Yep, when I first created a wiki account, I used "Titan Crow" but then forgot the password and which email I had used so had to create another, "Tytan Crow". I since have gained access to them both. The link used to send you to Titan Crow which redirected you to Tytan Crow but I changed it so it just sent you straight to Tytan Crow in stead.

I SO Can't Believe Companions Have Been Scrapped[edit]

This was the one single thing that I was most looking forward to! The whole motto/ethos for GW1 was "You Never Fight Alone" and by making it a Solo or Party system they absolutly changed the whole GW gameplay system. I know that actual moto was for the Sunspears introduced in Night Fall, the last campaign released but it summed up all the GW1 campaigns in one sentence.

I'm so amazingly dissapointed, Its going to be like Aion in terms of Solo/Party gameplay, just you on your lonesome or you with a party. And with the loss of second professions, theres not even a chance of useing a ranger as secondary to get a pet. Man, Im so gutted!!! Titan Crow 19:00 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Exactly, There was so much potential with the companion system. I wonder if anyone's started a "We want Conpanions" or "Bring back Companions" petition or anything. Theres got to be thousands of people who will be dissapointed by this.

Oooh ok, thanks! ^^ Yeah, I was just worried since others in the past have spammed complaints (I suppose to try to get more people to see them?) and it ended up causing problems with people who review the Recent Changes. :D So I just wasn't sure. ^^ I DO agree with you missing Companions; I do too, but there ARE lots of redeeming qualities to GW2, and maybe they'll add companions in an expansion? ^^ I hope whatever they do they'll have SOME sort of "helper"/"henchman" eventually (preferably one we can customize hehe). --Aman nelle

Keep the Companion System Userboxes[edit]

I was messing around with some userboxes with a "Keep the Companion System" theme for anyone that might also want to see it make it to the game.

This User strongly feels that Companions should be kept.

I don't want to be negative Titan, but there's really 0% chance that they'll bring back that system. As you said it yourself - Probably more chance of being killed by a falling coconut (and I would like to add) in Siberia. Yea, I know : (. I suppose what I was really hoping for was, if they saw that there were enough people still very keen on having a Companion/Pet/NPC Ally of some kind then they might be more likely give one, in whatever form, to each Race.

I do think that this will be an amazing game, no misstake. It's only that I think that they may be taking it a step too far away from the original game by removing all forms or NPC Allies (pets, heroes, henchmen and summons). You know what I mean?!

Yeah, I've also thought about that. From what I've understood, people will be able to solo practically anything without the help of any NPCs. There will of course be lots of real players there to help, but sometimes you just want to have real NPCs with you, cause they're frankly better than real players sometimes. Yep, thats it Exactly! Sometimes you just need a 100% reliable, commandable and/or predictable ally. Something that won't ask "Why" or won't mind dying repeatedly as cannon fodder or being used as bait or that can be commanded by us in an instant instead of having to write the commands through chat.... etc. The reasons are numerous.

I would also like to think that they know their game enough to know what to keep and what to drop but still keep it loyal to the original game but we'll just have to wait and see if they get it right.

Indeed lol. Right, so here's another Userbox that doesn't suggest bringing back the Companion System but still says that we want Pets/NPC Allies etc.

This User says "Give each Race some form of NPC Ally"

Now that one's not quite so unreasonable or unrealistic. lol :P So if you or anyone thinks some kind of NPC Ally sould replace the Conpanion System then feel free to use and/or edit the Userbox. Titan Crow 15:02, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Really, I don't see any point to these. :P They didn't drop the companion system just because they wanted to or felt like doing it on a whim, there are actual REASONS they had to do this to keep the game more balanced and make it operate more smoothly (instead of being overloaded). :P You're acting as though this is something that you can just say "yes please" and they'll do it, but really I don't think it's like that. :( sorry --98.19.145.17 17:05, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

I know there'll be parcital reasons why they dropped it, like maybe it would be too difficult to implement the whole buff thing when the Companion was absent or maybe they thought that it would over-crowd the server if everyone took their Companion out at the same time. Who knows why they dropped it.

I also know that they can't "just" put it back in, but thats not what I want. Well, actually, in the perfect world, I'd love them to put the Companion System back in, exactly like they said it would be but I know thats near impossible. What I DO want though is that every Race has a Pet or NPC Ally of some kind. Like the "Animal Companion" that Rangers from GW1 had. Also, even though in GW1, with the option of a second profession, everyone had the option to have a pet even if they weren't pimarily a Ranger, but not that many people took one. And although everyone had the option of using Heroes and Henchmen, not everyone used them either. If there were a Companion System of ANY kind, its just one of those things that not everyone would use. The Point I am making is that if they see enough player intrest in NPC Allies, then they might decide to keep them in some form or other. That is of corse, if they do not already have some unannounced plans for an Ally system, like Hounds of Balthazar for the Race of Men and equivalent skills for the other Races.

Elementalist tango icon[edit]

Hello. On your userpage you have/had and old image of the GW1 ele tango icon. New icons have been uploaded, but under different names. I was unsure if you wanted the GW1 icon still, or wanted to change it to the GW2 icon. The new GW2 icon is here and the old GW1 icon can be located here. Cheers! Hey Titan - I would love to do race icons. I am trying to match the icons to those being used for the game - but for the races I have no idea what colours are associated with them in game or what the icon (if any) is associated with the race. We might have to wait for the game or something more about the racial skills before any can be started. -- aspectacle

Done. And that talk-page-notification is how most veteran wiki users handle being contacted from the wiki. Also, if you enter your email address in your preferences and verify it, then any other user with a verified email address can send you an email through the Special:EmailUser form. Thankyou Guild Wars for my family.[edit]

This is all on my GW Wiki user page but thought I'd put a quick line about it here too.

I played GW since shortly after its release and met my missus there. After meeting her in the game, I met her and her daughter in real life and have been together since. A few days ago, we had our forth child together. So, now thanks to GW, we are a family of seven. Me, the missus and our five girls.
