Walkthrough[edit]

Enter the instance near Amnoon Waypoint. Speak to Taimi, then join the party in your honor. You may speak to your friends and acquaintances before giving your grand victory speech. You'll have to choose in which tone to start the speech with, in which tone to continue and in which tone to end the speech - either upbeat, vague or somber.

Regroup with your team at the docks, discuss the challenges ahead and watch the fireworks. The reunion is cut short as Kralkatorrik takes flight once more, branding even more of Elona.

Dialogue[edit]

If you chose to support Joko:
<Character name>: Definitely more Awakened here since Amnoon accepted Joko's support.
If you chose to support the Sunspears:
<Character name>: A Sunspear in public? Their alliance with Amnoon must be going well.
If you chose to keep Amnoon independent:
<Character name>: Amnoon has really stepped up their security since the last time I was here.
Taimi: Commander! Hey!
<Character name>: Taimi! What're you doing in Amnoon?
Taimi: I decided to take a break from the lab and get back out in the field. I'm here to give you guys a hand and hopefully poke some stuff.
Taimi: Of course, I'm sure ol' Phlunt and his phlunky squad are probably combing through my Dragon Lab as we speak.
<Character name>: Taimi...
Taimi: Anyway, Jory and I hitched a ride with Captain Kiel and some trade envoys in her slow-floaty airship. This place really needs an asura gate.
<Character name>: Taimi! Balthazar's dead.
Taimi: I heard! Congratulations! So, what do we call you now? "Dragon Slayer" or "God Stomper" or what?
<Character name>: Taimi, focus... When Balthazar died, Kralkatorrik absorbed most of his freed energy.
<Character name>: Kralkatorrik's even stronger and more dangerous than ever.
Taimi: Oh boy. That could seriously accelerate the Elder Dragon imbalance. I should run some worst-case hypotheticals right away.
Taimi: You're lucky I'm here. And good thing I've got everything I need right here in Mobile Lab Scruffy 2.0.
Council Messenger: Excuse me, Commander? Chief Councilor Imann requests your presence inside for a small celebration to honor your victory.
Taimi: Sounds like someone's got to go take a bow.
<Character name>: ...Thank you.
Council Messenger: She's waiting for you now in the town square, <ma'am/sir>. Everyone is.
Taimi: No rest for the heroic.
<Character name>: Taimi, I'll go say a quick hello to the councilor, then we can meet on the docks. I'll catch you up on everything there.
Taimi: You got it... "God Stomper."
If you chose to support Joko:
Grand Vizier Utumishi: It is a happy day indeed. Even now, the Awakened forces of the transcendent King Joko are driving out the last of Balthazar's underlings.
Chief Councilor Imann: Yes, yes. We're all grateful for the Awakened army's might. Uh, praise Joko.
Grand Vizier Utumishi: Praise Joko indeed! And praise the wise council of Amnoon for partnering with our kingdom, under his watchful glare!
If you chose to support the Sunspears:
Grand Vizier Utumishi: It is a happy day indeed. Even now, the Awakened forces of the transcendent King Joko are driving out the last of Balthazar's underlings.
Grand Vizier Utumishi: I trust that you now see that allying with the sunspears was a mistake. If we can take down a god, what hope does that sect have against us?
Chief Councilor Imann: I'll reserve final judgment until all the reports come in. In matters like these, things are not always as they first appear.
If you chose to keep Amnoon independent:
Grand Vizier Utumishi: Perhaps now Amnoon will reconsider the palace's generous offer and join our kingdom as subordinates.
Chief Councilor Imann: Ah, yes. Well. That's highly unlikely. Your offer is generous, but Amnoon values its independence.
Chief Councilor Imann: But enough politics. This is a celebration! Out guest of honor should be arriving at any moment.
Grand Vizier Utumishi: Ah, yes. The noble hero of Kodash Bazaar. Whose success would not have been possible without my blessing and aid.
Chief Councilor Imann: Ahai, Commander! We heard the great news about Balthazar. I hope you don't mind my arranging this little celebration of your victory.
<Character name>: It's an impressive gathering, Councilor, but my crew and I really must rest...
Chief Councilor Imann: Of course, I'm certain killing gods must be exhausting work, but I can't in good conscience let Amnoon's heroes leave until you've all been fed, fawned over, and properly fêted.
<Character name>: Perhaps just for a moment.
If you chose to support Joko:
Chief Councilor Imann: Oh, Commander, you've met our gracious ally from Joko's kingdom, yes? I understand some of the credit for your great victory lies with him.
<Character name>: Lies indeed. In fact, I would say that "most" of the responsibility for my success with his king's army can be laid at his feet.
If you chose to support the Sunspears:
Chief Councilor Imann: Grand Vizier, this is the commander. The hero who led the Awakened troops to their stunning victory over Balthazar.
Grand Vizier Utumishi: What? No. Archon Iberu led the Awakened. I spoke with him personally.
<Character name>: I don't know about this archon, Grand Vizier, but I assure you that I'm the one to whom you entrusted your benevolent leader's armies.
If you chose to keep Amnoon independent:
Chief Councilor Imann: I understand you've met Grand Vizier Utumishi. He's been regaling us with tales of your close collaboration on this great victory.
Grand Vizier Utumishi: What? Him/Her?
<Character name>: Yes, the grand vizier deserves all the credit he can grab. I would not have had the use of Joko's troops if not for his eager insistence.
<Character name>: When the truth about this victory is told to King Joko, "I promise your name will come up as well."
Grand Vizier Utumishi: Oh, no. Ohhh, no. Excuse me, I must go. Now.
Utumishi runs off.
Chief Councilor Imann: That's odd...and a bit worrisome. Utumishi may be a servile little weasel, but he moves in the highest echelons of Joko's government.
Chief Councilor Imann: But no, I won't let dark thoughts of that lich king ruin this celebration. Today is about you, your companions, and your glorious victory.
<Character name>: Actually, Councilor, I need to tell you the truth about what happened at Kodash.
Chief Councilor Imann: No! No, no. Save your honesty for another day.
Chief Councilor Imann: It's been too long since this city...since these people have had anything to celebrate. Or heroes to embrace.
Chief Councilor Imann: They need this. They need you. In fact...
