Talk:Crafting station
One crafting station per explorable zone? Where?[edit]
It might be interesting to say where in each explorable zone the crafting stations are located. Wayfarer Foothills: close to the Twinspur Haven Waypoint, between the Icesteppes and Icevine Dale Hoelbrak: in the Trade Commons Zahra 00:33, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Well, the only crafting point I found in explorable areas for now, is Township of Claypool in Queensdale. None in Kessex Hills nor Gendarran Fields, 100% completed. Yes we could update here for reference. --Lukas Mantor 09:20, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
- yeah i was thinking of something like that because for some reason lots of places dont have these stations and they are very good for dumping stuff you looted into your bank, i wonder why they never implemented crafting stations in every map.
- They added a location list inside Crafting main page. I'll update there as soon as I discover new places! --Lukas Mantor 11:16, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
- Well, it still doesn't do much good to this Crafting station page then if it is now placed at Crafting main page. This page doesn't seem required. I suggest to include the locations of crafting station in this page. Paladinofmm 05:59, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

The closest free trading post to crafting stations is at **Hawkgates Waypoint** in Stronghold of Ebonhawke in Fields of Ruin.
The second closest is Rata Sum at the Accountancy Waypoint. Third is Divinity's Reach, where you can teleport to Minister's Waypoint for the TP and glide down to the crafting stations.
Do we need pages for individual stations?[edit]
I notice that individual stations redirect to their profession page, e.g. Artificing Station redirects to Artificing. I'm not really a fan of this. I'd like to convert them into object pages, but that may not be necessary while this article exists. Should I just change the redirects to point here instead? --Idris (talk) 01:51, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- Just a guess, but I believe it's because everything you'd do at a crafting station relates to the craft for that station. - Doodleplex 02:07, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- That's fair, but each station has several unique appearances, and I feel it'd be useful to document them. I don't mind if we do that in the form of individual articles or as a big gallery on this article, though I do notice that the scribing station already has its own article. --Idris (talk) 03:32, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
Locations[edit]
I thought it would say where they were on this page.. Obviously in the main home towns, but nowhere else that I know of to 'pop to' without losing where you are in the game.. WvW used to have crafting stations, but no more. A temp. or permanent 'lounge-type' pass of some sort will do the trick - if you buy one with gems. GH for Scribe, but not for other crafts.. Is this anet's way of trying to get us to buy one of these passes?
