Legendary Runes are upgrade components that, once socketed, have the power to take on the properties of any other superior rune. Legendary runes and sigils can be removed from equipment of any rarity without needing to use an Upgrade Extractor.

A maximum of 7 legendary runes can be added to an account's Legendary Armory, enough for all armor and aquatic headgear upgrade slots. Despite being a legendary item, they have no unique visual effects.

Notes

• It is possible to create more than 7 runes, which leads to nothing.
• Legendary runes work together with exotic superior runes of the same kind, e.g. two Legendary Runes of Melandru and four exotic Superior Runes of Melandru grant all six bonuses of the Superior Rune of Melandru.
• Unlike the superior runes they emulate, legendary runes require level 80 gear to equip instead of level 60.

• Legendary runes and sigils were officially announced on July 24, 2019, and added into the game on July 30, 2019.