Chief Councilor Imann: Citizens of Amnoon, raise your glasses in toast: to our heroes, who delivered us from Balthazar and restored peace to our city.
Citizen: Cheers!
Noble: Bottoms up!
Cavalier (1): Ahai!
Cavalier (2): Cheers!
Miner: Yes!
Refugee: Yes! Here, here!
Rytlock Brimstone: Speech! Speech!
Chief Councilor Imann: Yes, commander. Those who owe you their lives want to hear all about your momentous victory.
Chief Councilor Imann: Or, if you'd rather take a few moments to relax, mingle, and enjoy the moment first, you can take the stage whenever you're ready.
Approaching NPCs before the speech
Cavalier: I've never seen an actual hero up close before.
Cavalier: Of all the gods, I've always liked Balthazar least. Maybe it was the beard. Anyway, I'm glad he's dead. Good choice.
Noble: You're always welcome here.
Noble: You think before you guys pack up and head home you could maybe do something about those pesky sand sharks? They're the worst.
Noble: I hope my daughter grows up to be just like you.
Troublemaker: I know you've killed dragons and a god and whatever, but I still bet I could take you. Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
Miner: We owe you our lives.
Child: Is that him/her? Mommy, is that the hero?
Citizen: I doubt you remember me, but I was in the pyramid the day you arrived. When the Forged attacked. I never got to thank you, so... Thank you.
Zalambur: My dear captain Kiel: on behalf of Amnoon, allow me to thank you for the generous aid your trade delegation provided.
Zalambur: However, as someone with many...trade interests, I can't help wondering if there's not some hidden price tag.
Captain Ellen Kiel: I'm not sure what you mean. Surely one can offer humanitarian aid without being suspected of ulterior motives?
Captain Ellen Kiel: Mind you, I think we both recognize the full, occasionally unspoken, state of opportunities here for both Amnoon and Lion's Arch.
Zalambur: We do. But suppose I were to tell you that certain parties identified your Captain's Council as a potentially troublesome trade partner.
Captain Ellen Kiel: How strange. That's what the Consortium said about you. That is, if we're talking about the same "certain parties."
Zalambur: I see. Well, I suppose trust must begin somewhere.
Captain Ellen Kiel: I'm sure we can come to a mutually beneficial agreement.
Zalambur: Perhaps we can discuss this further here in my office over a fine Elonian wine, Captain Kiel.
Captain Ellen Kiel: Or, better yet, back in my office over a bottle from the Eldvin Monastery vineyards.
Zalambur: Oh, my. Are you married, Captain?
Captain Ellen Kiel: Please, call me Ellen.
Talking to NPCs before speech
Chief Councilor Imann: Everyone's waiting to hear from the hero of Kodash. Have you prepared your speech yet? No pressure.
Talk more option tango.png I'm a tad nervous.
Don't be. At this point, you've seen it all. Done it all. How many here can claim to have bested a god? Brought peace to the region? Have a little confidence in yourself.
Talk more option tango.png Why did you ask for my help earlier? (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for the party. (same as below)
Talk end option tango.png I can do this.
Talk more option tango.png Why did you ask for my help earlier?
Sometimes an outside opinion can bring sanity to an otherwise maddening debate. We take care of our own problems here, but sometimes it's nice to get a fresh perspective.
Talk more option tango.png Are you happy with the outcome?
(If Amnoon allied with Joko) Have you prepared your speech yet? We're all eager to hear from the hero! Amnoon has much work to do, and with the Awakened watching our every move...we could use some heartening words.
(If Amnoon allied with Sunspears) We're all eager to hear from the hero! Is your speech ready? Between you and me, I wouldn't mention Amnoon's alliance with Kormir's priesthood. There are...differing opinions.
(If Amnoon stayed neutral) How is the speech coming along? Amnoon is so grateful to you. You have saved us and helped us maintain our cherished independence. Everyone wants to hear what you have to say.
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for the party. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png I'm a tad nervous.'' (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Indeed.
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for the party. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png I'm a tad nervous. (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Glad to be of help.
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for the party.
You deserve it for all you've done here. Now quit yammering and speak to these people. They're waiting!
Talk more option tango.png I'm a tad nervous. (same as above)
Talk more option tango.png Why did you ask for my help earlier? (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png If you'll excuse me, then...
Talk end option tango.png I'd better prepare my speech. Take care.
Captain Rahim: You again! When I heard about your ordeals I was half convinced I'd seen the last of you. Glad to know I was wrong.
Talk more option tango.png Your advice helped.
Sure thing. I may not have all the answers, but I know where to look. Who to talk to.
Talk more option tango.png Qais turned out to be useful. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Have things finally calmed down? (same as below)
Talk end option tango.png Take care.
Talk more option tango.png Qais turned out to be useful.
He's not so bad. I occasionally have to question his loyalty, but he comes through when I need him.
Talk more option tango.png Have things finally calmed down? (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Your advice helped. (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png I'll be seeing you.
Talk more option tango.png Have things finally calmed down?
(If Amnoon allied with Joko) A little. With Balthazar gone, the number of refugees flooding in has lessened slightly. Also, many come to Amnoon to flee Joko, Only to find Amnoon has allied with him—so they leave.
(If Amnoon allied with Sunspears) At the gates? A little. Balthazar's defeat has brought relief, but although Amnoon's alliance with the Sunspears has inspired some, others are apprehensive. And there is much to rebuild.
(If Amnoon stayed neutral) At the gates? A little. The people of Amnoon have lost so much. We pride ourselves on our continued independence, but it means we have only ourselves for support as we rebuild.
Talk more option tango.png Your advice helped. (same as above)
Talk more option tango.png Qais turned out to be useful. (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk end option tango.png Talk to you later.
