"In Tyria long ago, in the verdant land of Ascalon, lived a fair lady of great magical power. She was both the jewel and the shadow of the kingdom, only spoken of in legends and stories. Noone remember for how long she had been there - she seemed to be always young and never aging - and her existence was shrouded in mystery, but one thing was sure : be it in fight or beauty, she was said to be undefeated.

After the Searing and all the disasters that followed, the fair lady disappeared, and with her both the magic of Ascalon and the secret of her power.

Now in the ruins and ashes of Ascalon, even with the land scorched from all the fire of these days, something makes plants and trees grow strong and green again. Rumors say that the fair lady is still alive, somewhere, her magic running through the earth, slowly returning the land to its former beauty. Some say she was reincarnated. Other say her body encased in crystal is still somewhere underground, infusing the earth around. But one rumor seems to be stronger than the others : those who came close to the old Foible's Fair in Wizard's Folly speak of whispers in the winds, the trees and the mountains, some of which were said to be strong enough to become one mysterious sentence.

Never forget, young one. In the end the victory will go to the one with the strongest flame."
