protection to reduce damage by 40% instead of 33%.
January 26, 2016	The radius of this trait has been increased from 240 to 360.