Master Chef Laraib: (If completed the Just a Sip achievement) Sous-chef! While you were out saving the desert, I had to make all the food for your party by myself ...But I suppose I should still thank you. Now go away; I am too tired for chitchat.
(otherwise) Enjoying yourself? Good. I worked overtime to provide all the food for your celebration. I really must find myself a competent sous-chef. Now go away; I am too tired for chitchat.
Talk end option tango.png Try to enjoy the party. Or not.
Shadows Agent Kito: I'm glad this is a victory party and not a funeral procession. Though the food might be better at the latter...
Talk more option tango.png Had I lost against Balthazar, there'd be a lot more burials.
Very true. I'm sure you already know that we're grateful for your efforts. The Order of Shadows doesn't regret its role in your success.
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for your help in all of this. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png You never told me much about our order. (same as below)
Talk end option tango.png I have to go.
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for your help in all of this.
Don't mention it. In fact, don't ever mention it to anyone. We've never met. Understand?
Talk more option tango.png I get it. Spy stuff, right?
I can't tell if you're being serious or just obtuse. Either way, I'm glad we had this chat. I'll see you around.
Talk more option tango.png You never told me much about our order. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Had I lost against Balthazar, there'd be a lot more burials. (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Not if I see you first.
Talk more option tango.png You never told me much about our order. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Had I lost against Balthazar, there'd be a lot more burials. (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Who are you again?
Talk more option tango.png You never told me much about our order.
That's on a need-to-know basis. And right now, you don't need to know anything more than what I've told you already. But there may come a time where we'll collaborate again. Until then, be well.
Talk more option tango.png Had I lost against Balthazar, there'd be a lot more burials. (same as above)
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for your help in all of this. (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Farewell.
Talk end option tango.png Excuse me for a moment.
Captain Ellen Kiel: Commander! Congratulations on the success of your mission. I always knew you'd prevail.
Talk more option tango.png What are you doing here?
A little mail bird told me of your victory, so I thought I'd fly down and congratulate you myself. Amnoon is even more beautiful than I'd heard. I just might take some time off to enjoy the sights.
Talk more option tango.png How are things back in Lion's Arch? (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png I see you've met Zalambur. (same as below)
Talk end option tango.png I should be going.
Talk more option tango.png How are things back in Lion's Arch?
Thanks to your efforts, I imagine that we'll be seeing fewer refugees arriving at our ports. Most of them will return here, but Lion's Arch is magnetic. Some will make it their new home.
Talk more option tango.png Lion's Arch is a melting pot.
We welcome all. It's what makes us strong.
Talk more option tango.png I see you've met Zalambur. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png What are you doing here? (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk more option tango.png I see you've met Zalambur. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png What are you doing here? (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Take care.
Talk more option tango.png I see you've met Zalambur.
Zalambur: Indeed she has. Ellen and I have much to discuss. Trade opportunities, partnerships. Dinner reservations. On that note, if you'll excuse us...
Talk more option tango.png What are you doing here? (same as above)
Talk more option tango.png How are things back in Lion's Arch? (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Good luck, you two.
Talk end option tango.png So long.
Deputy Qais: Well, look who it is. You've been busy.
Talk more option tango.png Keeping your nose out of trouble?
Discretion is my middle name, Commander. As an "officer of the law" I know better than to get too chummy with the dregs of society.
Talk more option tango.png Amnoon is free. A little thanks might be in order. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png What's next for you? (same as below)
Talk end option tango.png I have to go.
Talk more option tango.png Amnoon is free. A little thanks might be in order.
Such modesty! Are you expecting a parade, too? I must admit, though, that things have improved since you lobbied to keep Amnoon free. I haven't seen such happy faces in...well, a long time.
Talk more option tango.png What about Zalambur?
Zalambur has been working more closely with Councilor Imann. This party is just the start of their outreach efforts. So, while it pains me to say this...thank you.
Talk end option tango.png Good enough, I suppose.
Talk more option tango.png What's next for you? (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Keeping your nose out of trouble? (same as above)
Talk more option tango.png What's next for you?
A little of this. Maybe a little of that. Someone needs to keep tabs on Zalambur, right?
Talk more option tango.png Keeping your nose out of trouble? (same as above)
Talk more option tango.png Amnoon is free. A little thanks might be in order. (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
(upon closing dialogue)
(If not received Lateen Sail before) Ahem. Before you go, I'd like you to have this. As a token of thanks. (Receive Lateen Sail)
(If already received Lateen Sail before) See you around.
Talk end option tango.png Enjoy the party.
Priestess Karima: You are the light that pierces. What may I do for you, outlander?
Talk more option tango.png How are things at the refugee camp?
Though the fighting will eventually subside, its effects will remain long after. War is a terrible beast.
Talk more option tango.png I suppose you heard about Balthazar... (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png You're doing great work. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png I suppose you heard about Balthazar...
A necessary casualty, if what I heard was true. He fell from grace. Kormir herself could not save him.
