Prisca
“I'll try not to light anybody's tail on fire this time.
— Prisca
Prisca is the daughter of Flame Legion's acting imperator, Efram Greetsglory.[1] She is having a hard time adjusting to life in the Blood Legion Fahrar, where she is being bullied—especially by the other girls, who are likely unused to being around charr from such an infamously misogynistic legion.
Biography[edit]
Prologue: Bound by Blood[edit]
Prisca was born as the daughter of Efram Greetsglory in the Flame Legion. As per the legion's tradition, she was raised among fellow girls. Her sire led a splinter group seeking to atone for the legion's crimes and reintegrate both male and female members of the legion into the High Legions.
It was not until 1332 AE that Efram's faction was contacted by Tribune Crecia Stoneglow of the Blood Legion who invited them to the political All-Legion Rally in Grothmar Valley to celebrate the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik's death and the strength of the united charr legions. Efram accepted Blood Imperator Bangar Ruinbringer's terms of a truce even though his faction had to give their cubs up to be raised in the fahrar as members of the Blood Legion as a sign of goodwill.
After the Elder Dragon Aurene's sudden fly-by in the rally's opening ceremony had left the attending legions rattled, Efram returned to the Flame Legion's camp in the valley to calm his people down. Prisca told him that she and the other Flame cubs had had trouble adjusting to the Blood Legion's fahrar as they were being bullied by other cubs who still viewed the Flame Legion as an enemy to fight. In retaliation, Prisca had set the bullies' tails on fire. She had no intention of returning to the fahrar as she felt that everyone hated her there, the other girls in particular. Efram tried to make her see reason by reminding her that the old Flame ways no longer mattered, but had difficulties reaching out to her.[2]
The Pact Commander, acting as the Elder Dragon's champion, entered the Flame Legion's camp and attempted an apology for Aurene's interference in order to ease Efram's anxiety. Efram gently cut the Commander off by stating that both his splinter group and Aurene were still finding their place in the new world so he bore no ill will towards the Elder Dragon's actions. After hearing what the Flame cubs had experienced in the fahrar, the Commander volunteered to console the cubs. In the ensuing conversation, the Commander reassured Prisca by pointing out that her new life would get better despite the bad first impression and that she would make new friends and learn new things until the valley felt like home to her. Sufficiently convinced by the Commander's words, Prisca promised to try to be patient and see what happened while also promising not to light anyone's tail on fire again.
Some time later, Efram heard that strange, older charr had appeared in the fahrar in an attempt to recruit Prisca and other cubs to their cause. Realizing that the recruiters might have been the warmongering Renegades, Efram told Kasmeer Meade, one of the Commander's companions who had been observing the Flame Legion's magic since the ceremony, about his findings so they could investigate the matter together.[3]
Aftermath[edit]
Following the deaths of the Elder Dragons Jormag and Primordus in the clash at Anvil Rock in 1334 AE, Prisca accompanied her sire, who had become the de facto Imperator of the Flame Legion, as they visited the Crown Pavilion in Divinity's Reach to attend the Festival of the Four Winds. While enjoying the festivities, Prisca craftily asked the Commander to keep her sire busy with small talk so she could raid the food tables, surprising the Commander with the request.
