“Guild missions are weekly challenges for your guild. The currently available missions are listed in the Guild Missions tab of your guild panel. Select the mission you want to run and start it; you'll then have a limited amount of time to complete its objectives. If you fail, you can run it again at no cost. The first time your guild successfully completes a mission each week, it will award your guild favor. The first time you personally complete each mission in a week, you'll receive a personal reward.
Guild missions are an integral part of the game. They provide rewards to both individual players and their guild, enabling upgrades to the guild hall. Missions may be successfully completed by as few as 3 guild members although more are often recommended. Certain missions are instanced.
Access[edit]
Access to guild missions is via the "Missions" tab of the guild panel. This shows which missions have been successfully completed by:
- the individual player (by hovering over the chest next to the mission name). An open chest indicates successful completion.
- the guild (by hovering over the shield to the right of the chest). An empty shield indicated available. Lit up indicates an active mission and filled in indicates successful completion.
The UI also provides:
- details of each mission when it is selected.
- the total favor accumulated by the guild (6000 maximum) and the favor accumulated by the guild the current week (2000 maximum).
Control[edit]
"Mission Control" permission is required to start a mission. They may be re-run multiple times for guild members who have not yet received personal credit. There is no cost for mission activation. Therefore, guilds may wish to relax access to the "Mission Control" permission.
Rewards[edit]
While you cannot receive credit for the same mission twice in one week, you may receive credit for each mission listed. The weekly mission reward caps reset on Mondays at 08:30, when new missions are distributed.
Players who help complete a mission while representing the guild which has that mission active will receive a reward chest based on the difficulty of the mission. Each player can earn one reward chest each week for every mission slot, and earning a mission reward marks that slot as awarded for all of the player's guilds. The rewards for the PvE, PvP, and WvW missions are determined by the tier the mission was drawn from.
Unlocking[edit]
Some guild missions (Easy, Medium and Hard) categories are available when your guild hall is claimed. Additional tiers of missions of these categories automatically unlock at guild levels 10, 20, 30 and 40. There are three different categories that may be unlocked after reaching guild level 4.
- Mission Slot: WvW from the War Room
- Mission Slot: PvP from the Guild Arena
- Mission Slot: PvE from the Guild Market
Missions are divided into 6 categories as follows:
Opportunity | Tier | Unlock |
---|---|---|
Easy Weekly Opportunities | 1 | Create the guild. |
2 | Requires Guild Level 10. | |
3 | Requires Guild Level 40. | |
Medium Weekly Opportunities | 1 | Create the guild. |
2 | Reach Guild Level 20 | |
Hard Weekly Opportunities | 1 | Create the guild. |
2 | Reach Guild Level 30. | |
WvW Opportunities | 1 | Mission Slot: WvW from the War Room |
PvP Opportunities | 1 | Mission Slot: PvP from the Guild Arena |
PvE Opportunities | 1 | Mission Slot: PvE from the Guild Market |
The latter three can be purchased/unlocked in their specified areas in the Guild Hall, and are populated with missions randomly drawn from among the Easy, Medium, and Hard missions for the appropriate category. Missions reset on Mondays at 08:30.
List of Guild Missions[edit]
The list will vary depending on what has been set as your guild's preference: None, PvE, PvP or WxW. Selecting "None" randomly chooses between PvE, PvP or WxW missions and earns your guild +10% favor.
