Acquisition[edit]
- Talking to Auris Weirdbringer with the Broken Rift Stabilizer in the player's inventory after being teleported to all 13 locations with a Class I Magic Rift.
- This device can be obtained again after being destroyed, starting by obtaining the Mysterious Device again.
- You may need to go through a few extra portals before the old Class I Rift Stabilizer breaks and becomes a Broken Rift Stabilizer.

Using the device removes weapon skills and provides the skill Activate Stabilizer. When this skill is used near a Class I Magic Rift, it allows the player to interact with the rift, changing the first two skills to a roman numeral number 1. Each subsequent use of skill 1 or 2 increases the shown roman numeral by 1, up to roman numeral 13. Jumping through the rift may teleport the player to a location corresponding to the numbers selected in skill slots 1 and 2, however, certain number combinations are "inactive" and will not teleport a player (see Locations below).
This device can also be used to start Stabilize the Rift events. The event starts when Activate Stabilizer is used near the event marker. These events will be marked by a Nearby Event icon, but won't actually have an event occurring (will appear to be an "empty" event). No event text or activity will be evident, but if you use the Activate Stabilizer skill, a rift appears and the Stabilize the Rift event starts.

Locations per number[edit]
Jumping in Class I Magic Rift while channelling the skill Activate Stabilizer and choosing a number will teleport you to a different location based on the active number. Each first location of the 13 numbers in skill slot 1, and selecting I in skill slot 2 (I-I, II-I, III-I etc.), will teleport you to the same 13 locations as the Class I Rift Stabilizer. "Inactive" denotes a setting that does nothing.

Notes[edit]
- When wielded, the Rift Stabilizer has the same appearance as X7-10 Alpha.
- There is a chance to turn into an Anomalous Form of the player's race when jumping through a rift with an inactive combination.
- The event icon will not show on your map if the stabilizer is in an invisible bag.
- Bringing this item to Auris's Workshop in Grothmar Valley and standing within the broken portal will cause the intermittent sparks around the portal to become increasingly frequent over the course of 97 seconds, at which point Auris Weirdbringer will suddenly (and permanently) disappear.
