Ambient dialogue[edit]
- Ministry of Security Watch: It's SO unfair. I never get a turn on that.
- Ministry of Security Watch: Get off that zip line, now!
- Worker (1): So, how'd you get that big ol' scar of yours, old-timer?
- Supervisor: By not wearing PPE.
- Supervisor: The number one rule of mining and salvaging: always wear PPE.
- Worker (1): PPE? What's that stand for?
- Supervisor: Personal protective equipment.
- Supervisor: Hey, kid, word of advice: watch out for the naga. They've been lurkin' about as of late.
- Supervisor: Can't be trusted.
- Worker (1): But isn't this their territory we're mining on top of? They're probably pissed about that.
- Worker (1): I know I would be.
- Supervisor: Hmph. Don't be a serpent sympathizer, kid.
- Worker (1): So what exactly is this big tower for, anyway?
- Supervisor: Oh, this? This is where we hide all the dead bodies...
- Worker (1): Wh-What?
- Supervisor: I'm just yankin' yer chain. It's for storing and processing jade.
- Dock Worker (1): I heard the miners accidentally dug too deep and flooded the basin. Abandoned all their work.
- Dock Worker (2): Damn...
- Xunlai Jade Security: This area is off limits until further notice.
- Xunlai Jade Security: The miners who were digging here, geniuses that they were, woke up a goddamn Jade Maw.
- Xunlai Jade Security: I do NOT get paid enough to deal with this crap.
- By the Argo Crawler
- Laborer (1): We own and control machines. Not the other way around.
- Laborer (1): As long as we remember that, I don't think there's anything wrong with embracing new tech.
- Laborer (2): Ugh... I suppose.
- Laborer (3): I'm just as good—if not better—as some soulless machine.
- Laborer (4): I mean...mining's a pretty dangerous job, friend. This "soulless machine" minimizes casualties.
- Laborer (5): Gods[sic] I hate this damn thing. It's stealing work from living, breathing people.
- Worker (2): Wow. Look at the size of that thing!
- Worker (3): Technology sure has come a long way.
- Jade Quarry Salvager: It's so deep, but full of treasure!
