Inspect pillars. Air djinn hoard knowledge jealously. Once you get one to come out, you'll need to convince it before it escapes in another pillar. "Convince" here means defeating it into dust.

Legend has it they predate the Six Gods, maybe even the Elder Dragons. They served Glint by testing the Chosen trying to ascend and then created the Exalted to preserve her legacy.

Why would the Forgotten create and then leave behind glyphs?

My theory is the Forgotten knew their time was limited, so they left coded instructions so the Chosen could continue to fulfill Glint's legacy. Except no one has Ascended since then.
