Nayos
Nayos, also called the Realm of Dreams,[1] is a realm in the Mists that the Kryptis live in. It is ruled by Eparch, the tyrannical Midnight King, who has organized the Kryptis into noble houses with rankings of lesser and higher Kryptis that serve his will. Under Eparch's orders, champions of Nayos have battled heroes from many Mist realms over the ages in their desire to consume and corrupt other worlds and their inhabitants to gain more power.[2]
Nayos is purportedly the original home of the mursaat,[3] before they were exiled to Tyria.[4]
Following the death of Eparch in the Kryptis civil war, Peitha has succeeded him as the new Midnight King of Nayos. |

Geography and climate[edit]
The climate of Nayos is generally murky, as Nayos has no sun. Thus, Nayosian flora has adapted to use the latent magic in the land instead.[5] The flora, similarly to the fauna, usually takes on fleshy and spiky appearance. Nayosian fauna is scarce, though it has adapted over milennia due to the realm's harsh conditions, becoming very dangerous—their claws and fangs got longer and sharper, carapaces became thicker and spiked in response. Nayos is also notably harder to navigate for non Kryptis due to its heavy air. [6] While Kryptis have no problem moving around these conditions, they can distinguish between Tyrian and Nayos climate. This fact is noted by Peitha several times.[7]
The geography of Nayos is chaotic with terrain difficult to navigate, as massive trees are sprawling around Kryptis settlements and encampments.
List of regions[edit]
These are labelled on the world map but are considered lore regions.
Heitor's Territory are the outskirts of Inner Nayos.
Nyedra Surrounds is the home to many Kryptis settlements, fortresses and important landmarks, such as the Coliseum of the Midnight King.
Zakiros is the innermost region of Inner Nayos and the seat of power of Kryptis. Zakiros is protected by malignant fog, making it unaccessible outside of certain events.
