Mechanics

• This skill grants  Riposte.
• On counter, creates a clone while dealing damage. The counter-damage and clone creation happen until 900 range.
• The block is always canceled after 1 hit, then the evade frame starts after.
• The clone created depends on the main-hand weapon slot.
• The skill can be invoked again before the block timer has finished, which will end the block and cast Counter Blade.

Anomaly:

If the source of the attack blocked is different from your currently selected target, the counter-damage and clone creation will sometimes happen on your current target instead of the source that actually hit you.

• Malicious Sorcery — Confusion you inflict has increased duration. When you dodge an attack, inflict confusion on your attacker.

Chronomancer

• Time Catches Up — Activating a Shatter gives your illusions superspeed. Shatters deal increased damage to movement-impaired foes.

Virtuoso

• Duelist's Reversal — Blocking or dodging an attack grants boons.
• Psychic Riposte — Blocking or evading an attack stocks blades. Dodging stocks a blade and causes your next Bladesong to be unblockable.

March 27, 2018	Fixed a bug that prevented Counter Blade from activating under certain circumstances. Increased the cooldown from 12 seconds to 15 seconds in PvP and WvW.
February 22, 2017	This skill now evades attacks during the counterattack animation.
April 19, 2016	Reduced the cooldown of this skill from 15 seconds to 12 seconds. The attack activation time has been reduced by 0.4 seconds. The aftercast delay has been reduced by 1 second.
August 25, 2015	Fixed a bug that caused this skill to fail to summon a clone while the player had a scepter equipped as their main-hand weapon.
May 20, 2014	Changed the blocking skill fact and the buff gained while blocking to display the correct duration.
February 26, 2013	The reactionary strike that occurs when this skill blocks an attack now has the correct distance of the ability instead of half the distance. Added a ranged fact to this skill.