Talk more option tango.png You're doing great work. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png How are things at the refugee camp? (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Farewell.
Talk more option tango.png You're doing great work.
I'm only doing what is right and necessary. It's what Kormir would have wanted. Yes, Kasmeer told me that our goddess has left. Please, don't ask me how I feel about it.
Talk more option tango.png How are things at the refugee camp? (same as above)
Talk more option tango.png I suppose you heard about Balthazar... (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Peace to you.
Talk end option tango.png Take care.
Second Spear Nayrim: Ahai, stranger. It's been too long. Kormir knows we've been through the Underworld and back. You literally, and me figuratively.
Talk more option tango.png Happy to see you're still standing.
You're not the only one. How I've kept my hide intact despite all efforts to the contrary is a feat Kormir herself should be proud of.
Talk more option tango.png Speaking of Kormir... (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png What will you do now? (same as below)
Talk end option tango.png I have to go.
Talk more option tango.png Speaking of Kormir...
Shh—quiet. Kasmeer told me, but we don't want everyone to know...yet. I'm still wresting with the fact that she's gone. That they're all gone. That the gods would leave us...
Talk more option tango.png It's for a good reason.
I'm not one to question the gods, but I can't help but feel like they've abandoned us. Then again, I've been fighting solo for most of my life, so I suppose I've done without them just fine.
Talk more option tango.png What will you do now? (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Happy to see you're still standing. (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Take care.
Talk more option tango.png What will you do now? (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Happy to see you're still standing. (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Take care.
Talk more option tango.png What will you do now?
The same thing I've been doing for years. Defending those who can't defend themselves. Something we have in common, right?
Talk more option tango.png Happy to see you're still standing. (same as above)
Talk more option tango.png Speaking of Kormir... (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Good point.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
(upon closing dialogue)
(If have not received Embroidered Sunspear Sigil before) Wait. Before you go, I want you to have this memento as thinks for all you've done. For me. For the Sunspears. (Receive Embroidered Sunspear Sigil)
(If already received Embroidered Sunspear Sigil before)
Talk end option tango.png Thank you. Enjoy the Party.
Wurmmarshal Osa Ekolo: Nice party, God Killer.
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for lending me your wurms.
Fortuitous that we both benefited. We defeated Joko's enemies, and my wurms feasted on their corpses. Delicious isn't it.
Talk more option tango.png Joko will find out that you helped me. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png So, What now? (same as below)
Talk end option tango.png I have to go.
Talk more option tango.png Joko will find out that you helped me.
His Benevolence won't shed a tear for Balthazar. Besides, you tricked me. It doesn't matter.
Talk more option tango.png You're not nervous?
You're the one who should be nervous. When Joko returns, he'll demand retribution, and his other generals will eagerly oblige. You will join his army soon enough.
Talk more option tango.png So, What now? (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for lending me your wurms. (same as below)
Talk end option tango.png I have to go.
Talk more option tango.png So, What now? (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for lending me your wurms. (same as below)
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk more option tango.png So, What now?
I wait.
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for lending me your wurms. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Joko will find out that you helped me. (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Okay, then.
Talk end option tango.png I'm needed elsewhere.
(upon closing dialogue)
(If not received Palawa's Personal Tapestry before) Even though our time on the battlefield was under false pretenses, it was a brilliant fight nonetheless. Have this. Enjoy it while you have a pulse. (Receive Palawa's Personal Tapestry)
Talk end option tango.png Thanks. I think.
(If already received Palawa's Personal Tapestry before) Good-Bye.
Talk end option tango.png I have to go.
Veteran Choya Chief: (puka puka)
Talk more option tango.png Um...what?
(clicky click click)
Talk more option tango.png Puka...puka? (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Erm. BEEP BOOP. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Puka...puka?
(PUKA PUKA PUKA!)
Talk more option tango.png Eh.
...
Talk more option tango.png ... (same as "Um...what?")
Talk end option tango.png I'm out of here.
Talk more option tango.png Erm. BEEP BOOP. (same as below)
Talk more option tango.png Um...what? (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Sigh.
Talk more option tango.png Erm. BEEP BOOP.
[The choya looks confused.]
Talk more option tango.png Um...what? (same as above)
Talk more option tango.png Puka...puka? (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png Okay, then.
Talk end option tango.png I can't do this.
In a quiet area northeast of the Amnoon Emporium
Champion Jackal Tamer Etuz: The jackal's magical origin and unique ability to teleport are what makes them the superior mount.
Aksim: Well, my raptors may not glow in the dark, but they can run circles around those sluggish sand dogs of yours.
Skimmer Trainer Kofi: Speed may be important in a busting city, but once you venture into the real world of quicksand and toxic bogs, the skimmer is king.
Springer Trainer Asha: But you gotta admit, there's no mount cuter or fluffier than my springers.
Aksim: That's true.
Skimmer Trainer Kofi: Can't argue with you there.
Champion Jackal Tamer Etuz: Which makes your springers ideal for anyone harvesting pelts.
Springer Trainer Asha: Wh-what?
Aksim: So..change of topic, then?
Tasa: Outlander! You're back!
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for the raptor.
Aksim: You bet. It's the least we could do. I know you'll take care of her.
Talk more option tango.png How's the village? (same as below)

