Interactive map

Spirit Vestibule is a point of interest within Zen Daijun in Seitung Province. It marks the beginning of the Spirit Vestibule mini-dungeon in the fog around Point of interest (map icon).png Zen Daijun Temple.

Getting there[edit]

From Waypoint (map icon).png Village Waypoint, head north-east out of the village, and follow the road south then east through the hills. Alternatively, you may take a Raptor Taxi to Zen Daijun, starting just west of the waypoint. The taxi will drop you off just north of the archway.

Walkthrough[edit]

Mechanics[edit]

To complete the mini-dungeon, you must kill three champions located in arenas around the maze. Each champion has a colored Resonance buff, either red, green or blue. You cannot damage them until you collect the matching buff from totems found throughout the maze. The totems will spawn randomly throughout the maze, one for each color. The champions, and their related buffs, may be collected in any order.

While inside the maze, you will take constant damage from Darkness.png Encroaching Darkness. Its damage is minor at first, but scales up over time, eventually downing you. As soon as you are downed while under this effect, you will be teleported back to the start of the maze, and restored to full health. To avoid being downed, you must regularly take breaks at the lanterns throughout the maze, which grant Lantern Light.png Lantern Light, healing you and protecting you from the darkness while you are in their AoE.

Navigating the maze is further complicated by small orange AoEs which will appear on the ground as you move around. Avoid these at all costs: after a short delay, they will inflict Mordrem Shackles.png Grasping Darkness and Stun.png Stun you for 5 seconds. Not only does this slow your navigation of the maze, if you're already low on health you will probably go down due to Darkness.png Encroaching Darkness. They can be dodged or blocked, or you may use stun breaks to escape if you are caught in one.

Champions[edit]

The entrance to each champion's arena is blocked by vines, which will withdraw as you approach, allowing you in. Darkness.png Encroaching Darkness is not applied within the arenas, meaning you can safely focus on the fight. In the initial state of the mini-dungeon, the champions have not yet spawned. Instead, you must interact with the spirit orb in the center of their arena, and select the option to start the encounter. This will begin Event star (tango icon).png [Group Event] Defeat the spirit champion (80) for the relevant champion.

The three champions, the buff required to damage them, and their locations, are:

Spirit of the Ritualist
  • Requires Crystalline Coating (red).png Red Resonance to damage.
  • Located on the north edge of the maze.
  • All of his attacks inflict three stacks of Vulnerability.png Vulnerability each, resulting in a consistent 12-15 stacks on a single player if he focuses on them.
    • To mitigate the high damage pressure from this champion, consider bringing condition removal skills.
Spirit of the Berserker
  • Requires Crystalline Coating (green).png Green Resonance to damage.
  • Located on the east edge of the maze.
  • All his attacks are high damaging melee range.
Spirit of the Illusionist
  • Requires Crystalline Coating (blue).png Blue Resonance to damage.
  • Located on the southwest edge of the maze.
  • Attacks with projectiles and AoE spam.

Once you defeat a champion, you will lose the related Resonance buff, as you no longer need it.

Finishing the mini-dungeon[edit]

Once all three champions have been killed, a beacon of white light will appear both at your location and the entrance to the minidungeon, and the message "You have proven yourself worthy. Touch the light to claim your prize." will briefly display on your screen. Interact with the beacon to be teleported to the loot room, hidden directly below Point of interest (map icon).png Zen Daijun Temple. Three Magnificent Chests are found there, granting a good amount of Ancient Coin.pngAncient Coins and Jade Runestone.pngJade Runestones, amongst other loot.

As soon as you complete the mini-dungeon, you will receive two effects:

  • Complete Resonance.png Complete Resonance - Grants you access to the loot room.
  • Lethal Coalescence (Cold War).png Puzzle Helper - Lets you damage the bosses without having to reacquire the Resonance buff. This means you can help other players complete the maze.

These effects are effectively account bound: they will be applied to any character you take into the maze, even ones you didn't complete the maze on. The effects will be removed at daily reset.

To exit the loot room, interact with the exit portal in the southwest corner of the room, where you came in. This will teleport you back to the start of the maze.

Tips[edit]

  • The champions will not heal when out of combat. This means that if you're defeated, you may waypoint and run back, without losing any progress.
  • The Resonance effects will stay even if you leave the area or change maps. They will disappear when you leave the maze, but as soon as you reenter, they will be reapplied.
  • Like Complete Resonance.png Complete Resonance and Lethal Coalescence (Cold War).png Puzzle Helper, the Resonance effects are shared across all your characters. That means you can swap characters part-way through completing the maze, and not have to redo the steps you already completed.
  • If you complete the mini-dungeon and miss your initial beacon, a new one will appear when you re-enter the maze from the Spirit Vestibule, just west of the archway.
  • As well as the final chests, Chests can be found throughout the maze, awarding a small amount of loot each.

Trivia[edit]

  • The loot room appears to be an abandoned Purist hideout: Purist masks are scattered on the tables, and the banners also resemble Purist masks.
