Talk:Class II Rift Stabilizer
Coincidence?[edit]
The Ninety-Seventh Fractal is Thaumanova Reactor, Selecting Nine in the first slot takes you to the top of the Reactor, and there is an unstable rift in this location. Its possible that there may be another step to the puzzle, and could be worth investigating.

Removing Sortable Table[edit]
The sortable table does not handle roman numerals correctly, sorting "IX" under "IV" when reading alphabetically. Please enter data in order. I plan to break the table into multiple tables based on "starting number" rather than using one large table, to help with reading. Azure Fang (talk) 19:19, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- I think it could be good to break the table based on the first number, but no need to add combinations with no destination Lytalm 19:36, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- I thought the same, but then I considered the fact that seeing "missing" entries will cause people to needlessly go through those settings. Having them there will allow certainty for readers. Also, split complete. It's ugly, but it works for now. Azure Fang (talk) 19:42, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

Feedback 2016/10/04[edit]
- Pastebin with all locations specifically:
- Note on Class II it ports you to the class I locations when using I as the 2nd number. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 37.191.218.204 (talk • contribs) at 15:45, 4 October 2016 (UTC).
Feedback 2016/10/04[edit]
It's possible (data from forum post) that using the numbers IX and VII (97)in the two skill slots will turn the player character into an anomaly that can be targeted by other PCs. I'm not sure if one must speak to Weirdbringer (sp?). This anomaly character seems to have no skills to fight back. I've yet to test this.
Edit: It is possible to be turned into an anomaly-type character using 9 and 7 with the Stabilizer. One must spam jump near a rift for a small chance to be changed. Unfortunately, I'm not able to speak to Weirdbringer in that state, as there are always players that kill any anomaly-changed PCs before I (or anyone else) can get to him. Sigh. --Inculpatus cedo (talk) 05:46, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- Ouch. Not in-game atm, but can you get the same results on a different map? Or is it only in Fields of Ruin? G R E E N E R 07:07, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- I'm guessing any map, but I was only using the Fields of Ruin map because I was trying to speak to Weirdbringer as an Anomaly. Another thing: The player may be offered a 5-skill slot puzzle upon interacting with the Rift, instead of the Roman Numerals. In that case, click the skill slots to change all 5 skill slots to 'swirls' instead of 'circles/big Os'. It's an easy puzzle; clicking one skill slot changes it and those adjacent.
- Edit: According to posts in the forums, one can attain Anomaly transformation using any random Roman Numerals in the two skill slots. One can not interact with other NPCs, but still don't know about interacting with Weirdbringer. Inculpatus cedo (talk) 07:36, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- I was planning on looking into this. Some settings, I believe "97" included, create a rift effect when you jump but do not take you anywhere; I believe it is these effects only that can anomaly you. According to a video on Youtube, you "swap teams" in anomaly form and can be attacked by players. Azure Fang (talk) 15:30, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- EDIT: Whoops, missed that you already mentioned the team swap. Headaches suck. Azure Fang (talk) 15:30, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- I just testing jumping at a rift with IX and VII and eventually it turned me into an anomaly. Luckily I was able to stay alive and find Weirdbringer, but I couldn't interact with him. It seemed like chat worked so I wanted to try some emotes but unfortunately someone's pet got me. EDIT: /sad doesn't do anything but I got killed again. However, it doesn't seem to be too difficult to turn into the anomaly form. I was able to make it happen using a couple combinations (twice more since my last edit which was only 12 minutes ago) Coranax (talk) 02:18, 7 October 2016 (UTC)

