Can I stay logged in longer? Is it possible to remove my ip from recent changes/history page? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kvothe (talk • contribs).
- You should be able to stay logged in indefinitely by checking the "Keep me logged in" box on the login page. If that isn't working for you, please bring it up on the technical administration talk page. I can hide your IP from the history of the two articles you edited by accident in the meantime. - Felix Omni 13:31, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
Images
- Yesterday I uploaded a new version of . I still get shown the old version everywhere. When I try to reupload again the wiki tells me it is already the same file. My question is now, how do I fix this problem (guess it is on my end)?
- Also how can I delete (or flag for deletion) the png version of .
—Kvothe (talk) 12:54, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
- Either hit the Refresh button on the top, make a null edit (clicking Edit and Save changes afterwards without editing anything, note that you won't show up in history) or add
?action=purge
to the address line and press Enter. See also Mediawiki Manual: Purge. Use Ctrl + F5 to clean your browser cache. - Well, you already answered your question. The template is Template:Delete:
{{delete|<Reason>|speedy}}

- I had the same problem. They told me to click on the clock and clear the cache of the page. Sadly that didnt helped me at all. I cleard the browser cache as well as middle memory(if its called in english that way) of my Pc. Nothing helped but after a while, 2 weeks later or so, everything fixed itself. --DiegoDeLaHouska (talk) 13:51, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
Page moves
I have recently moved the page "Stone Face" to "Cliff Face" (and the images) and with the tool "What links here" redone all the links. The redirect should not be necessary anymore. Should I flag "Stone Face" with delete template or are redirects with no uses automatically deleted? —Kvothe (talk) 13:05, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
Salvage of unique items
So I bought 5 of fine and 5 of exotic versions. Both versions will drop you 1-3 Copper Ores and their upgrade they have. But the Exotic has chance to drop you 0-2 Globs of Excoplasm. What is now better ? Write it down to every single item ? Or make a template in wich you would have a list of those items ? Where you could always add more of the items wich would show up ? But because I never did any templates that I will leave the decision on you. If its better to write it down toall the items just say so and I will write it to all of them. (tested on fine version of Inquest simbo and exotic version of Eternal Ice) --DiegoDeLaHouska (talk) 16:49, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
Executioner Axe Toy
Hey, I'm a bit confused about this edit — as far as I know the toy was never sold separately in the Gem Store and is only available via buying the Executioner's Outfit (container). Where did you find this information? :o talk 18:03, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- You are completely right. Sorry. Wanted to change to page to use the template ant thought the item was missing in the gem store. Derp. Fixed to use "contained in". —Kvothe (talk) 18:20, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- Ah, no worries! Thanks for clearing this up. :) talk 18:32, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
Nailed it
Per your edit summary on this edit - you nailed it, I don't think we put the service suffix on NPC page titles. I've fleshed it out with a screenshot, coordinates and a lead sentence and updated the infobox to accept "Dragon Arena" - looks good to me! -Chieftain Alex 23:16, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for your feedback and the touch up of the article, Alex. Good point that it is a service suffix, I will keep that in mind. Thanks! —Kvothe (talk) 23:30, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
- About the services, we omit them if it's a generic kind (merchant, repairs, etc.), but special ones, such as Halstein, deserve a value in the
name =
parameter. —Ventriloquist 14:18, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

- Thank you for your work so far! Really, formatting is one of the less impactful things on the wiki, so no worries if you don't follow it exactly :) —Ventriloquist 15:07, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
- Image moved.
- You can link to files without showing them by putting a colon before them, e.g. File:Dragon Bash Hologram Projector.png. -Chieftain Alex 16:56, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
Skritts
I mean, a single skritt is hardly known for their intelligence and surely can't be trusted to set grammatical precedents, and, and...
I asked for a fight and got KO'd in one hit, well done :( —Idris 18:31, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Skritt is also used as a plural, see Skritt King#Dialogue. --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 18:52, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- While I do feel that "skritt" is the correct plural and the "skritts" quote was intended to showcase how dumb skritt are, I don't think it actually matters; it's only a project page. I just genuinely thought "skritts" was a typo so I made a joke edit summary because I wasn't expecting there to be any argument! —Idris 19:30, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Lol! It's a good job I took your revert seriously; if I'd realised you were kidding too I would have gotten way too into it and probably ended up getting us both in trouble. :p —Idris 19:43, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
Adventure map
The adventure infobox doesn't take the "map1=" parameter like other infoboxes; instead, it automatically displays any image titled "<adventure name> map.jpg". I've renamed the Pavilion map for you. :) —Idris 10:29, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
Thank you, then it needs to be moved to File:Time Trial: Pavilion Pursuit map.jpg, because we can work around on the race event page with map1. —Kvothe (talk) 10:34, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oof, don't thanks me yet, it turns out I got confused about which infobox does what -- this one DOES actually accept a map parameter, but it's called "map" and not "map1", and it's still not working anyway, for reasons I haven't figured out yet. The wiki doesn't accept file names with the colon character in them, which is why we can't rename it to that. —Idris 10:40, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
- BuffsEverywhere figured it out -- there was an error in the code for the adventure infobox. It's working now. Thanks Buff, and sorry Kvothe! —Idris 10:47, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you both!
- I changed Adventure Infobox from map to map1 (and added map2 to map5 as well). I think every template uses screenshot only. --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 11:37, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
Endless Ocean weapons icons
I saw you added some icons for Endless Ocean weapons before, I really appreciate it. I'm done, you can add all the other icons or maybe a list of vendors. I'm a little new with wiki. ThomasStarr (talk) 12:32, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
Nourishment effects
Hey Kvothe. If you want to add ids to the nourishments, you're welcome to take them from my own pages, User:Tyndel/Nourishment, and User:Tyndel/Nourishment2. Just check the source page for the numbers. Should contain all ids up to about the end of 2017. It's a lot of busy work so I'm not very keen on doing it myself :P Tyndel (talk) 22:02, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
- I can add those to most pages using a bot. -Chieftain Alex 06:12, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
Dry Top events
I'm going to gently disagree with this edit - in many cases its better to repeat information for the casual readership even if it seems redundant to us. That being said, it belongs in an external links section. -Chieftain Alex 18:17, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
Clarification
Hi - I'm unsure what you mean by "Isn't this the exact stance you don't want to see on the wiki" in this edit. Would you please clarify? Thanks. horrible | contribs 11:45, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
