Category talk:Item Prefixes

So, I created this category to include all the item prefixes, like "Strong" in [[Strong Trident]], which is always Power and Vitality. I hope you find this category useful. If so, tell me. I'll try to gather up all the prefixes, create pages for them and list them here. =) Gnarf 09:03, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- Or maybe we delete this category and list them all on a new page called Item Prefixes? Don't know if an article for every one of them is needed. How do you think about that? Gnarf 09:21, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- It might be better to condense this prefix information into a single article. I'd propose Item nomenclature, but maybe it needs a proper discussion first. :) - Infinite - talk 10:25, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- I'll wait 3 days or so. If there's no consensus till then, I'll do what you suggested and condense all the prefixes into a single article named Item nomenclature, tagging the individual prefixes as candidates for deletion (including the category). Gnarf 12:04, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- In the event that we do condense, the new article should be categorised in [[Category:Glossary|*]], and similar future nomenclature articles (per example "Skill nomenclature") should follow that format. But I do hope others interject with their insights to find the perfect fashion of documentation for these patterns. - Infinite - talk 12:20, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds like a good idea! --Ee 05:43, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- So the plan is that I create a category named "Nomenclature", which contains the article "Item Nomenclature"? And "Nomenclature" is a subcategory of "Glossary"? Did I understand that right? Gnarf 16:06, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- The category Nomenclature is fully optional, so if you feel it is best to have it you should create it. In fact, yes, we should add the category. :) - Infinite - talk 16:19, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- EDIT:Which contains the article Item nomenclature (note the capitalization). - Infinite - talk 16:20, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- What else would be under Category:Nomenclature? If it's just "Item nomenclature", it doesn't need its own category and can just go under Cat:Glossary. --JonTheMon 16:24, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- Optional FOR NOW. It depends on your plans. If your plans for the future are to add additional nomenclature (Skill, Trait, NPC, ...), I'll create the Category:Nomenclature right now. If it's not written in stone, I'll leave it at creating the Item nomenclature article. Gnarf 16:57, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- Looking at traits it will be a risky move to have a detailed, accurate nomenclature. Skills should be easier. If I had to take a gamble I'd say we'll have them eventually, but they'd be ridden with personal interpretations (much like GWW's skill nomenclature). - Infinite - talk 17:11, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