Harry Potter Trivia[edit]
I'm all for trivia, but "It has a 9 3/4 seconds recharge so it could be related to platform 9 3/4 in Harry Potter" because... why? I see no grounds for this other than the number itself and maybe the fact that the device is used to open rifts for teleportation. 76.26.67.163 17:50, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
- That's enough. Skills rarely have recharges like that unless they have been reduced by a trait. It's a very specific number of a skill that would work better with a recharge of 5s. MithTalk 23:38, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
- Should probably remove the Trivia section as the recharge rate is actually 9.7s per [1] and not a reference to Harry Potter. Choco-muffin (talk) 17:27, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
Can Free-to-Play accounts get into Lion's Arch early using this device?[edit]
Before the highest level character on a f2p account reaches level 35, can he get the Class 2 Rift Stabilizer and use V-X to get into LA? --1.32.106.209 05:58, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- ...A good question. I'd assume no, you'd probably get a pop-up message stating that the area is level-limited, but worth a try. —Ventriloquist 21:24, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- I've just tested this with my f2p friend. If you try to jump into a rift nothing will happen, you will only see red text that says "Your teleport could not be completed due to level restriction on your destination.". --109.241.107.74 23:30, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
[edit]
This article currently doesn't have any information on the player character being turned into an anomaly by trying to use a rift. --175.141.46.116 01:17, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
Why is it soulbound?[edit]
It's so tedious to make it too. --60.50.95.109 22:41, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
- We, at the wiki, do not know, but posting it on the official forums might trigger some discussion on the topic. —Ventriloquist 15:41, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
Feedback 1/17/2017[edit]
Hey all! I was planning on making an article relating to the anomaly form that players have a chance to turn into. I was going to create the page called Anomalous Form, unless someone can think of a better name for it. Currently, I will leave the edit I have to not include a link to the article and just make it plain text. Let me know what you think. Sythe 15:45, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
Organizing active destinations[edit]
So, I just copied the data from https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1E4SUsj5RnZO33utI4_QWp-HeqiJYHFqZvlZT_QOtrSI/edit?usp=sharing into https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12wkSEBFRYpdbjgCJuKsDm1LABsVh29dYnaj7gfg6ejA/edit?usp=sharing which only has the active portals and is organized by region and zone rather than code. This is so that if you see a rift nearby, you can use it for cheap travel, I guess. I'm going to add some "notable locations" to the main page, though. --Rydralain (talk) 19:45, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
Same day?[edit]
Well, I've proven that it works over three days, which is why I changed it. Three days before my change, I had six to go. I did four that day, and two the next. It didn't work, but so I wrote my comment on the broken stabilizer talk page. Someone mentioned the possible one-day connection (another half-day later), so I started going through all thirteen again. But, I only needed to do four before it broke. They were not four of the same six that I had done over the previous three days. I deliberately started at thirteen and started working my way backwards, to eliminate that possibility (number III was one of the ones I had done three days earlier).
So, I'm reasonably sure that there is variability in the timing.
However, I'm going to test on some different characters tomorrow when I have time. I'll post again. Leave your revert for now.
By the way, there's one other possibility: that the counting includes some account-based counting, and not all purely character-based. I'm going to try to rule that out (or in) tomorrow as well. Daddicus (talk) 17:20, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
- That's odd. Back when I tried it over a two-day time span it didn't work, and googling lead me to some forum posts that confirmed it needed to happen in the same day. Definitely could use some more investigation/confirmation. —Ventriloquist 18:22, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
Glitch[edit]
If you use a stabilizer at a rift after Stop the Bloodstone Elemental Incursion is successfully completed, there is a chance that a new rift will spawn creating two Stabilize the Rift events. You will not be able to complete either Stabilize the Rift event properly until one of the events times out. --Vm0d (talk) 16:51, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
Years later...[edit]
So here we are, 3 years later. LWS3 wrapped up, a new expansion, LWS4 come and gone, and now LWS5 has started. Now Auris makes another appearance! Bringing the Rift Stabilizer to his workshop and using it on the Broken Portal causes it to make Auris "permanently" disappear after 97 seconds. Is this another leg on the journey now? Or could this be Anet telling us they've given up waiting for us to figure this out and are making this plot thread permanently disappear? Perhaps we can expect him in a later episode? Or perhaps he'll reappear in 97 days? So many curiosities, so many concerns...
I'll admit I came to this mystery years late, but I did a LOT of reading and video watching. Everyone talks about the Rift Stabilizer, and a lot talk about the Shadowstone, but no one really talked about the Krait Oil that's still available for sale in LA from Tradesman Maezz - behind whom the one rift in LA used to be. I mean, it /is/ literally snake oil, but at the same time it did actually work and cure the hallucinations. I probably haven't gleamed 100% of the theories back then, but has anyone tried using the Krait Oil in conjunction with rifts, anomaly fights, becoming an anomaly? Perhaps while holding the Shadow Stone, add the Krait Oil buff, then use the Rift Stabilizer to become an anomaly? Maybe try to interact with the Legendary Ley-Line Anomaly in Gendarren Fields and the other maps as an anomaly, now that the interest over it has died down considerably? And has anyone beat the Ley-Line Anomaly 97 times? I dunno. So many curiosities, so many concerns...
(also, I have no idea how to sign off like everyone else does, sorry. Got my IP from the history tab though, 67.180.124.214)
