The vista appears to require a jump to a narrow vertical piece of wood over a long fall, but if you walk along the higher branch beside it you'll hit a space where you can interact. If you can't find it try inching towards it on the thick bend in the branch.

Ambient dialogue[edit]

At Jaka Itzel
Itzel Bladedancer: Kaana, we lack the weapons to withstand another attack.
Kaana Miatli: Gather a party to search the dead for weapons.
Itzel Bladedancer: At once, Kaana.
Itzel Shadowleaper: Kaana, last night's assault wiped out our food stores.
Kaana Miatli: Form a gathering party to search the trees for grubs. My village will not go hungry.
Itzel Shadowleaper: Yes, Kaana.
Itzel Bladedancer: Copuul, why does the jungle attack us? What did we do wrong?
High Priest Copuul: It's not a question of wrong, child. The jungle provides, does it not?
Itzel Bladedancer: Yes. Food, water, light, warmth.
High Priest Copuul: The jungle doesn't provide these things for free. We must earn them.
Itzel Bladedancer: But why does the jungle want to harm us now?
High Priest Copuul: That is something the jungle challenges us to discover.
Kaana Miatli: You, go into the jungle. Learn why our home turns against us.
Kaana Miatli: Return before the sun sets. When night falls, we will need every spear.
Itzel Shadowleaper: Yes, Kaana.
Itzel Shadowleaper: Kaana, I tried to look for food but can't find enough for the village.
Itzel Bladedancer: I couldn't gather enough weapons alone.
Kaana Miatli: Both of you stock up on food and continue your search. The jungle provides.
Itzel Bladedancer: At once, Kaana.
Itzel Shadowleaper: Yes, Kaana.
Nuhoch Stomper (1): Utogi, why haven't you returned?
Nuhoch Stomper (2): We need you. Monsters stalk our village. We could use your insight in stopping them.
Lore Seeker Utogi: If you want our people to survive, leave me be. Let me learn here with the Itzel.
Nuhoch Stomper (1): Fine! We'll tell everyone back home that you're busy playing with your new friends.
Lore Seeker Utogi: I came here because I'd learned all I could at home.
Lore Seeker Utogi: Our survival may depend on this knowledge.
Nuhoch Stomper (1): (sigh) He won't listen.
Nuhoch Stomper (2): How can you do this, Utogi? I've spoken up for you before, but now–
Lore Seeker Utogi: You're frustrated and you don't understand. You forget the trials of your ancestors, who came west to find a new home.
Lore Seeker Utogi: The search for a home where they could live and believe how they wished might have killed them, if not for the Itzel.
Nuhoch Stomper (1): So you bow and lick at their feet while we fight the jungle?
Lore Seeker Utogi: Look around you. The Itzel battle the jungle, too. They also carry the age-old secrets of their home.
Lore Seeker Utogi: The choice is yours. Stay and learn, or return with ignorance.
Kaana Miatli: There's fighting in the temple!
High Priest Copuul: Kaana, this is worse than I thought. The sun worshipers are turning our own against us.
High Priest Copuul: They're trying to force us to accept their "light".
Kaana Miatli: That will never happen. These outsiders make us fight our own kin. I will make them suffer.
Kaana Miatli: Has Utogi returned?
High Priest Copuul: No, and I fear for what he may be doing on our behalf.
Kaana Miatli: Welcome back.
Kaana Miatli: It's good to see you again.
Lore Seeker Utogi: Thank you, Kaana.
High Priest Copuul: The sky is clear, the beast is dead. Praise Ameyalli.
Lore Seeker Utogi: As I planned.
High Priest Copuul: The village is at peace, and our larders are full. Ameyalli gives us her blessing.
Kaana Miatli: Then we use this blessing to prepare. Night always comes. Our strength must be ready to fight it.
Itzel Villager (1): Did you make it to the top of the vine? What did you see?
Itzel Villager (2): More vines and fire. The smell on the breeze is burning wood and rotting meat.
Vigil Crusader: A true warrior needs a weapon for every day of the week.
Vigil Recruit: Wow. That's quality armor.
Vigil Crusader: Why, thank you.
Itzel Scout: You're not Mordrem. Can you help us?
Kaana Miatli Night is coming. You know what to do.
If the commander is a sylvari:
Itzel Villager: Welcome, Commander. Some still think your kind are Mordrem, but I say you are living living proof of Ameyalli's benevolence.
<Character name>: Thank you. My people are also guided and protected by a benevolent mother. I hope you can meet her someday.
Otherwise:
Itzel Villager: Greetings, Commander. I hope our scouts have been as helpful to you as you were to us.
<Character name>: Absolutely. I'm proud to have the Jaka Itzel as my allies. We'll do great things together.
During Night and the Enemy
Itzel Villager: The sun is setting! get ready!
High Priest Copuul: Seek shelter and arm yourselves!
Itzel Villager: No more play! The night is here!
Itzel Villager: Watch the tress!
Kaana Miatli: They attack us at night.
High Priest Copuul: We were weak. Unprepared. They overran our village.
<Character name>: Don't lose hope. Help is here.
Kaana Miatli The jungle, Ameyalli, blesses you.
Zintl members outside the village when Itzel are hunting for food
Follower of Zintl: The jungle may fail you, but the sun god provides. Help yourself.
Follower of Zintl: You look so hungry. Please, take some of our eggs. Grow strong in the sun!
Follower of Zintl: We hate to see you starving.
At the entrance to the Forsaken Thicket
Whispers Keeper: Our platoon was ambushed. Half of us are either dead or missing. Please, we need your help!
Whispers Keeper: They came out of nowhere and killed without mercy. Now they've got our soldiers. We have to get them back!
Whispers Keeper: Slaughtered in the blink of an eye. Who will avenge the fallen?
Whispers Keeper: Pack your gear and get ready to fight!
Whispers Keeper: We have to act now, or they're all going to die!
