Malicious Death's Judgment

Stealth Attack. Reveal yourself and fire a powerful shot at your target that pierces but deals less damage to unmarked foes. If this attack hits your mark, it consumes all malice and deals increased damage for each malice consumed.

August 22, 2023 Secrets of the Obscure release:
  • Increased power coefficient from 1.65 to 2.67 in PvE and from 1.11 to 1.339 in PvP and WvW. Reduced damage bonus per malice to 10% in all game modes.

  • (Undocumented) This skill has been renamed from Death's Judgment to Malicious Death's Judgment.
November 29, 2022
  • This skill now pierces foes not targeted by Deadeye's Mark. Damage dealt to unmarked enemies is reduced. Players can now move while using this skill.
February 25, 2020 Competitive content update:
  • (Competitive split) Reduced power coefficient from 1.65 to 1.11.

  • This skill can now be blocked.

  • Increased the damage bonus per malice from 20% to 25% in PvE only.

  • This attack's initiative cost has been removed, and it has moved to become the stealth attack for rifles.
  • It is now unblockable and consumes all malice when the thief strikes their marked target.
  • Reduced the casting time by about 0.25 seconds.

  • Scaling per malice increased from 15% to 20% in PvE.

  • Reduced initiative cost of this skill from 6 to 5 in PvE only.

  • For the former rifle stealth attack prior to the May 8, 2018 game update, see Cursed Bullet.
  • This skill was named Death's Judgment until the August 23rd, 2023 update when it was renamed to Malicious Death's Judgment and its former name was given to a Thief stealth attack, usable with Weaponmaster Training.
