Talk:Sun's Refuge
looks like the Sunspear Base from gw1 is getting revamped. --Chieftain Alex 06:37, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think it's a reminiscence to the Sunspear Sanctuary Balwin (talk) 09:17, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
- I'm thinking it's going to be a GW2 twist on the Home Instance, Sunspear Sanctuary, and Hall of Monuments. Clara Fee (talk) 15:37, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
- Also the bridge design looks similar. -Chieftain Alex 18:51, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

Swiftness[edit]
Kneeling at the Memorial to the Sunspears gives you a 5 minute Swiftness buff. --BarGamer (talk) 08:57, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
No updates planned?[edit]
The intro blurb consists of three sentences, and the first two are sourced. The third sentence says "no updates planned after episode 4" and has no citation. I can't find mention of that statement anywhere else. Is there an actual source for that that can be added? Aewin (talk) 17:12, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- It was a forum post. I reworded it slightly and added a link. —Ventriloquist 17:20, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
Veteran Corsair Swashbuckler[edit]
I am posting photo if someone doesn't believe me. Suddenly, a few Sunspears + this NPC spawned in the middle room on raptors, and while shouting something like "To battle!" they just rode away. Picture here:https://i.imgur.com/fvppWHs.jpg Sime (talk) 23:16, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
- Hm, could be some cute ambient scene. I wish we had a window pop up whenever we get a new NPC or something, cause this is just searching in the dark. —Ventriloquist 23:25, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
- What you caught is the end of a very cool ambient dialogue tie-in. When the Shatterer is set to spawn in Jahai Bluffs, a corsair will run into the Refuge and announce it, and a group of Sunspears will follow her out. I've added the dialogue. Fivebrights (talk) 01:56, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
Verification of Dialogue[edit]
Verified Eastern exit out of Old Command Post dialogue. There is no req for this dialogue; it's there from the get-go. --Musha 18:25, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
Awakened Verification[edit]
I have these in my Sun's Refuge instance. Here is a screenshot for proof. https://imgur.com/a/eGQpg3r (didn't want to waste wiki space with a temp verification image) XeroKitsune (talk) 20:37, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
- It wasn't a question of "are they there" but "what adds them". They're not default NPCs, but get added by doing something. Maybe the same thing that adds Somu? Konig (talk) 21:13, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
- They're added upon completing the penultimate step of The Convergence of Sorrow I: Elegy. (The clue is that Eladaar says "Awakened need a place to get stinking drunk and cry over their dead like the rest of us. If there's some corner of the sanctuary...") The room they're in is inaccessible prior to that step, too. --—Idris 23:38, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
Instance vs Area[edit]
Seems that there are two entities ingame called "Sun's Refuge": one is an area that connects to Old Command Post and Pact Vanguard, and the other is an instance which contains the areas Sun's Refuge and Old Command Post (and a little bit of Venta Pass). How should we handle this? I see several NPCs from Old Command Post listed on this article, which is entirely fair if we're treating it as an instance, but confusing if we're treating it as an area. —Idris 03:06, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
- Discussed this on discord, consensus seems to be to just treat Sun's Refuge like an area except for marking it in the infobox as an instance. So, all NPCs not found in this area go to Old Command Post. —Idris 15:09, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
An Oddity[edit]
Found an oddity in Sun's Refuge. Above the single perched Griffon in the SE corner all up the rocky climb about 5 feet under the roof there is a "glittering debris" you can ineract with. It transforms you to a lot of various forms, like pets, plants a huge snowball etc.. --Drifterella (talk) 10:28, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
- How progressed is your instance? --Musha 04:42, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
- I found it, too, with a pretty undeveloped instance. --Musha 04:45, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
Fishing from open water requires only 100 Fishing Power (apparently no fishing nodes in this map)[edit]
It counts for Daily Desert Fisher, but it seems to give only trash items (no Desert Fisher fish). --180.129.61.166 10:33, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
