Trivia

• The Japanese raccoon dog, also known as tanuki, is a species of canid endemic to Japan. They have a significant role in Japanese folklore, as they are reputed to be mischievous and jolly, masters of disguise and shapeshifting but somewhat gullible and absentminded.
  • Bake-danuki, commonly associated with tanuki, are mythological yōkai that can shapeshift and even possess human beings.