Talk end option tango.png See you around.
Talk more option tango.png How's the village?
We're recovering, rebuilding. Balthazar may have taken those we lost, but at least we can look to the future. I only wish I could have seen you smite him. I'd love to spit on his bones.
Talk more option tango.png There's nothing left to spit on.
Aksim: Then I'll curse his name.

Talk more option tango.png Enjoying the party?
After all we've been through? Not really. I mean, the food's decent and it's nice seeing everyone let down their hair, but I'm just not in the partying mood. Sorry, outlander.
Talk more option tango.png Thanks for the raptor. (same as above)
Talk more option tango.png How's the village? (same as above)
Talk end option tango.png No apologies necessary.
Talk end option tango.png Great seeing you.
Springer Trainer Asha: You don't think he'd actually...harvest...my springers for their fur, do you?
Talk more option tango.png Magnificent springer you've got there.
Isn't he? Those strong legs, his soft fur. My favorite is how he wiggles his nose at me.
Talk more option tango.png How are things at the ranch? (same as below)

There's always work to be done, but Unja does a pretty good job for a girl her age. She'll make a fine trainer when she's older.

Champion Jackal Tamer Etuz: Tell me, traveler, have you finally accepted the superiority of the jackal?
Talk more option tango.png Yes.
Good.
Talk end option tango.png Okay, then.
Talk more option tango.png Convince me.
Jackals can travel through rifts. Springers can't.
Talk more option tango.png Where can I find the jackal camp?
Sand Jackal Run, in the southwest of the Desolation.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk end option tango.png Whatever.
Talk more option tango.png No.
This conversation is over.
Talk end option tango.png Rude.
Talk end option tango.png I'm needed elsewhere.
Interacting with the tables
Buffet Table: This table hosts an eclectic mix of dishes. (This table is located on the east side of the podium stage)
Talk more option tango.png Try the stuffed meat.
Whatever that was, it was delicious! Incredible! Simply stunning! (Applies Stun.png Stun and Regeneration.png Regeneration)
Talk more option tango.png What was that?
Troublemaker: Fabulous, isn't it? It's a regional delicacy, very popular for parties and gatherings. Stuffed shadhavar spleen.
Talk end option tango.png ...Interesting.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Try the hummus.
The dip is slightly spicy, with a smooth but complex flavor. It goes well with flatbread.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Try the candied flower petals.
They weren't sweet at all! Maybe they were just meant to be decorative.
Talk end option tango.png Leave quickly.
Talk end option tango.png I'm not hungry.
Buffet Table: This table hosts an eclectic mix of dishes. (This table is located on the west side of the podium stage)
Talk more option tango.png Try the sand-shark steak.
It tastes fishy. And a little sandy.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Try the olives.
These olives have a very strong_and salty_flavor, with hints of garlic and olive oil.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Try the stew.
A hearty stew made with tomatoes, rice, vegetables, and beef.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk end option tango.png Nothing here looks interesting.
Cactus Table: This table contains different types of cactus. Some of it looks like it could be edible.
Talk more option tango.png Try some cactus.
The flavor is almost refreshing, if a bit bland. There don't seem to be any ill effects. The choya chief looks a little upset, however.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk end option tango.png I won't risk it.
Dessert Table: This table is covered in desserts, mainly various sweet-smelling pies.
Talk more option tango.png Have some pie.
The pie is sweet and tangy, made with some sort of local fruit.
Talk more option tango.png Try a different pie.
This pie is made of some sort of custard. Flavorful, and not too sweet.
Talk more option tango.png Try a different pie.
This pie is made of sweetened root vegetables and strong spices. You are beginning to feel full.
Talk more option tango.png Try a different pie.
You've eaten too much pie. It's hard to move.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk end option tango.png I should stop.
Talk end option tango.png I've had enough pie.
Talk end option tango.png I should go try something else now.
Talk end option tango.png No, thanks.
Drinks Table: There are all sorts of drinks here, some local, some imported.
Talk more option tango.png Try the Elonian Wine.
An elegant white wine with a distinctly floral taste. Though not too sweet, the flavor is rich and full, evoking thoughts of pastry dough and buttery breads.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Try the authentic Amnoon Roast Coffee.
This is a strong and bitter coffee with bits of grain, like grinding raw coffee beans with your teeth. The caffeine gives you an instant energy rush! (Applies Swiftness (effect).png Swiftness)
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Try the mint tea.
This tea is bright and refreshing, lightly sweet, and the mint is not overpowering.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Try the frozen, orange-colored drink.
This is an icy dessert drink made mostly of apricot juice and ice. The sudden shock of cold gives you brain freeze! (Applies Frozen (Path of Fire).png Frozen)
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk end option tango.png I'm not thirsty.
Fruit Table: This table contains a wide variety of fruits.
Talk more option tango.png Try the strange, spiky fruit.
It's green inside and tastes both tangy and sweet.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Try the flat, sliced fruit.
It's incredibly spicy! Your mouth is on fire.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Try hard, round fruit.
Oh, it's just an apple.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk end option tango.png I don't want fruit.
Seafood Table: This table has a wide assortment of fresh seafood.
Talk more option tango.png Try the raw shellfish.
That was very slimy.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Try the extra-fermented Orrian gulper.
The flavor is so intense, it's like a punch to the mouth. (Applies Knockback.png Knockback)
Talk end option tango.png Blech.
Talk more option tango.png Try the tilapia.
The tilapia is delicious, if heavily seasoned, with local spices and hints of citrus.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk end option tango.png I don't really feel like fish.
Talking to Dragon's Watch
<Character name>: As soon as I'm finished with this speech—thank you for encouraging them—we've got to gather everyone up and find Aurene.
Rytlock Brimstone: It's embarrassing to think that Dragon's Watch has been reduced to dragon babysitting.
<Character name>: You saw what happened when Balthazar died. Now we've got to go deal with an enraged, unpredictable Elder Dragon.
Rytlock Brimstone: All due respect, Commander, that's all I've wanted to do from the start.
<Character name>: Well, you're about to get your wish. I just have to figure out what I should tell these people first. Any advice?
Rytlock Brimstone: What did Canach say?
If Canach was spoken to first:
<Character name>: He advised caution. Why?
Otherwise:
<Character name>: I haven't spoken to him yet. Why?
Rytlock Brimstone: I just wanted to know which one of us you came to first.
<Character name>: Seriously?
Rytlock Brimstone: Well, I think you have to tell them the truth.
<Character name>: That the gods have abandoned them, that killing Balthazar backfired, and now there's a riled-up Crystal Dragon somewhere on the horizon?
Rytlock Brimstone: Listen, if Kralkatorrik shows his big scaly snout here, it'd be nice if these people were ready for it.
<Character name>: But then, maybe what these people really need is a brief moment of hope and happiness before they go back to living every day in fear.
Rytlock Brimstone: Hrrumppph. You've already talked to Kasmeer, haven't you?
<Character name>: Sorry, Tribune. I'm not saying.
Approaching Canach:
Canach: For the last time, I am not a grouchy cactus man. Nor am I a giant talking choya. You urchins have the manners of a fifthborn.
<Character name>: This celebration. It's all...wrong.
Canach: Tell me about it. They closed the casino for this little soirée, so I can't collect for my wager on you until tomorrow.
Canach: Which means I'm stuck in this haven for giddy, singing, dancing humans for at least one more day.
If sylvari:
Canach: Heat and humans is not my idea of a good time.
Otherwise:
Canach: We sylvari are not, by and large, a "giddy" folk.
