Dialogue[edit]
- Event start
- Head Researcher Levvi: I told Magnus something like this would happen. There's stubborn and there's stupid, but like most norn, Magnus is both.
- Head Researcher Levvi: He can dismiss my research with bluster and insults, but that won't work on a sea monster that's eating his city, now will it?
- Research Assistant Bardus: Understood. The Lionguard are out in force. I'll bet I can get a few of them to assist me.
- Head Researcher Levvi: Heh. That'll put a tangle in Magnus' mustache: us solving his problem with his troops. I approve. Carry on!
- Head Researcher Levvi: Well, Magnus. I hate saying I told you so... Actually I love saying it to you, just not this time. Anyway: I told you so!
- Magnus the Bloody-Handed: Do you have anything constructive to say or are you just going to stand there spewing bilge water?
- Head Researcher Levvi: Well, based on its shell, I've named the creature Levvi's Leviathanus Carcinus, and...
- Magnus the Bloody-Handed: Fine. Inspector Kiel! Work with this asura to find out what has these "karka" creatures so riled up and put a stop to it. Permanently.
- Inspector Ellen Kiel: Aye, Captain Magnus, sir! Any idea where I should start looking?
- Magnus the Bloody-Handed: Look around, Inspector. Pick a shell and start kicking. The Lionguard is at your disposal. I have to go explain all this to the Ship's Council.
- Head Researcher Levvi: Time to earn your pay, people. I need you in the field, finding out more about these creatures.
- Research Assistant Bardus: Wait, what do you want us to be doing? Should we fight the creatures, or collect samples, or...
- Head Researcher Levvi: Do what you can for the locals, but I need carapace and egg samples from these "karka" for study.
- Head Researcher Levvi: I'll be here, working on a way to fight them. Now get moving, or there won't be a city to come back to.
- When Bardus reaches Fort Marriner
- Lionguard: The city's being overrun. We've got to get everyone out.
- Research Assistant Bardus: Lion's Arch isn't lost yet. My boss, Levvi, is studying these "karka" creatures for a way to defeat them.
- Research Assistant Bardus: We just need samples to work with. The more we have, the quicker we'll figure out how to stop these things.
- Lionguard: All right. I'm going to start moving civilians out of harm's way. I'll also muster up some volunteers to help you.
- Upon filling collection bar
- Research Assistant Bardus: I don't have much time. I'll take whatever you have.
Notes[edit]
- Veteran Karka Egg Layers had over them during this event.
- The karka would attack and defeat NPCs in Lion's Arch, but they would either be non-responsive or simply /cower.
- This event rewarded you as if the event was the same level as your character. See this page for a full list.
- Due to being part of a server event in a small area located in Lion's Arch, players experienced massive lag issues.
