This article is not for "a crack in the ice" it's for "War Eternal" Powurshot (talk) 20:06, 3 June 2019 (UTC)

Correct. Which is exactly what the disambiguation notice at the top says. - Ojimaru (talk) 20:44, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
"This article is about the container item. For the A Crack in the Ice collection achievement, see Gift of Aurene." is what I see on my screen. I'm new to being an editor and dont want to attempt any changes without practicing and testing first. Just wanted to let you know what I see. - 97.70.176.251 14:38, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
Okay, so I fail to see the issue here. You copied the text that clearly states the intent of this article, and redirects users to the A Crack in the Ice achievement article. Consider re-reading what you wrote. - Ojimaru (talk) 15:12, 4 June 2019 (UTC)

"Contained in

   Dragon Coffer.png Dragon Coffer"

This should be removed... The preceding unsigned comment was added by 62.165.224.39 (talk).

I disagree, as the containers can still be obtained (thus not being historical content). Sure it's an extremely rare chance, but it's a chance nonetheless. —Ventriloquist 07:33, 8 October 2019 (UTC)

Guaranteed coffer[edit]

I added a verify request about whether a gift is still guaranteed on your 1000th opening if you got one from a non-coffer source but it was removed because "the reference could not be more clear"... personally I disagree. The reference says "If you haven't received one by the 1000th chest opened on your account", and to me it's unclear whether this means "if you haven't received one from a Mistborn Coffer specifically" or "if you haven't received one ever". Further, Mistborn Coffers were (afaik) the only source of this item at the time the reference was written, so surely there's a possibility the ref could be outdated? --82.23.25.104 13:11, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

It is highly unlikely for them to track other (newer) acquisition methods which were not in place at the time of creating the mechanism. —Kvothe (talk) 00:18, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
That's exactly my point -- we need more information on how they implemented the tracker. If it checks "has this account received a gift from a Coffer", then any new acquisition methods would go untracked by default, and you would still be guaranteed one from a Coffer if you already got one from Dragonstorm... but if it just checks "has this account ever had a gift in the inventory", then the opposite is true. The reference doesn't clarify which of the two it is because at the time of writing it didn't matter, and speculation doesn't seem like a good idea when it could result in people grinding 1000 chests for no reason, thus why I added a verify tag. :/ --82.23.25.104 05:57, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
