Need sum coding help[edit]
Is there a way to remove the "edit" section for headings? As per my user page's profession predictions? Thanks in advance. Eive 00:40, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Ive never really used the three ==='s while editing, try fiddling with <big> and ''' a bit., ill try to replicate it after im finished with this history homework. --Neil • 13:21, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- That worked, thanks. Eive 03:34, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
Floating/fixed elements on userpage[edit]
I think this has already been said before, but the 'floating' stuff on your userpage obstructs the wiki interface, particularly when viewing a diff. They need to be formatted properly, i.e. remove the position absolute stuff. I'm saying this as a warning, so keeping the interface obstructed might lead to a block. pling 15:24, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- Which floater are you referring to? I have just gone through many screen rez. and see no wiki interface blocked. Why would anyone want to access but myself sandbox, anyway?--Neil • 15:40, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- if it was about the "colour" section, it has been changed, "is everything in order, officer?" --Neil • 15:43, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- I was referring to all of them. The blue one, the roof runners one, and the scarecrow thing are still blocking the sitenotice. The scarecrow comes close to blocking links in diffs. It would be best to remove all of them and stick to normal formatting - keep all content in the content area. pling 17:18, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- How about you move the Scarecrow so it hangs from the bottom-side border of your sandbox box. TRR and N ones I can't think of a solution, but I'm sure you can find a place to put them without obstructing links or site notice. - Infinite - talk 17:23, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- Pling, I don't want to sound trollish here, but nobody else has had an issue with any of my floats before- aside from the stupidly large ones i removed. - why do you hate them so much? and if you really come to my userpage to read the side notice (of which im sure the majority of us just dismiss after reading it once) your doin' it wrong. Alright, they can get on peoples nerves sometimes, but even then nobody goes all out north-korean on them. --Neil • 20:13, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- And Iffy, dont worry about that, ill find a place for it later.--Neil • 20:13, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

(Reset indent) @Neil: Please do not take the following as that I hate you or that I think you're annoying or anything of that sort. I think you are a good person and a very good editor. However, you always seem to push the limits of what is acceptable in userspaces (and how much of the userspace is allowed to go into the main space). In the links provided, you seem to have agreed with admins' requests to get rid of the floaters, but then you just leave them there. (The user templates that need to be moved and the current discussion and just two examples of that.) I know that Pling has brought it up repeatedly and has been ignored. Again, don't think that I'm trying to be a hardass, but I just disagree with the constant need and argument for floaters. We don't have many set in stone "rules" here. Just follow the few that we do. (That's all Pling, Felix and I have been asking).
tl;dr: Lose the floaters. Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 21:34, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

- Thanks for doing this now Neil. (I quite honestly, didn't want to see you banned, but you seemed to be ignoring it/ not taking it seriously.) :) Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 22:00, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- No, its the fact that i have shitloads of homework. thanks. xx --Neil • 22:01, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) I am pretty much 100% certain me and Tanetris spoke about the guild tag floater; it was apparently fine on the very right. (Albeit that was under the condition to keep it off talk pages, a rule Neil is abiding by.) Not trying to imply anything, but the floaters appear on many users' userpages and they remain unprotested. - Infinite - talk 22:04, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- It isn't fine if it blocks any links or other for outsiders usefull information. Its been asked civilized many times, and following these requests are not the hardest things to do. For the others users who have floatboxes on their userpage: the floatboxes are mostly designed by Neil, who also made the template for these specific floatboxes. So, its clear that Neil got the message. But, if needed, we have to ask the other users to remove them as well. -- Cyan 22:12, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

- I have gone through every userpage with the topbox and all are fine with it being 41px down than it was (Aside from tech wolf, who i ninja'd). it would no longer sit ontop of the dismiss button, ill do the same on the leader's image when i can be asked. Everthun in ordur?--Neil • 17:23, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- The dismiss button is still very hard to reach. Why not replace it to another position? And then I mean lower on the page. -- Cyan 17:38, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Purpose[edit]
I was thinking a guild like this would be fun, at the start, when we know the game better I'd rather like to have a regular guild, if the guild swithces from this to that after a while I'm thinking of joining on my main, otherwise I'll maybe join with my second. --AdventurerPotatoe - 01:08, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'll maybe join at my second, cause the guild will be big, and with a lot of familiar faces. --AdventurerPotatoe - 01:16, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
- Recommented here since you told me so. --AdventurerPotatoe - 20:54, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
