Can this be used in a Story Instance?

Specifically Season Two Zephyrs Ascent?

It only works in uninstanced PvE environment. As the personal story is instanced, it won't be possible to teleport. —Ventriloquist 16:03, 21 September 2015 (UTC)

This item seems to be buggy when used in a squad

It only gives a choice of 4 squad members to teleport to, and none of them are the commander. I don't know how they're chosen too. --175.156.200.47 23:45, 15 February 2017 (UTC)

Feedback 2017/03/09

This seems to come up on the forums periodically: Players asking if one can use Teleport to a Friend to access Season 3 maps, if they have yet to unlock the Episode. I believe the answer is no, so maybe a note about this? Or edit/add a disclaimer to the 'can be used anywhere in PvE' note? --Inculpatus cedo (talk) 04:53, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

I can confirm it won't work, friend tried to get to Ember Bay but didn't have the episode and it didn't work. I added a note that should make it all nice and clear now. - Do_odleplex 05:06, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

I just used it (2018-03-07) to teleport to a squad member who was on a Season 4 map that I had not yet unlocked on my account. I then bought a portal scroll to use on my other toons to unlock that map.161.97.244.137 03:02, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

By 'unlocked', do you mean you had not traveled to it yet on any character, and are you referring to the current Episode's map (your account would automatically unlock that map by logging in)? Where Can They Be Found?

Lion's Arch Issue

If you try to TtF into LA with a character that has not yet been to LA and seen / dismissed the 'New Lion's Arch' cut scene, the cut scene will be played (immediately after the teleport occurs) and the character will be deposited at the ramp leading up to Gendarran Fields as per usual for first time visitors. This will cause the 1-hour TtF re-use countdown timer to start. Not sure if it consumes the TtF since I found this out while using a rechargeable one, though it probably does.
