In a Grain of Sand is a collection achievement given by Ziya the Radiant, involving hunting for magical Corrupted Sand around the Crystal Desert.

Walkthrough

After accepting the collection from Ziya, travel to the associated zones listed below, mount up on your jackal, then use the Sand Compass gizmo to provide the Detect Corrupted Sand special action skill.

The mechanics of this skill are very similar to those experienced during the Transfer Chaser achievement. Upon using the skill, a colored marker, one for each target grain of corrupted sand, will appear around the character. Moving closer to the target will change the color of the orb from blue to yellow and finally to red, at which point an interact option to "recover" the sand will appear.

10	Somewhere in the Domain of Vabbi		Eastern Mihan Hillsides	Seborhin Waypoint —	Just above the "n" in Eastern on the world map.
11	Somewhere in the Domain of Vabbi		Forum Highlands	Necropolis Waypoint —	On the sand dune in the middle of the quicksand area, northeast of the waypoint.

Notes

• In order for Ziya the Radiant to be present in Sun's Refuge to acquire this collection from her, you will first have to complete the event chain which begins with Defend Ziya as she searches for Vemyen in Confluence of the Elements.
  • If your character has already completed the event, and Ziya the Radiant is already in Sun's Refuge, you can just talk to her to unlock the collection.
• In Elon Riverlands, if the event Use your mount to sniff out and defeat burrowed devourers is active, Smell Danger will override Detect Corrupted Sand and you will not be able to use the Sand Compass. You can wait for the event to finish or you can move out of range of the event and use the Sand Compass and Detect Corrupted Sand to reveal the Corrupted Sand, which will appear as a pulsing small yellow orb.
