There seems to be another duelist armor set; one that is far more skimpy and not listed on the wiki. --192.168.104.79 02:16, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

It's this one. They put the same image as the duelist armor you get from low level karma vendors. You get this set from drops and chests in exotic rarity, at levels 60...70. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 15:02, 27 October 2012 (PDT)
It's not this one. This one is called Duelist in the PvP Locker. See: [[PvP Duelist armor]]. On the Trading post, and from drops, this one is called the Marksman armor. The Concept Art of this armor is on my User:Enda/Ranger 101 page.
The one called Duelist armor on the trading post, and from drops is this one: 2011 March female human thief.jpg (My level 80 Human Thief, Dai Lao, wears it.) --Enda - talk 22:09, 27 October 2012 (PDT)
Correction: The male image is Duelist armor, the female armor is the Marksman armor, or the PvP Locker's: [[PvP Duelist armor]]. --Enda - talk 22:18, 27 October 2012 (PDT)
On gw2armor.com, the "skimpy" armor is considered Standard/Leather http://gw2armorgallery.com/human-medium.htm -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 10:06, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

The female version of this doesn't have the correct picture as mentioned. I have some shots of my own Duelist armour on my Ranger. [1] [2] Neon 20:30, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

There is a difference between pvp armor and pve karma armor. The picture of the female sylvari at the top of the page is the picture that goes with all the karma merchants listed. I took the name from http://gw2armorgallery.com . If there is a different name for this armor, then the page needs to be moved. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 09:44, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
PvE is VERY, VERY, VEEEERY inconsistent when it comes to names. When the name of an item should mean prefix/base stats + skin + upgrade, that doesn't always happen. What the PvP locker calls '[[PvP Sneakthief armor]]' in PvE has several different names, for example, All 'named' sets like Nika's have that appearance. We should stick to the PvP locker names for the name of the skin itself, and use the PvE names only for the singular instances of the base stats, like Nika's vs Aidan's. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 04:20, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Then please point me to a list of the pvp locker names, and a gallery of their skins, and I will make any necessary adjustments to the pages I've created. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 05:08, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
I still think it's misleading for people looking for the Duelist set and not seeing the right picture. Does the "skimpy" duelist set exist in the PvP locker and if so would it be worth putting a note on the article detailing this discrepancy as Duelist is quite a popular set Neon 20:30, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
The naming inconsistency is widespread in the game. As most folks purchase what they want on the Trading Post to transmute what they have in order to achieve that "special look" (as I have,) I believe that the naming of armors should be based on that, and not on the PvP Locker's names, or even the names in drops, or personal story rewards. (The Marksman Armor from drops, and personal story rewards, looks like the PvP Duelist Armor, but it is unavailable as Marksman Armor on the Trading Post.) As I have purchased, at level 5, the exotic (levels 62-79) armor called "Duelist Armor" in the Trading post, I can definatively state that it is the skimpy armor in the image I posted above. Add that to the fact that there is no preview in the Trading Post, and that folks come to this Wiki to see what those armors on the Trading post look like, I firmly believe that the naming of armors on this Wiki should match the names on the Trading Post. Check any of the personal story rewards, i.e. from Eye of the Sun, rangers, engineers, and thieves are offered the Rawhide, Studded, and the Marksman (not Duelist) armors, and only the Marksman isn't on the Trading Post. --Enda - talk 21:44, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
I guess I disagree, I think that the pvp locker seems to have the most consistent naming system for the armor skins. I have however proposed that an additional variable be added to the armor infobox for the individual item pages that designate which "skin" each piece is part of. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 16:07, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
I definitely agree with boh of you.. The wiki is a perfect place to make sense of all the armor name inconsistencies, so you can easily determine what is what and how to find it. I agree with Wyn in that using the PvP locker names as skin names seems easiest, since it is the most organized. I think, however, that all ambigouos names should have a rather big and clear disambig at the top, and all names used for drops/karma but not otherwise should be properly redirected and explained at the top of the page. If, for example, I search for Duelist armor, the disambig should mention all the different names there are for this skin, and also the wiki names for other skins named Duelist in game. It will be big and clunky, but until ArenaNet gets their stuff together and makes something logical of their naming system, I think it's the best way. - anja talk 17:27, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
Might note that the "skimpy" armor known as "Duelist" armor on the Trading Post has become more and more popular. It's hard to go anywhere without seeing it, and the price of the tops alone have doubled within the last month alone. By my estimate, the tops alone should be going for 1 gold by next week. My Human Thief paid a little over 2 gold for a set 2 months ago, while my Sylvari Thief paid a little over 3 gold for a full set just a few weeks ago. No matter what it's called, it's very popular. --Enda - talk 01:52, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
