Does this NPC still exist? I've flown around Triskell Quay and Viathan's Arm but could not find any sign of him. If he exists, whereabouts would we find him? ~ Sanna 11:16, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- Can't find him either. Found Idris tho :P ~SimeTalk 13:55, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict, hi Sime :p) Yeah, I can't find him anywhere either. I vaguely recall Triskell Quay's outfit of NPCs changing at some point, but I'm not sure when... I swear I can recall there being some event chain where krait attack the town and take their prisoners to Krait's Larder, but it doesn't seem to be there anymore, so maybe the NPCs involved in that event--assuming I'm remembering its existence correctly--were removed with it? Only references to Keldain I can find on the wiki were added by a single user in late 2015; they created this page, and added him to the Triskell Quay article (but not Viathan's Arm). —Idris 13:57, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- Ok, it would not be the first time content is changed or removed from the game. But we also cannot definitively say that this NPC is no longer there; or is there a way to determine that? ~ Sanna 14:17, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- Super hard to prove a negative. But if there's really no sign of him anywhere, five years after he was added to the wiki, it's probably safe to mark him as historical, along with a note explaining the uncertainty. I'd also like to see if there's any evidence of the town and nearby events changing at some point -- Kessex Hills went through some pretty major changes around 2013 due to the Tower of Nightmares storyline. —Idris 14:23, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- I also can't find him and there aren't any events in the area that would cause him to be an event triggered NPC. However, poking the other wikis, it seems the French wiki made a page for the NPC in 2013. So what I think happened here is the NPC was part of the group of NPCs that got removed due to Tower of Nightmare, and the editor who made this page had screenshots of his dialogue, making the page after the NPC had been removed. If that's the case, can probably find a video somewhere of what the guy looked like(I suspect it's the standard Fisherman hat wearing model). - Doodleplex 15:16, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- I distinctly remember this NPC as being on the southern end of Triskell Quay (which is in fact in Triskellion Vale, not Viathan's Arm so his location is marked wrong), and he is indeed missing. Fun fact: His disappearance is the trigger for Prevent krait slavers from capturing villagers to occur (I remember in the early days reading his dialogue when suddenly SWOOSH a krait spear pierced his chest and yanked him into the water). Seems that event and its follow-up is also historical, probably because this NPC was removed. Odd that the article was made in 2015, since it seems on brief investigation the relevant event was removed with ToN that was in November/December 2013. Konig (talk) 23:29, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- I KNEW IT —Idris 23:30, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- Modified article to the best of my memory. Not 100% sure on the image, it was either that one (which is used for all the Fisher NPCs there), or File:Jamie.jpg. I just remember the vest on bare chest, and not being the bald model. Konig (talk) 00:50, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
