Superior Sigil of Justice Unused Infusion Slot — In-game description
The Shining Blade is a legendary sword crafted in the Mystic Forge.
Lore[edit]
Named after the Shining Blade, a human elite force and personal bodyguards of the Krytan monarchy, with its handle shaped like the Shining Blade's emblem. This sword is of Seer origins, gifted to the Shining Blade after their victories over the mursaat during the Krytan civil war, to be used to hunt down the few remaining survivors such as Lazarus. It was then used by Livia to bind the Oath of Confidence ritual she created, and has been housed within the Shining Blade Headquarters since its establishment.

Recipes[edit]
Graphics[edit]
- Aura
- The wielder's arm is surrounded by a purple shroud.
- Draw/Stow effects
- Upon drawing the weapon, purple light is channelled and explodes, encasing the swordarm and the weapon itself in their respective auras. Further, the sword's unsheathing mechanism is triggered, expanding the blade, the crossguard, and the handle and shrinking the guard so the handle can be gripped without harming the wielder. In combat, the sword is covered in purple and golden light.
- While stowed, the crossguard of the sword forms the Shining Blade's emblem, glowing faintly.
- Footfalls
- The user leaves behind glowing footfalls that consist of the emblem of the Shining Blade. The color transitions from gold to purple.
- Skill effects
- Weapon swings leave a yellow-purple trail.
- Ranged skills will throw The Shining Blade instead of the default projectile. This effect changes the following skills:
- Guardian: Zealot's Defense.
- Holosmith: Blade Burst, Particle Accelerator, Refraction Cutter. Grenade Barrage.
- Mesmer: clones inherit all visual and audio effects of The Shining Blade when wielding in the main hand.
- Ranger: Throw Dirt (downed skill).
- Soulbeast: any projectile from Soulbeast pet skills such as Narcotic Spores.
- Revenant: Essence Sap (downed skill).
- Thief: Trail of Knives (downed skill) and projectiles acquired through Steal.
- Warrior: Impale and Throw Rock (downed skill).
- Weaver: Natural Frenzy and Shearing Edge.
- Sound
- Drawing/Stowing the weapon produces loud sounds of sliding and clanking metal parts.