<Character name>: We'll be out of here soon enough.
Canach: Really? Unless I misheard, don't you have a speaking engagement first?
<Character name>: Believe me, I considered just sneaking out, but I'm convinced Councilor Imann would just hunt me down.
Canach: Might I suggest, when you do speak, that you avoid giving them the whole frightful truth while they're in such a party mood?
Canach: On the other hand, I would also be wary of painting too rosy a picture. No reason to encourage their delusions of safety.
Canach: We want them to stop this frivolous behavior and return to their senses when the morning comes.
Canach: Just keep it vague. Nothing to get people too worked up either way.
<Character name>: You just don't want them to close the casino again tomorrow.
Canach: In my defense, it was a substantial wager.
<Character name>: Honestly, I'm not sure what I'll tell them. I just want to get it over with so we can turn our attention back to Aurene and Kralkatorrik.
Canach: Then remember..."vague."
Lady Kasmeer Meade: Commander, good. We've got to get back out there and find Aurene.
<Character name>: And figure out what to do about Kralkatorrik. We just have to make a graceful exit from this celebration.
Lady Kasmeer Meade: By the way, you're not considering...telling these people everything that's happened, are you?
<Character name>: I don't know yet.
Lady Kasmeer Meade: Please, I've spent a lot of time around these people. I'm not sure they could handle the truth about the gods or the Elder Dragons.
Lady Kasmeer Meade: Not after all they've been through. Can't we just give them one day...?
<Character name>: I suppose it is true the most immediate threat is gone...
Lady Kasmeer Meade: Then let them keep singing and dancing and laughing...for today. Whatever tomorrow brings, we'll face it then.
<Character name>: (sigh) Seems like saving the world used to be so much simpler.
After talking with all members of Dragon's Watch
Chief Councilor Imann: Commander, the crowd is getting restless. It's time to take the stage.
Performing the speech
If you have not spoken to any member of Dragon's Watch:
<Character name>: I might as well get this over with.
Chief Councilor Imann: People of Amnoon, please open your hearts and prick up your ears for the warrior who stood toe-to-toe with a wrathful god...and howled.
Rytlock Brimstone: (howls)
Speech
Speech: Begin your speech with a statement that is...
Talk quest choice tango.png Upbeat
<Character name>: Today, there's reason to celebrate, for the citizens of Amnoon, Elona, and the world.
<Character name>: For today, peace has returned to this land.
<Character name>: For too long, Balthazar and his army of Forged horrors have cast a dark cloud over the desert...
<Character name>: A darkness that threatened to consume us all.
<Character name>: He betrayed not only his fellow gods, but all of us who revered him.
<Character name>: But a short while ago, on the steps of the Kodash Bazaar, a tiny band of mortals stood up to this betrayer god.
<Character name>: And they put an end to his plans.
Cavalier (1): Praise the gods!
Cavalier (2): Thank you, Thank you.
Fisher: Amnoon loves you.
Lady Kasmeer Meade: Thank you.
Talk quest choice tango.png Vague
<Character name>: You call us heroes.
<Character name>: But while you honor us, the truth is, this victory belongs to all of you.
<Character name>: Balthazar betrayed everyone who revered him. Even the other gods rejected him.
<Character name>: But you—all of you—stood up to him.
<Character name>: And the four of us, all we did was finish the fight you started. Put an end to the nightmare.
Fisher: Speak up!
Cavalier: Ahai!
Canach: Good start.
Talk quest choice tango.png Somber
<Character name>: I know you're all here to celebrate the death of the fallen god whose's terrorized Elona for so long.
<Character name>: It's true, Balthazar is gone.
<Character name>: But so are many of your brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters who bravely stood up to him.
<Character name>: We should take a moment to honor them, and acknowledge their sacrifice.
<Character name>: Balthazar's death doesn't mean the end of adversity.
<Character name>: Ever since the gods arrived here, there have always been challenges. Struggles. Suffering.
<Character name>: But look around. You're still here.
Noble (1): When will it end?
Noble (2): Wh-What do we do now?
Cavalier: Not again.
Rytlock Brimstone: You're all welcome, by the way.
Speech: Continue your speech with a statement that is...
Talk quest choice tango.png Upbeat
<Character name>: Unfortunately, Balthazar's death had already set loose another beast of carnage...
<Character name>: The Elder Dragon, Kralkatorrik.
If charr:
<Character name>: The creature who once branded swaths of my homeland with crystalline death took to the skies over your beloved desert.
Otherwise:
<Character name>: The creature who once branded swatch of Ascalon with crystalline death took to the skies over your beloved desert.
<Character name>: So, after having slain the disgraced god, we now set ourselves a new task.
<Character name>: We swear to let no god nor beast harm this desert or its people.
<Character name>: For now, the wounded beast is gone. Driven off by our efforts.
<Character name>: For now, the long nights of chaos have given way to a new day of peace.
<Character name>: The Elder Dragons will no doubt someday return. But when they do, we will be ready. I promise.
If Somber was the previous choice:
Noble: Oh, good!
Citizen: I was worried.
Fisher: Now you're talking!
Lady Kasmeer Meade: Thank you.
If Upbeat or Vague was the previous choice:
Cavalier: To the commander!
Miner: Yes!
Troublemaker: Life is good.
Rytlock Brimstone: Bring 'em on!
Talk quest choice tango.png Vague
If charr:
<Character name>: But Balthazar's death also stirred the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik. It circled overhead attacking the desert just like it did my homeland ten years ago.
Otherwise:
<Character name>: But Balthazar's death also stirred the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik. It circled overhead attacking the desert just like it did Ascalon ten years ago.
<Character name>: When the smoke cleared, we saw it disappear over the horizon.
<Character name>: But the immediate threat is averted. Balthazar is dead. His forged army defeated. Meaning tranquility in the desert. At least for now.
Citizen: Yes!
Refugee: Can't hear you.
Noble: Keep going.
Talk quest choice tango.png Somber
<Character name>: Before she left, Kormir warned that killing Balthazar would lead to disaster. But we had no choice. Sadly, we now know she was right.
<Character name>: The Elder Dragon who left a noxious scar across Ascalon still lives. And Balthazar's death made Kralkatorrik stronger and more dangerous than ever before.
<Character name>: Which means that out there somewhere, just beyond your city walls, is a flying horror determined to finish what it started so many years ago.
Citizen: Oh, no. What?
Miner: Kralkatorrik?
If Somber was the previous choice:
Noble: What are you saying?
Troublemaker: Why did you do that?
Lady Kasmeer Meade: No.
If Upbeat was the previous choice:
Cavalier: Wait, so we're not going to be okay?
Rytlock Brimstone: You're all welcome, by the way.
Pedestal: Close your speech on a note that is...
Talk quest choice tango.png Upbeat
<Character name>: So, by all means, celebrate! Enjoy this moment. For as of now, this world belongs to us.
<Character name>: Not gods, not dragons. Not awakened or Forged or Branded. To us. Elonians, Tyrians, Canthans.
<Character name>: The world is changing. We, all of us, are the ones who are changing it. And woe to any who would stand in our way.
<Character name>: So a toast. Many challenges lie ahead. But may every battle lead to victory. And every victory to celebration.
<Character name>: Thank you.
Talk quest choice tango.png Vague
<Character name>: So for today, celebrate. Enjoy the peace Balthazar took from you. The peace you fought to regain.
<Character name>: And tomorrow, start rebuilding your lives and get ready to face the future...with whatever challenges and dangers it might bring.
<Character name>: May you always prevail.
<Character name>: Thank you.
Talk quest choice tango.png Somber
<Character name>: Take this moment to celebrate the death of the nightmare that has terrorized your world. Hopefully, tonight you will sleep easier.
<Character name>: But tomorrow is a new world, without gods, and still plagued with Elder Dragons intent on reclaiming this world as their own.
<Character name>: And we're the only thing standing in their way.
<Character name>: So, a toast. To this...lull in the battle. Sleep well.
<Character name>: Thank you.

