Lowland Shore[edit]

First step
Hello, Commander. What can this humble archivist help you with?
Talk collection option.png I'm here to investigate the falling star.
Splendid, I've been waiting for help. I've been working to triangulate the meteor's location and have narrowed it to this region.
Talk more option tango.png How can I help?
As our premier diplomatic envoy in the region, I'd like you to interview local kodan scouts. Based on their information, if you can find the "fallen star," then please follow the lead immediately.
Talk collection option.png All right, I'll find out what the scouts have seen.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Subsequent interactions
Hello, Commander. What can this humble archivist help you with?
Talk collection option.png I found the meteor embedded in the seafloor, but I couldn't pull it free. (After finding the Unknown Object)
The rock is melted around it? And the meteor still retained its shape...how fascinating. Well then, we simply need to reheat it to a high enough temperature to loosen its bonds.
Talk more option tango.png I take it you have some magical relic for that?
Unleashing one treasure to secure another would have us running in circles. For this, we can rely on allies of the ward to make us a new tool.
Talk more option tango.png What do you have in mind?
I'll arrange an introduction with Morgaah Bloodseeker, the master armorer of the Black Citadel. He's not one of us, but an ally we can work with—his mastery of heat is what we'll need.
Talk more option tango.png All right, I'll pay him a visit.
Splendid. Tell him it's about "the meteor-iron order." I expect he'll need some odds and ends as power sources; while you're there, I'll return to the tower and pick up a few small things.
Talk collection option.png Got it. I'll see you later then.
Talk collection option.png I have the meteor spear! (After obtaining the Falling Star)
Magnificently done. I see no need to seal that artifact in the vault; I'll make note of its characteristics for Vivienne's bookkeeping, and you can put it to use in your main line of work.
Talk collection option.png I'll make sure it's safe. Thanks for the help.
Talk more option tango.png So, you're a member of the Wizard's Vault?
The Astral Ward, really—tending the vault is simply a role within it. But yes, I'm focused on investigation and recovery. To maintain a low profile, that happens through cooperators like yourself.
Talk back option tango.png I don't mind a bit of collaboration on treasure hunting.
Talk more option tango.png Can I really keep what I recover on this investigation?
As long as it's not too dangerous, according to the grand archivist. The vault isn't just about hoarding relics—we also put them in the right hands at the right time.
Talk back option tango.png I'm lucky to be on your good side, then.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.

Mists Vault[edit]

Commander, how nice to see you. Welcome to the Mists Vault, the innermost—or perhaps outermost—storage of the Wizard's Vault.
Talk more option tango.png Could you tell me more about where we are?
Most treasures that the Wizard's Vault safeguards are held within the tower. For those with a certain prominence, danger, or conceptual risk, the wizards devised this alternative, tucked in the Mists.
Talk more option tango.png So this is like a fractal?
Very astute. Yes, it's much the same as a simulated fractal. However, we're not recreating anything—simply maintaining a small pocket of order amidst chaos. It's an elegantly secure method.
Talk back option tango.png Interesting. I have another question.
Certainly. What else would you like to talk about?
Talk more option tango.png Could you tell me more about where we are?
Talk more option tango.png Is this place more secure than the Wizard's Tower?
Talk more option tango.png I'm surprised to see you out of the field.
Talk end option tango.png That's all for now, thank you.
Talk end option tango.png Well, if there's no rifts, it's safer than Tyria.
Talk more option tango.png Is this place more secure than the Wizard's Tower?
In its way. The roads in are tightly defined, which makes intrusion all but impossible. And if it were to come to it, simply releasing the ongoing sorceries of this location would bring it to an end.
Talk more option tango.png An end?
Without spells, observation, and fuel, such a small space can't stay established. It would quickly dissolve into a ripple in the Mists, taking all dangerous artifacts—and potential intruders—with it.
Talk back option tango.png Interesting. I have another question.
Talk end option tango.png That's quite the active defense.
Talk more option tango.png I'm surprised to see you out of the field.
I can't be out and about all the time. This spot is quite relaxing... Call it a perk of the job.
Talk collection option.png I agree. I'm on business, but can I drop in occasionally?
Normally, no. But as a legendary defender of the tower, you're already on the guest list. Here... A passkey spell, courtesy of the wizards themselves.
Talk end option tango.png Thank you!
Talk back option tango.png Interesting. I have another question.
Talk end option tango.png It certainly is calming, in its own way.
Talk end option tango.png A pleasure, as always.
