Roni Gehianu is a Firebrand found beside the broken bridge at Windchill Pass leading to Derelict Delve. As an Elite Specialization Mentor, he explains to player characters what it means to be a Firebrand.

- Warm yourself by my fire, traveler. We can reminisce about battles won while we fend off the cold. A firebrand always welcomes tales of victories against the Awakened.
I've never heard of firebrands.
- We were lore keepers once. It was our sacred charge to record the achievements and culture of the people of Elona. Our duty is no longer so peaceful.
- What happened?
- Palawa Joko happened. His armies came to slaughter us, and he rewrote history in his own image, destroying everything we stood for.
- So what do you do now?
- We're wiping his corruption from our land and his lies from our lore, one Awakened at a time. We will not be free to return to our sacred duties until this threat is vanquished.

- What makes your style of combat special?
- You'll always find firebrands right in the heart of the battle, wielding our ancestral axes and ancient tomes and chanting war mantras.
- So you prefer close combat?
- We prefer to look our enemies in the eye as we cut short their caustic influence. Close combat is the only way to ensure they're erased from existence for good.

- How does your history as lore keepers affect your technique?
- There are many ways. Our most potent weapons are magical tomes recounting our past deeds. There's poetry in using the tomes our enemies would destroy to defeat them.
- I suppose knowledge IS power.
- Knowledge is just a part of it. The tomes remember justice in Istan, the resolve of Kourna, and the strength of Vabbi. Our heroes grant us courage.
