Precinct Captain Cho Min[1] is an officer working for the Ministry of Security in New Kaineng City. She is a childhood friend of Detective Rama.
Following the arrest of Minister Li Ha-Eung after he revealed himself to be one of the leaders of the Purists plotting against Empress Ihn, Min is appointed as the Acting Minister of Security until Li's proper successor will be named.[2] |
Biography[edit]
Early years[edit]
Cho Min[1] and Detective Rama were childhood friends, growing up together at the poor district of Grub Lane in Cantha. They had a secret knock which only the two of them knew, allowing them to visit one another. Min eventually joined the ranks of the Ministry of Security and became the Captain of the East Precinct who would oversee the safety of the citizens of New Kaineng City. She tried to invite Rama over for sushi at Nika's Blade, but Rama refused the offers time and time again.[3]
End of Dragons[edit]
Act IV[edit]
A jade bot remotely controlled by Min arrived to assist Rama and the Pact Commander in the rooftop battle against Minister Li Ha-Eung and his elite task force. She informed the pair that her investigations had revealed Li to be none other than the infamous and elusive White Falcon, one of the leaders of the Purists, who had been plotting against the Canthan throne all this time. Min's assistance proved to be invaluable to turn the tide of battle, allowing the Commander and Rama to survive Li's trap and capture him and his henchmen alive for questioning.
Act V[edit]
- The Battle for the Jade Sea
Min joined the ranks of the allied army consisting of Tyrians, Elonians and Canthans that faced the invading Void horde and the corrupted Elder Dragon Soo-Won in a climactic battle around the Harvest Temple in Dragon's End. The army triumphed against Soo-Won although their joy was shortlived as they witnessed the forming of the Dragonvoid, an amalgamation of all the Elder Dragons, from the magic extracted from the defeated Soo-Won.
With its newfound power as an emerging entity, the Dragonvoid was finally able to unleash its minions beyond the borders of the Jade Sea into the rest of the world of Tyria in an attempt to usher in an apocalypse, and the allied forces did their best to combat the increasing number of Void creatures around the Harvest Temple while the Commander's core team and the Elder Dragon Aurene battled the Dragonvoid in its various forms directly. Ultimately the Dragonvoid was defeated thanks to Yu Joon's extractors and Aurene's magic weakening it, and the allied army celebrated as the Void horde dispersed along with the amalgamated entity. However, that celebration was marked with sadness as the exhausted Soo-Won passed away soon after as her magic was consumed by Aurene who became the One Elder Dragon to balance all the magic in the world.
Min later participated in the celebration of the Elder Dragon Aurene and the allied army's victory over the Void in Arborstone. She and Rama informed the Commander that Min had been appointed as the Acting Minister of Security until a proper successor would be named for the now incarcerated Minister Li.[2] After explaining that he needed a break from the ministry following the arrest of his mentor figure Li and how he would likely travel the world with fellow detectives Marjory Delaqua and Gorrik for a while, Rama tried to express his romantic feelings for Min but was unable to utter the right words as he was too nervous. The amused Min guessed what Rama was trying to say and invited him over to her apartment with their shared secret knock once he had gathered enough courage to approach her again the next time he visited the city.[4]
Some time after the celebration, Empress Ihn began planning her first trip abroad to visit Queen Jennah in Divinity's Reach in Kryta. According to Mi-Rae's holonews report, Ihn would be accompanied by Krytan Ambassador Kasmeer Meade and Min.[5]
Months after the Void incident and after having experienced harrowing events while solving the jade crisis in Gyala Delve, Rama gathered enough courage to attempt to pursue a romantic relationship with Min. To make their date less stressful, he invited Gorrik, Taimi, the Commander and the latter's chosen date to join him and Min for an outing at the Red Duck Tea House. Despite the occasional awkward topics of conversation and shyness almost overcoming Rama again, the Commander managed to lighten the mood just enough to allow Rama to steer the date in the right direction and give Min a good time. Min was receptive to another date with Rama whenever her paperwork would allow for it, even suggesting that next time the date should only involve just the two of them.[6]