Chief Councilor Imann: Still, I hate to see it all go to waste. So, you and your friends, please...take some hummus.
Canach: Now that you've convinced them the world's about to come crashing down around their ears, we should go.
After the speech
If the player has never successfully completed Help Talib recover his escaped sand shark pups
Noble thanks <Character name>.
Noble: Okay, so you and your friends can save the world, but you can't save my pets from becoming sand-shark snacks.
Otherwise
Noble thanks <Character name>.
Noble: I can't believe all you gotta do to get a party these days is kill a god.
Cavalier salutes <Character name>.
Cavalier: I'm so disappointed in Balthazar. You just don't expect that kind of behavior from a god.
Citizen greets to <Character name>.
Citizen: I just want you to know, you were my hero even before you killed Balthazar.
Troublemaker crosses their arms.
Troublemaker: Yeah, yeah, so tough killing a god. How do we know Balthazar didn't let you win?
Talking with Lord Faren at any time during the scene
Lord Faren: Commander! Good to see you! Congratulations on your victory. Though, I imagine you'd have won the battle sooner with Swordmaster Faren at your side. No matter!
Talk more option tango.png Enjoying the party?
Undoubtedly! Have you sampled the Elonian wine yet? It's magnificent! There must be something about the soil and heat down here that gives it a unique body. And speaking of bodies...

