Get through the Salmon Run as quickly as possible without cheating!

— Adventure objective

Lowland Shore: Harvest Shore Salmon Run is an adventure in Lowland Shore. The player is transformed into a pink salmon and must ascend the river while crossing all markers.

Mechanics[edit]

If you haven't already done so, familiarise yourself with the two useful salmon skills:

  • Skill 1 provides a burst of forward movement and swiftness.
  • Skill 2 provides a burst of vertical movement, which will become a jump if not underwater.

Stack swiftness prior to beginning the adventure, this can be done with concentration gear for extra duration. As you gain swiftness every time you use skill 1, you should easily now be able to maintain swiftness for the entire adventure.

Skill 1 costs 50 points of endurance, and therefore endurance regeneration food (such as Bowl of Orrian Truffle and Meat Stew) is useful. There are 100 point endurance recovery orbs placed between checkpoints which enable more the player to maximise use of skill 1. With the Lowland Beehives (Lowland Kodan tier 2) mastery, passing through a beehive will recharge all of your skills and endurance too (there are one or two of these on the land bit of the adventure).

The only new mechanic introduced with this adventure (versus the other) is that you need to swim into a series of salmon cannons placed along the route in order to gain height. To reach the cannon you can either walk upto it (which may not be possible), or use skill 2 to propel yourself into the nearby area which will usually result in your fishy avatar being placed into the cannon.

Make sure to swim through each of the marked checkpoints on the way to the finish line, it is very easy to fail to trigger a checkpoint (e.g. by swimming too far below it, or by jumping over it).

The associated race event occurs at night, and has more lenient timers that still count towards the Gold/Silver/Bronze achievements.