Talk more option tango.png How are things back in Lion's Arch? (same as below)
Talk end option tango.png Good to see you.
Talk more option tango.png I...uh...see you're working on your tan.
The sun here is amazing! Though once I've developed an even color I'll have to get to work on those pesky tan lines. Do you know of any nude beaches around Amnoon?
Talk more option tango.png It's nighttime. Maybe you should put some pants on.
But that would thwart my tanning regimen! I need every ounce of sunlight Amnoon can throw at me_day or night. These rippling muscles and glistening chest hairs take a lot of work, I'll have you know.

Meeting up with Dragon's Watch
Rytlock Brimstone: So, boss... What's next? I filled Taimi in on everything that happened with Balthazar, Kralkatorrik, and Aurene.
<Character name>: First of all, about my killing Balthazar...
Rytlock Brimstone: You did what you had to do. To save Aurene, and yourself.
Lady Kasmeer Meade: And if it weren't for you, Commander, none of those people at that party would be alive right now.
Canach: That's rather faint praise.
Taimi: Well, first thing we have to do is find Aurene.
Rytlock Brimstone: First thing is to hunt down Kralkatorrik.
Lady Kasmeer Meade: Neither of those will help until we find out how to replace Elder Dragons.
Rytlock Brimstone: And, as usual, we'll probably end up having to protect all those innocent idiots who don't know how to stay out of harm's way.

(Fireworks intermission)

<Character name>: We're all thinking it, so I'll just come out and say it... Should we try one more time to get all of Dragon's Watch together?
Canach: After all this time, do you even know where everyone is?
Marjory Delaqua: Well, one of them is right here.
Lady Kasmeer Meade: Jory!
Marjory Delaqua: Kas, thank the gods you're okay. Canach told me what happened with Balthazar.
Lady Kasmeer Meade: I was so afraid I'd never get to see you again. To tell you...I am so sorry about the way we left things.
Marjory Delaqua: I know, I know. Me too.

(A branded lightning storm in the background above the sea)

Taimi: I hate to interrupt, but did anyone feel that?
<Character name>: Feel what?
Canach: Oh dear.
Marjory Delaqua: Tell me this is just normal desert stuff.
<Character name>: Kralkatorrik.
Rytlock Brimstone: And so it begins.

(A cutscene plays showing Kralkatorrik making the desert more branded, followed by a larger Aurene growling)

Upon arrival in Amnoon, I was happily surprised by the arrival of Marjory and Taimi. There was little time to catch up, however, as the Amnoon Council invited me to help the city celebrate the defeat of Balthazar and the restoration of peace in the desert region.
It was an uncomfortable situation, as Balthazar's death empowered both Kralkatorrik and Aurene, and no one can say what either of the newly invigorated dragons will do next. Amnoon and the entire desert region are still very much at risk, so when Councilor Imann asked me to give a speech commemorating the occasion, I had to make some hard choices about what I would and would not say.
After my speech, I spoke with Rytlock, Canach, and Kasmeer about our plans. All we know for sure is that we have to find Aurene, and Kralkatorrik, and use what we've learned about Elder Dragons and Glint's legacy to restore the world's magic before what is now a crisis becomes a full-blown catastrophe.
Though it may already be too late: as we talked, the skies darkened and the ground shook, and Kralkatorrik itself appeared on the horizon, Branding all in its path as it moved across the desert.
